Gouka is the Japanese word for luxurious and that’s exactly what you will experience with your ski holiday with us. Gouka Lodge is located in Niseko Hirafu - quite possibly the snowiest resort on the planet!

The home represents a unique combination of western and Japanese architecture, built with hearty Canadian materials by highly skilled Japanese craftsmen.

Accommodation and facilities have been designed for maximum comfort and flexibility for families or groups of friends. The owners, all experienced travellers and mad skiers, have paid attention to creating

a modern and well appointed ski lodge with modern facilities t...hat invites guests to feel completely at home. In fact, the most often used phrase our guests to describe Gouka Lodge is "cozy and comfortable" which is why most of our bookings are repeat customers - just check our reviews!

This property is a fully self?contained luxury home consisting of four bedrooms, two with en?suites and a third bathroom. Downstairs consists of an open plan living area with fully equipped gourmet kitchen and large dining area that is ideal for entertaining and provides an ideal home base for groups of friends or families. In-house catering is available on request through Niseko Gourmet.

Located in the exclusive and quiet Middle/Lower Village of Niseko Hirafu, the house is ideally located, only 30 seconds away from the shuttle bus stop and a short walk to many of the best bars and restaurants in Niseko. It is also only 100m from the Yukiro Onsen (hot spring mineral baths) for soaking away sore muscles at the end of each day. Those that are frequent Niseko visitors will all tell you that the lower-village is the place to stay in Niseko because: 1) you walk less (the shuttle is literally 30 seconds walk away on level ground and our property manager is available to drive you to the lift each morning); 2) most of the best bars and restaurants are in the lower village; 3) it is much quieter; and 4) Yukiro Onsen is around the corner.

Incuded in your stay is the services of our property manager, whether it is dropping you to the lifts in the morning, arranging dinner reservations or assisting with any issues during your stay. Free collection from the Welcome Centre on arrival and drop off on departure is also included.

  We stayed here last year with a couple of friends and it is truely a wonderful property. The owners have spent time fitting it out with all the mod cons and cozy funishings that any snow bunny would love and want. It is warm and cozy and a great place to entertaine friends if you have a group of you up there.
  The bedrooms and bathrooms and all perfect. The location is so close to the bus stop and the onsen is fantastic.
  The staff that Manager the property are outstanding and certainly treat everyone like Vip's, it adds that extra touch of class to an already outstanding property.
  I will most certainly be back soon :-)

  We stayed at Gouka Lodge 'Bondi' early in 2011, it was brilliant. The house is so comfortably set out. It is located about 50m flat walk (which is very important in the slippery snow somedays) to the free bus shuttle stop that takes you right to the gondola to start your days skiing. At the end of the day the town's Onsen (natural hot springs) is an easy 100m walk down the street.
  The house has beds for 8 and 3 bathrooms so there is never any need to be waiting too long. There are all the comforts of home here and more, internet, gas fireplace, a fully appointed kitchen any chef would love to cook in, cozy lounge, and the heated room that separates the front door from the inside ensures you stay nice and warm inside as people come and go.
  The staff that look after you treat you like Vip's. We would love to get back up here one day. It would really suit two families easily.

  I stayed at Gouka lodge last year and loved it. It is homely and comfortable whils being excellently presented. The layout of the lodge is perfect for a ski holiday. The position is great in the lower village with great access to shuttle buses to get around the villiage, very close to the an Onsen and great acess to all the bars. Throughly enjoyed my stay there and would stay again.

  I was lucky enough to stay at Gouka Lodge in 2011 and I really enjoyed my stay.
  
  The location is great in the lower village away from the crowds but very close to the local free shuttle. A short walk to the onsen, Yukiro.
  
  The house was quite spacious and was equipped with everything you needed. As a keen cook I enjoyed the set up of the kitchen, which had everything you needed.

  Gauka Lodge liegt im unteren Teil von Hirafu etwas abseits der Massen. Hier ist der japanische Flair. Zum Onsen sind es nur 2min zu FuĂź. Genauso sind viele kleine japanische Restaurants und Kneipen zu FuĂź erreichbar. Die Lodge ist super eingerichtet. Es hat reichlich Platz. Service und Betreuung vor Ort waren sehr gut.

The Onsen is just 2 min walk and many small Japanese restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. The lodge is superbly furnished. It has plenty of space. Service and support on site were very good.
