This Grade II listed cottage is situated in the village of Niton on the Isle of Wight and can sleep two people. Herveys Cottage is a Grade II listed, semi detached, thatched cottage adjoining the owner's home in the village of Niton on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight. With one double bedroom, a bathroom, a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with an electric fire and a dining table, this cottage is perfect for a romantic break for two. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The cottage was charming - if a tad cold. It's those thick stone walls you know!
Niton wasn't Brighton, but we loved the local friendliness and easy going style.
Our host couldn't have been more accomodating and the accomodation was first class (if a tad cold - there was a heater in the lounge though)
Would I stay there again? I don't think so. As charming as it was and as accomodating as were our hosts I would probably go for something more modern nearer the sea and not on the Isle of Wight. Been there done it etc. Any reccomendations?

When we arrived the owner was very welcoming and gave us lots of useful information to help us make the most from our week.
The home was all we needed for our week although you must be able to cope with the short flight of stairs to the bedroom
We thought this part of the Island for us was perfect in that it gave us the type of walking we like yet with bus services within 50yards if we wanted to leave the car behind. There were also good eating facilities at the local pub just a few minutes walk away and the small village supermarket a similar distance.The village itself was very pleasent complete with tea rooms.
At the end of our week we only had one small complaint and that was that the last bus back to Niton arrived in the village rather early in the evening . -

We have stayed at Hervey's for a third time and and as always, we enjoyed our stay as this is one of the most delightful cottages we have ever rented. The owners who live next door are helpful and friendly and we would recomend Herveys to any couple looking for a wonderful stay on the island.
