Additional Location Information
Nestled in the heart of The Seven Valleys lies the tranquil village of Willeman, home of "Le Noyer" our delightful french fermette.
Willeman is a beautiful village with a small stream "La Rivierette" and an abundance of wildlife. It boasts a superb chateau and two historical monuments," The Pigeonerie" and the church of "Ste Sulpice".
Although there is no commerce in Willeman, our neighbouring village of Filliévres, just minutes by car, has a superb bakery, butchers, bar and a bank.
The region of The Seven Valleys has much to offer it's visitors, from walking, cycling, fishing and golf, to kayaking, paintballing, go karting, ice skating and accrobranche. Not to mention the miles of unspoilt sandy beaches along France's Opal Coast, just oozing seafood restaurants with mouthwatering menus. There are two theme parks, a water park and a sealife centre within an hours drive of "Le Noyer" or slightly further afield are Parc Asterix and Disneyland Paris, both within 2 1/2 hours. If it is wartime history that interests you, why not visit the battlefields of The Somme and The Centre Historique Medieval. The history centre brings back to life the medieval period and the famous "Battle of Agincourt". More information on all these attractions and more, awaits you at "Le Noyer".
The nearby market town of Hesdin, just 10 mins drive, has many shops, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and cafés and the Thursday morning market is superb, with a wide choice of fresh local produce.
The region of The Seven Valleys really does have something for everyone, so what are you waiting for? Come on over and sample the gastronomical delights, tranquility, excitement and history.
Whatever you are looking for, you will certainly find it here!

London, UKWell equipped and comfortable gite
Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Madeleine the owner was extremely helpful throughout the early days of planning our trip, to our late arrival time and our check out. She has well equipped the property with plenty of thoughtful extras such as a good selection of games, books, Dvds etc. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, as is the bathroom. The living and dining areas are again very comfortable and well furnished. The bedrooms all large and clean with comfortable beds. Overall this is one of the nicest gites I have stayed in, and certainly the best set up for lazy/rainy days indoors.
The property is located on the fringe of Willeman, a small hamlet with no local facilities. However, the extremely pleasant village of Hesdin is situated 10 mins or so by car, and has a good tourist office and a nice selection of food shops, supermarkets and restaurants.
We found the owner, the gite and the area perfect for a long weekend break, and myself, a family friend and my autistic brother all had an enjoyable and very relaxing stay. I would highly recommend the property for people looking for similar.

DorchesterA welcoming, comfortable and relaxing holiday base.
Left on 04/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We went with family and friends to celebrate a special birthday. Madeleine and Xavier helped us arrange delivery of flowers and a delicious French birthday cake, as well as live bagpipe music (to honour our Scottish connection) at a small family party. Le Noyer is very clean and well-equipped and we particularly appreciated the log fire on cool evenings.
Nearby, Hesdin has an interesting history, ancient buildings, a small river running beside and under some of the streets and houses and a picturesque market on Thursday morning. We particularly liked the quiet rural location with views across the fields and we'll definitely return to explore further afield. -

OxfordA fantastic place to stay

We had a fantastic time at Le Noyer during our 1 week stay in april 2012. The house was very comfortable, clean and homely. The wood burning stove was well used and kept the house lovely and warm for us after our excursions in Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The property was very well equipped and easily accommodated two family's of four. The house is conveniently located and the kids had great fun fishing and then cooking their caught trout, horseriding, beachcombing etc. Madeleine was a great host, providing some additional bits and bobs that we needed and arranging a visit to the farm for the kids. Brilliant!

A group of 4 of us stayed at Le Noyer for a long weekend. It was the perfect place to take some time to relax and enjoy the French countryside! The house itself was modern and clean, with a very well equipped kitchen. The woodburner in the lounge was great, and kept us warm all weekend when the weather wasn't so great! We had some nice sunshine, so explored the village on foot - there are some very nice walks and photo opportunities!
Le Noyer was perfect for us, but I would say equally so for a family, as there were 2 rooms that we didn't even use! Madeleine was very helpful when we were making the booking and arriving/departing and so this always makes the experience so much nicer!
Hesdin, the nearby town, has everything that you would need - the shops and supermarket. We had our car, which we found very useful, as it meant that we could explore the surrounding towns and villages, and made the trip easy all round.
Overall I would highly recommend Le Noyer - whether for a long weekend or longer stay! -

Left on 03/12/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Stayed at Le Noyer for a long weekend with my children during March 2012 and the stay was absolutely perfect. Right from the start with meeting the owners Madeleine and Xaviar who were extremely knowledgeable about the area and we very hospitable throughout our stay, any information we needed was dealt with straight away without fuss. The property is large enough for a big family although we were only four, it is very spacious and comfortable and importantly extremely clean! Everything you need is catered for pretty much so it really is Home from Home. Madeleine and Xavier have clearly set up a very professional and happy feeling business here and that certainly comes across with the property. Willeman is a lovely quite village not busy at all. The château, although not the best in the area is a lovely architectural building. Lots of walking and cycling, we took the bikes with us so went cycling in the area which again is lovely. Just a five minute car ride to the next village Frevent and you have a local store that caters for all immediate needs, and you then have Hesdin the major town in the area for any larger needs or eating out in its many restaurants. All in all 10/10 for house and area, will defiantly be back in the summer :-)
Many thanks

LondonSpacious and comfortable with a fantastic woodburner
Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in December 2011
I stayed at Le Noyer for two nights in December with 4 friends on an extended booze cruise before Christmas. The cottage is spaceous and comfortable throughout, with modern kitchen and bathroom, and recently redecorated interior. The woodburner in the living room is great, and kept us all warm and cozy when the temperature was in negative figures outside! The village of Willeman is pretty and small with no shops or services, but we found everything we needed in the nearby town of Hesdin.

Stayed for week in half term with grandchildren.
Well equipped gite with good layout, Owners, Madelaine and Xavier, very welcoming and helpful. Took grandchildren to their farm to see cows being milked and for tractor rides.
Great situation for exploring and visits to coast - recommend Berck.
My daughter's verdict : "best gite I've stayed in"
