Ideal location -- steps from the beach, ocean view. Property is in good shape. 2 of the 3 bedrooms were great, the third was very cramped and stuffy because of low slanted rafter ceilings and no windows. Beds were very comfortable. Fantastic deck. North captiva island is very natural and unspoiled. I would warn you to bring every thing you need because there is no where to buy anything and they do not supply shampoo. I am eager to come back! We really enjoyed the "Get away From It all" feeling the island gave us. The kids enjoyed driving around the island making friends while driving in the golf cars.
Very quaint accommodation and lots of privacy!

We just want to thank Bonnie for letting us have a place to call our own for a wonderful week in Florida! Our 2 children (3 and 5) loved it!! We woke in the morning to a moon reflecting above the gulf waters that can be seen from the top deck. Each and every sunset surpassed the one before. I was lucky to find many sand dollars and even a very small seahorse as he washed up on shore. We revived him and sent him back out in the water. The only issue we had was the plumbing outside to wash our feet but my husband filled a cooler with water and that sufficed!! We saw an indigo snake, land tortoises, pilieated woodpeckers, many osprey, crabs of various kinds, and many, many cool things!! The beach is just a very short pathway away, the pools were refreshing, the staff friendly, and most people on the island are well received and also few and far between. We felt like the island was all our own. My son (5) caught grouper, sea bass, sand perch, blue fish, and even a large stingray which we let go of course. We found lots of large conch living in their beautiful shells and also many shells to keep and take home! My son said it best, "this is paradise!" Thank you...our kids will never forget! We will be back!!
Not the best vaction I had.

Service- the boat ride over to the island I was told not to take some of my stuff. I had a 5 week old baby and I was told I couldn't bring my stroller, car set, and my vibrate bouncy set. When leaving the island we had to tell the person behind the service desk 2 times that we needed someone to pick up our luggage at our house. Our luggage didn't arrive at the boat till 5 min. before it left for the main land.
The home we rented. - The house was very dirty. The floor was not swept or vacuum. One of the couches was wet, window blinds didn't open so we could see outside they were broke, and blood on the downstairs bedroom comforter.
Location- No problem with the location.
This time of year the sand flies must be out in full force because nobody could be out after the sun went down or you would have gotten bit up.

Everything about our families stay at North Captiva was spectacular. From the help of resort staff which was flawless even though we booked at the last minute groceries and all. Highly recommend booking through resort. The island itself is great place to spend time with family or just relax.
202-Bydesign was great. Ideal for a family of 4 or 5 and for larger groups if you rent the entire house. Right in-front of the beach and a short ride or walk to the pool area. We loved it and plan on returning.

Just a wonderful, beautiful place. Staff at Ncic were great. Location of the house was perfect. The house was immaculate. The crew at the boat rental place, Boats and Fun, were fantastic. We boated to Cabbage Key and Gasparilla Island - both gorgeous spots.
It was fun to see dolphins in the water all over the place.
We were there with our teens - I was a little worried they'd be bored on such a quiet island. Not for a second - we had lots of beach and pool time, stargazing, boating, and just a great time being together. Can't wait to go back with more family.
