Fabulous beachfront home has a private dock, private beach, manicured grounds and screened-in porch overlooking the water. Watch the dolphin go by and see the tarpon jumping in the sun. If you like to fish, this dock is the premier spot on the island, adjacent to Captiva Pass. You can clean your catch at the dock’s cleaning station and grill it right outside. Or jump in your private golf cart and roll down to Barnacle Phil’s for a cold beer and a fish taco, hike out to the nature preserve where the tortoises roam, or lounge on your private beach with a novel and a frozen beverage. Head down to the North Captiva Island Club, included with... your stay, and enjoy one of the two pools, the clay tennis courts, the pool bar and grill, or a complimentary kayak or bike ride. This is the island to come to for relaxation, and this is the house to do it in. Island Time cottage lies within 100 feet of the water, and the views are simply stunning.

The house is so quaint and nicely decorated. The screened in porch with the sliding doors is such a place of perfection to sit and enjoy the wonderful water views. Had such a good time just being my family. We had a lovely time while on the island. Read more

Nice time in north captiva

We stayed there in Feb of 2014. Fishing off the dock was great! As luck would have it, the neighbors were around for a day and gave some great pointers on what and how to fish from the dock... Weather was great, so we had a bunch of pool time at the Ncic which our kids (4&7) loved! The beach was nice, but not super for swimming given the current and the quick drop off (at least for our kids). But the other side of the island and the pool were fantastic. We were able to see tons of dolphins right off the dock as well! The only thing I would say was a small downer was that the gas grill was out of propane. I did ask the Ncic staff on 3 different occasions to have another brought out, but then gave up. Other than that, though, I think the owners do a great job and we loved our stay! Read more

Excellent Home On The Beach

Island Time 1 provided us with a week of relaxation and fun on North Captiva. The house has everything we needed to enjoy our time including a great kitchen, very comfortable beds, a screened porch to view Captiva Pass where you can see dolphins swim by daily, an outside patio area to enjoy the sun, a beach where we collected many shells, and a boat dock where we caught fish daily.
We had a great time walking the beaches on the gulf side of the island, playing in the sand, and collecting many shells. The island provided opportunity for us to have a great week.
We highly recommend Island Time 1 and plan to return to this location annually. Read more

Relaxing with a great view

We recently had a great family vacation staying at Island Time 1! Very comfortable, clean, nicely finished 2 bedroom house. Great access to your own dock with loads of fish to watch and your own piece of the beach. We have our own boat, so being able to dock it right there (at least during the day) was even better. A quick drive in the golf cart to the Ncic where the pools are great and the staff are great. Our kids aged 9 and 7 enjoyed every bit of it.
Wonderful fishing and relaxing.

We absolutely loved this charming home right on the beach. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and watching the dolphins play in the sound.
The well- equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze and dining in the screen porch overlooking the beach was awesome. All in all, a very comfy little home. We will definitely return.

Beautiful Home with a Beautiful View

We were wary about the rental because you never know if you can trust the online reviews you see. However, we couldn't have been more happy. A beautiful, modern home with a beautiful view, the place was very clean with all modern appliances. I believe the oven and microwave might be brand new. The only thing we would have liked would have been a washing machine for clothes, but it wasn't something we were promised. The only problem we had was the food delivery wasn't in place when we arrived late at night and didn't arrive until the next morning, but that has nothing to do with this specific house.

Awesome as usual

Only issues were the Satellite didn't work on the living room TV and the garbage disposal didn't work, so we couldn't use the dishwasher.
The home and location were great! Our favorite.

Captiva Island Club staff were nice. Island Time 1 was a real pleasure. Outstanding fishing off the dock and during the fishing excursion I took my daughter on. Sunset cruise was a great treat too. Our captain and first mate provided libations and entertainment that were exceptional. Enjoyed a spectacular dinner at the over the water restaurant. Sandies groceries service was well worth the money. Overall, it was one of the best vacation values we have taken advantage of. Truly relaxing sunsets, dolphins, shelling, private beaches abound...paradise found!! Read more

This house has an exceptional location and layout. My only complaint about it is that the TV sets on the bedrooms are very very small, when you are in bed it is hard to see any program. the guest room has nan outdated Directv decoder that does not work.
I brought my own 18 feet boat that I could not keep on the house dock because it seems that the owner does not allow to use the boat lift. The dockage can become rough due to changing tides and wind, that is why the boat lift is the only way to keep the boat on the property dock. I will probably look for another property that has a boat lift dockage that can be used by the visitor.
The check in and out was perfect and the people who took care of us was very friendly.
The island and it's soroundings it is trouly wounderful.

rest, relaxation and so much more

With both of us having busy & stressful jobs, we wanted a place where we could kick back and recharge our batteries. We chose North Captiva based on a family recommendation and every aspect of our holiday exceeded our expectations.
The booking process was as simple as it could be and we made use of the online grocery service which meant that when we arrived in our holiday home, everything was there waiting for us - how easy is that !. We ordered additional groceries whilst there and these were delivered to the property the same day.
As we visited in the off season, there were very few other occupants on the island, which made it feel all the more special as it felt like we had our own private island playground - something that very few people ever get to experience, and for us, it was fantastic.
We spent our days reading or walking the beaches looking for shells and afternoons / evenings fishing off our own dock. Fish was plentiful and appeared more often than not on our menu - you can't get fresher than that.
Our home for the 11 nights was Island Time 1 and we have to say it really was a home from home. It was furnished and kitted out beautifully and had absolutely everything we could need. The house has one of the best positions on the island overlooking Pine Island Sound and we were lucky enough to see some fantastic sunrises from the dock and the porch. Our thanks go to the owners for allowing IT1 to be rented out, we're already planning our return visit !
Thank you to everyone at Ncic (Alicia, Capt. Tom, Capt. Tedd, Jeff and Kayla) for a lovely holiday

This was our fifth year vacationing at North Captiva, and this house offered the best place for watching the sunrise, and fishing more than any other. Even though just a two bedroom, the large open kitchen, dining and living space makes a great gathering place for family for the entire weekend... really, we weren't inside much anyway! The weather was perfect, and fishing plentiful. We caught mackeral, shark off the island, and right off the dock caught many shrimp and a trout! We will be back!

Captiva is truly a unique experience. No resorts, grocery stores or restaurants. Just a pure unspoiled little island off Florida where the water is blue and the dolphins play right outside your window.
The houses we rented (Island Time I and II) were ready upon our arrival and perfect for our families. It was a perfect vacation in every way. We'll be back!
