Sea Glass is a recently upgraded, custom-built 4bedroom, 3 1/2 bath pool home that invites you to enjoy a true island getaway. Witha short stroll to the beach, about 120 yards, this home is decorated with a cozy beach cottage flair and features fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico,the state wildlife preserve and spectacular Gulf sunsets. Sea Glass offers two Master Suites and two additional spacious bedrooms, a private pool and sun deck area, ceiling fans and rooms that are bathed in light from the beautifulmission style windows. This home also offers an elevator for elderly or handicapped persons.

A true getaway! The top level of the... home has aspacious, open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, a deluxe kitchen, great room,half bath, and a master suite with a queen-size bed, jetted tub, and its ownprivate balcony. In addition, this level has a screened porch where you canenjoy al fresco dining with beautiful views of the Gulf and state preserve. Thekitchen is well equipped and spacious. The great room, with its cozy slip-coveredfurniture (including a queen size sleeper sofa), features TV with Dish Network,DVD, surround sound and an assortment of games for the family and books perfectfor reading on the beach. Wireless internet is available throughout theproperty. Just off the screened porch, a spiral staircase leads to the lowerlevel porch featuring a luxurious two person hammock and access to the pool onthe ground level. The second level of the house has another master suite with aking-size bed and two bedrooms sharing a Jack and Jill bath. Both of thesebedrooms open to the large porch.One of the two bedrooms is decorated with a king-size bed and the otheris outfitted as a kids’ paradise with their own TV, Dish Network and aPlayStation2! The kids’ room is decorated with a bunk bed, featuring a twin uptop, full at the lower bunk, and a twin-size trundle underneath. There is evena “pack and play” available, so no need to haul your own! This level has anadditional private porch off the front of the home. You’ll find the laundryroom and a selection of beach towels on this level. The pool deck featurescushioned chaise lounges, a Kettler outdoor ping pong table, an additionalhammock and both gas and charcoal grills.   Love this rental but don't want to say too much about it, lest everyone want to rent it and we have a hard time reserving it again! Kids love the pool, we love the view from the screened in porch. This island is heavenly, no t-shirt shops, no crazy tourists- peace, quiet, dolphins and shells- amazing! Pool heat not working but they came quickly to fix it.

  Sea Glass is a jewel for beach goers!

  We celebrated Mom's 80th birthday by having a "Florida adventure" as most of us already live in the state. There were 12 family members ranging in age from almost 2 to 83, and Sea Glass worked just right. There was elevator for the 2 who were mobility challenged, and a private pool with a large deck, grill, and ping-pong table to relax right there at the house while babysitting the 2 yr old. The view was awesome from the many spacious decks. The beach was right down the road, and we found the best shells right there! With the house rental, you get a golf cart (no gas vehicles allowed), 4 beach chairs, and an umbrella. You can also use the club pool, and check out bikes and kayaks.
  
  The North Captiva Island Club (Ncic) manages this house as well as many others. They can arrange to have your groceries delivered... we carried our own including rib eyes for the birthday dinner, and it worked out very well. They supplied all linens, bath towels (no washcloths, though), beach towels, TP, tissues, and paper towels. They also provided cleaning supplies (bar soap for sinks and showers, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap (we needed more), and dishwasher soap.
  
  You drive to Pine Island (near Ft. Myers) and catch a ferry from there. Minimize the cars you drive... it costs to park ($7.50/day/car) as well as take the ferry ($32/p r/t). Two members of our group flew in, and we were able to arrange a taxi that picked them up at the airport and delivered them to the ferry at 10 pm! Ncic can help with all those arrangements. Getting there is an adventure in and of itself!
  
  In addition, my brother brought his boat down from Venice, FL, and he was able to dock it right there at Ncic. (We had him bring the adult beverages to minimize the heavy lifting at the ferry.) We used the boat one day for a shelling expedition from Caya Costa down to the Sanibel Lighthouse to see what shells ts Debby had washed in - what fun!
  
  Everyone in the group loved the vacation - there are several posts on FB! We decided that it is a definitely a "do-over!"

  The island is excellent. It was exactly what we were looking for. The house is exactly what you see in the pictures. I might be tempted to say that it might be a little better than expected. Very clean! Very prompt service! The only thing I will complain about is that the house has an occupancy of 12 people. It would be logical for a week long rental to take a week long supply of food for 12 people, yet there was no help provided to take all that food up two flights of stairs. When we asked the delivery personel for help they said no. The house has an elevator (that we understand why it is locked and not available for guests) that could be used by the delivery personnel to take the food to the third floor and then lock it again. Only one person in our party had the ability to carry things up the stairs (the other where too old or taking care of the children) and he was in pain after it all.
  Other than that the house was great. The pool was dirty the first day but as soon as we pointed it out they came and it was clear for the rest of the trip. The beach close to the house is not that great, but it's usable. Yet the great beach is a golf cart ride away. The kayaks are excellent. The pools at the club are excellent as well.

  This house was sooo well equiped with pool toys, towels, ping pong table, cookware! You name it, they had it! The house is very close to the beach and has a great pool set up! Best house we have rented in N Captiva in the 5 years we have been going!
