Description from the manager
Once you arrive at The Conch House, the first thing youβll notice is the spectacular downstairs pool area. Not only is there an oversized pool for everyoneβs enjoyment, but there is also an island tiki barβ complete with 4-person bar seating, beverage refrigerator, ice maker and a 42β HD TV. Where else can you watch the big game while you and the kids go swimming in the pool?! Loungers, Adirondack chairs and a dining table line the pool deck where there is a seat for everyone - in both the sun and shade. The pool has the much desired western exposure allowing for this amazing entertainment area to be enjoyed throughout the whole day i...Read more

IndianapolisCasual and Beautiful Comfort!

This was our first trip to North Captiva and we loved every minute of it! Conch House was just perfect for us and our 2 college age kids. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor by itself with a beautiful view although there was no door to the third floor--open staircase. We rented an extra cart and enjoyed driving around the island. Great days at the beach and never missed a sunset. The pool was great and we could watch the Ncaa tournament from the pool.We mostly grilled in but ate at the pool bar,Barnacle Phils, and and the Boathouse. All quite good but a bit expensive to be expected. We really liked the location of this house as it was in a quieter part of island closer to the park. Just a couple minute golf cart ride to the beach. A couple cool weather days typical of March. Hope to return again!

Overall pleased with every part of The Couch House! Pool, TV area, Tiki Bar is awesome place for the entire family to hang out! Exactly what we wanted! Warmest pool to date; which is great for that evening swim. Lacked storage in kitchen but thats a small issue when it comes to vacations. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Ncic :)
We plan to be back next year! -

If you have children, I would highly suggest you look into North Captiva Island and The Conch House. I had many suggestions to choose a house without a pool because of the public pool but when you have two-year old twin boys and a 5 year old boy, the pool becomes the savior when you need to be close to home. I absolutely must have a tiki bar with a flat screen TV outside at my house someday! My only criticism of the island is, try not to make it so obvious that you can charge whatever you want for food, snacks and essentials once we're on the island. Other than that, the Island Club provided wonderful service, The Conch House couldn't have been more comfortable and the privacy is perfect. Plus, there is a very safe feeling on the island for kids. There are no cars and no paved roads, so there's no fear of an accident. The Gulf is much more calm than the atlantic, so there's not much worry about undertoe and strong waves. You'll be sorry of you don't take a look at North Cap!!!

I have nothing negative to stay about our vacation in North Captiva. The Conch House was in excellent condition. The decor of the home is splendid and gorgeous! This is our second time on the island, but this house made our trip extra special. The home is warm and welcoming. Great floor plan. We highly recommend it.

Great service: boat, planning, information on the house
The House is perfect and very comfortable despite the dryer which is really noisy. Otherwise everything was working well.
Very nice pool (perfect for kids), super grill.
Check out is too early. Not convenient with kids. We should have more flexibility. -

We stayed at the Conch house for a month. The last week of February thru the third week of March. The staff at the Captiva club was very accommodating and nice. From Kayla and avina in the front office to Hillary, Jackie and amanda in the bar. We went on several excursions with boats of fun and every time we had a wonderful experience.
We will definitely be back next year.
The house has a new bar area by the pool with a big screen tv. You could live by the pool. The house was clean and comfortable and a good value. -

Our family of five had an absolutely wonderful vacation on North Captiva. As our often particular eight year old son said, " this is the best vacation ever!". The house was fully equipped with all the amenities of home, but made you feel worlds away. The beach was unspoiled and beautiful. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We will return!
