We've been going to the beach for years and always look for a ground-floor unit. We love that this is ground-floor and literally right next to the pool. We can actually watch the kids from the kitchen table. The beach was SO close and very well kept! The pool and grounds were also very well kept.
The reason I gave this condo an "Average" rating is because we were not impressed with the condo. There are several reasons why we were not impressed: The kitchen is small and not very well equipped- no plastic cups, no storage containers, baking pans were old and rusty, stove drawer does not close correctly, burners do not sit flat and and they do not heat up very quickly. Several of the kitchen items were dirty.
The sheets on the beds do not fit so we were constantly trying to get them back around the mattresses. The master bathroom was GROSS. Scum and dirt all around the sink and shower. The shower has black mold on the outside of the floor/door and there is about a 4-5 crack in the shower floor. The shower head also has lots of scum built up on it and the shower head drips constantly!!! There is dirt/dust all around the floor and floor-boards.
The pictures show carpet in the condo, but there is none. There's a part of flooring in the hallway (going into the hall bath) where it's split and coming up. The rug in the LR is very hard on the feet.
Our biggest disappointment is that we were woken up in the middle of the night with a LOUD crash...a huge mirror fell off the back of the hall bathroom door and shattered. The mirror was way too heavy to have on the back of a plywood door with tiny screws. We are VERY thankful that no one was in there when it fell off. It took 3 phone calls and 4 hours for someone from the realty office to come get the broken glass.
Needless to say, we won't be back to this condo. We save all year to take a beach vacation and this was a big let-down. -

We were very happy with this property. We were literally steps away from the pool and beach and were within walking distance to an Irish pub! You do have to drive if you are looking for "amenities" but we were very happy being away from the hustle and bustle. We would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay in August 2011 at the Ocean Garden Villas - Unit L1. At 1st we were worried about being so close to the pool and on the 1st floor - but, we couldn't be happier with how it all worked out. It was great to be able to come off the
beach and just reach over the deck railing to set all of our beach 'stuff' down easily without dragging it through the room. We would highly recommend this unit and hope to stay there again someday. -

Very nice location and the public areas were very well kept and cleaned daily. This unit needs to be updated from the 80s. Its tired. Several doors have to be slammed to get them to close, patio screen torn, patio door handle missing, bathroom mold and mildew,and very poor tv reception in the master bedroom and only fair in living room, sleeper sofa was not comfortable.
