There is nothing not to love about this gorgeous condo. My husband and I spent 10 days here in February, a welcome reprieve from the deep freeze of Wisconsin in winter. My parents joined us for five of those nights, and we took advantage of all the "extras" provided by the owner. We grilled outside the patio, swam in the infinity pool, walked the beachfront, and cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. Best of all, the kitchen, living room, master bedroom, and patio all feature expansive ocean views. We loved the screened-in patio, which has a great table and 4 chairs for reading, playing games, or catching up over breakfast.
A few notable highlights: the Kaibo Beach Bar is next door, and on two nights, we walked over and ordered food to bring back and enjoy on our own patio. The condo comes with several bicycles and a huge stack of beach towels. Best of all, it's 1.1 mile (according to our GPS unit) from Rum Point, an easy 20-minute walk or 3-minute drive. Everything was flawlessly clean, from the interior of the unit, to the pool/hot tub area, to the beach. Also, we were really impressed by the property manager, Barbara. Our first full day at the condo, the unit above us was blasting music (full of F-bombs and drug references) at 9:30am. A quick phone call to Barbara had the music off in 30 minutes.
The furniture and decor is beautiful yet functional. The condo felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. If you're looking to stay on the quiet side of Grand Cayman, this is absolutely the place to be. -

Had a great stay at Blue S'Kai. John was fantastic to deal with during the planning stages, and all arrangements were super easy. Our request for an early arrival was handled smoothly and graciously as were all my many questions via email.
The unit is fantastic, very well appointed with everything one could ever want, and even some essentials left in the fridge. We stayed during a pretty quiet time when only a couple other units were occupied so many times we had the whole beach and pool area to ourselves. The sunroom is a huge plus, especially as a place to escape the heat during the day. It was nice to be able to do laundry before we left instead of coming home to chores.
We took the cruiser bikes to Run Point one day which was fun but we decided to stay at our own beach for the rest of the week. We ate at Kaibo every night including their beach BBQ which was a lot of fun and good food (see separate review). They even allowed us to bring take-out back to the unit so we could eat in the sunroom with a bottle of our own wine. We also ate Upstairs at Kaibo (see separate review) on our last night and while expensive, it was a fantastic experience and worth every penny.
The Dawn Stingray tour with Ocean frontiers left from Kaibo so it was very convenient especially for an early morning departure (see separate review).
The only nitpick I would have is that the master bedroom is very hot at night. The aC doesn't seem to cool it down as much as I would have liked. -

My husband and I stayed the week of November 3rd and had an amazing time. The owner John was very helpful with all kinds of information such as things to do, driving directions, where to shop, dine and so on. The week we stayed was very quiet, many days we had the pool to ourselves and felt like we were in our own little paradise. The condo was exactly as described, it was super clean and very well stocked. Kaibo Yatch Club next door was nice addition, if we didn't feel like cooking and there are many good restaurants within 10 - 15 minutes drive. We can highly recommend this condo, thanks John for the opportunity and we hope to return soon!

The condo was great; well-stocked with plenty of towels, beach toys, snorkel equipment, etc... literally it does have everything you need; location is superb! Overall we had a great experience with John, the condo is very well kept. We would definitely go again to this place. Thank you John!

Spent an amazing week in John's condo the week before Easter with our two girls, ages 5 and 8. Prior to our trip, John was extremely helpful in providing directions, tips, and responding to my questions. Driving on the left side of the road was not as bad as we thought, so don't worry about having to rent a car to drive up to this beautiful location! We stopped for groceries on the way and if we didn't feel like cooking, could just get lunch or dinner at Kaibo next door.
The condo was great: very clean, well-equipped with beach towels, snorkel gear, even laundry detergent! I spent every morning on the screened porch with a cup of coffee or two - no need to rush to reserve any beach chairs! We often had the pool to ourselves, and for swimming in the ocean, could walk to Starfish Beach (yes, you'll see lots of starfish), or 5 minute drive to Rum Point, which is beautiful.
This is the first vacation with kids that I've actually returned relaxed! One of the better memories is driving into Georgetown for a submarine ride, then coming up to see 5 cruise ships full of people just swarming and looking hot and overwhelmed - so thankful to drive back to the peace and quiet of Kaibo!
The only negative I would say is that near the end of the week, they put up a fence between the condo and the beach in preparation for many campers over Easter weekend. Fortunately, we left Friday and didn't have to deal with a blocked view for too long, but my suggestion is to avoid that week/end.
Thanks to John for a great experience - we highly recommend! -

The service was very good as we accidentally locked ourselves out and had an immediate response. Johns condo was well equipped, clean, spacious and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the filtered water tank and cel phone.
Our only complaint was the beachfront. We are very much beach people enjoying daily water sports and like to be in the water every day. I do not recommend swimming in the water in front of the condo as with all the boats there the water is not clear and the water bottom was not sandy. The positive was Rum Point beach was a very short drive down the road. We thoroughly enjoyed this beach (even on days cruise ships and locals days). We got there every day around 9:30-10:00 and had our pick of the best location/chairs on the beach. There are water sports and a restaurant so we were well taken care of. Lastly, we were there Easter weekend so wired fencing was set up in front of the condos to secure access to the condo since tent city is directly next door(2 days a year the caymans are allowed to camp next door and we were there for this). We would have appreciated a heads up on this as the beginning of the trip was tainted by this(looking at wired fencing) however this was removed as soon as the holiday was over and the view was then beautiful. John was very responsive/accommodating and we would recommend his place as long as you are nt looking a beachfront you can swim in. -

Thank you very much John for all your help. All the information you gave us (directions, attractions, supermarkets, snorkeling sites, etc..)were not only very accurate but easy to follow. The gluten free food was available at Hurley's supermarket. The snorkeling with Red Sail Tours was incredible. We saw lobster, eel, and many colorful fish. Stingray city was a blast. The kids (10yr,8yrs old) were a little worried at the beginning, but did great soon thereafter. The sunset at starfish beach is very romantic and you also see very large starfish there. We did the atlantis submarine mostly because we wanted my mom to see what you can see beneath the surface. She enjoyed it very much. We saw turtles, barracudas, Angelfish, Lionfish, very large Tarpons, Hogfish etc, etc .We also went to the Botanic Park. My mom loved the flowers and the kids enjoyed the blue iguanas. One iguana even climbed and sat with us in the bench we were resting with the kids. The condo was very well equipped and the kids loved the infinity pool. Great weather, great place and very friendly people. We definitely would love to return one day.

Before I begin about my trip I first have to say John was so accommodating when I had to change the dates of my trip because my son was very sick.He gave me the next dates I requested. My family which includes my wife and two children 3yrs old & 6 yrs old stayed at the condo for 6 nights. We drove from the airport which was a great drive and directions John gave us were easy. The unit is located on the first floor and is within feet of a beautiful pool and lagoon. The unit is spacious, spotless and well decorated and had everything you would need. John even supplied cd's that he made which was a little added touch. The property was not crowded and some days we had the place to ourselves. There is a really good restaurant next door in case you dont feel like cooking. But John does supply a grill for outdoor cooking.I would recommend the unit for the location itself, the Northside. Enjoy!!!

We stayed at Blue S'kai for not long enough...5 nights, and got to relax and feel very at home. Other reviews captured the Lynch-resort-by-the-ocean accurately, except it was even better equipped...( we found toothpicks to make our hors d'ouevres). Snorkeling from the dock on the first day, we explored the bay and found lots of little blue fish and several starfish. We had a car rental (must for staying up here) and so explored the north and east coasts, stopping and snorkeling. My son did a few searches on line and found the Geneva Kathleen wreck and Barefoot beach. The blow holes were not at their peak, as there needs to be high tide and winds...but we did witness one good blow. Botanical Gardens are lovely, especially the color gardens...with 4 blue iguanas, some hidden in the bush, one in the grass, and one sunning on the orchid garden boardwalk. Take the woodland stroll before you tour the rest of the garden. We were there for almost 2 hours. Tuesday nights a nice reggae band plays next door at the Kaibo.

As long as this condo is available to rent we will keep returning to the same place! Thank you again John for a great vacation!

My husband and I recently visited Grand Cayman and can't say enough good things about the island or this condo. The location couldn't have been better if you are looking for a quiet and secluded area. We had the pool to ourselves and were the only ones snorkeling at the beach several times. The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed. Mr. Lynch did a fantastic job of keeping in touch proir to our trip, supplying us with lots of info about the island, etc and even sent an email when we returned just making sure that everything was the way it was supposed to be. You will not be disappointed with this condo, the service Mr. Lynch provides or the location. It doesn't get much better than this!

I can't say enough good things about our experience renting this condo!
This place had everything we needed for a great vacation! Dishes, pots, pans, utenils, small appliances down to an awesome blender!
The view is stunning & the Kaibo beach bar right next door is an added bonus.
I've also never worked with a more helpful and professional owner. Working out the details of the rental with John was so easy and we will definitely rent from him again.
Grand Cayman in general is a beautiful island. There's plenty to do but you don't feel like you're rushed to cram everything in. Stingray City is a must! There's also beautiful snorkeling and quiet uncrowded little beaches everywhere you turn. There's also plenty to do even if you're not a "beach person".
Even with a couple of cruise ships in port during out visit, Georgetown wasn't what I consider super crowded. They're ususally gone by 4pm anyway.
I highly recommend visiting Grand Cayman & I highly recommend renting this condo - you won't be disappointed with either! -

John...thank you for an absolutely wonderful time in Grand Cayman. The condo was just as described and we couldn't have chosen a better area to stay in. After traveling the island a few times to Georgetown and 7 mile beach I was always glad to go back to a very beautiful and peaceful condo. We walked up to starfish beach one day also and could not believe the size of the starfish. The information you emailed me was perfect...We took your advise on a few adventures and couldn't be happier. Even the driving was not as bad as I thought it would be. I ended up on the wrong side once (and of course the cops were right there to pull me over)!! We all laughed about it and the police officer told me to go back to the condo and have a drink, so that is what we did!! Thank you again... I have referred your condo to my co-workers who are planning a trip to the caymans. My next trip will be with my husband only...Take care and you will hear from me soon...

This is just a fantastic condo in a fabulous location. All of the amenities are beautiful and new. It is very uncrowded and serene during the week, many times we had the pool and beach to ourselves. Good food next door at the Kaibo and down the street at Rum Point. The location is very secluded at the end of the road and my family felt like it was home for a week. My teenage boys loved the pool, the xbox and the dvds. John provides everything you could need, you wont find a nicer condo in the Caymans for this price.

The condo was a great choice for us. It was clean, well situated to beaches and well stocked with beach items that made our stay fun. We were a distance from the ever popular 7 mile beach area, but the drive was not difficult and, frankly, we strongly preferred the quite and relaxed atmosphere of Kaibo anyway. The proximity of the condo to Rum Point was wonderful, and we spent a large amount of time there because the beach is lovely, offered good food, and had plenty of shade and activities. Also, we were especially pleased with the amount of information the owner of the condo provided us in advance of our stay. We have rented many beach homes over the years, but the friendly assitance provided here stands out from the pack. We definitely plan to return.

John Lynch's condo in Grand Cayman was a wonderful place to stay! There were 4 adults in our group. It had everything we could possibly need, including a great restaurant right next door.(Kaibo Grill) It was quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to Rum Point to take advantage of their great excursions. We took the glass-bottom boat out to Stingray City, took a couple of kayak trips and spent several days just exploring the island. The property manager, Barbara, took care of our every need. We had a great time - the condo is very well equipped, and the location is fabulous! Great views, mostly quiet, with the beach and pool right outside the porch, and the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant and bar less than a minute's stroll away. We received plenty of information from John by email to get organised, and I can't recommend the place highly enough. It's quite a long drive from Georgetown, but we much preferred the remoteness and tranquility, which you wouldn't get on Seven Mile Beach... Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a wonderful, relaxing week. The owner had given us a lot of information: driving directions, things to do, where to shop and dine. The condo is very clean, well stocked, and literally on the beach. We explored the east side of the island, went to the Seven Miles beach, but our favorite is the Rum Point beach, which is a five minutes drive. We wish there were more choices for eating out close by. Our favorite meal was at the Upstairs restaurant next door, and The Lighthouse (the table on the water is very romantic) and the brazilian steakhouse were also outstanding. We did not visit Stingray City this time, as we were able to see a few stingrays at the Rum Point beach. Thank you John, we will return someday soon.

If you choose to stay at Blue S'Kai, you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I have rented condos in the us, Mexico and Caribbean but Blue S'kai condo was by far the best. John Lynch is a professional and what he promises, he will deliver. The condo had charming decor, was well equipped and in a beautifully maintained community. If you need something as small as a band-aid, I bet you will find it in this condo.
We arrived on Sunday. Mr. Lynch's directions to the condo were detailed and spot on. We ate next door at the Yacht club that night and headed to Georgetown the next morning. Monday was perfect for sightseeing, tourist shopping and before leaving town, grocery shopping. There were no cruise ships in town and it was a perfectly uncrowded day to do those sorts of things.
The remainder of the week was spent at Rum Point, or diving or reading by the pool or laying on the beach in front of the condo.
Our favorite condo features included the fact that it was away from the hustle & bustle of Georgetown / Seven Mile Beach, there was a great view, plenty of large towels, a washer & dryer, beachfront access directly from the enclosed porch, a bar-b-q grill, bikes and nice furnishings with a comfortable master bedroom mattress.
Our least favorite thing about the condo was that it is located within a small bay so there are no waves to lull you to sleep at night. However, we knew this before we booked with Mr. Lynch. I only included this fact in my review because I do want to honestly share the only thing that I could think of that could possibly make the stay any better.
In closing, this is the first condo that we would definitely try to book with again. If you choose Blue S'Kai, you will not be disappointed. Blue S'Kai should satisfy even the fussiest of travelers.
Sincerely,
The Box Family -

If you are looking for a quiet spot away from the crowds to completely relax, this is your spot. The condo was exactly as promised. After a quick stop by the grocery store, we drove out to Kaibo. Only because the weather turned bad the final 2 days, did we decide to venture out to Georgetown. We quickly came back to our secluded side of the island! I would suggest a car, especially in late Sept, as some of the restaurants are closed during this season. However, what else do you need when you have "Over the Edge"? It's has awesome food and is priced reasonably. Driftwood is a good watering hole, too, with very good pizza. If you are looking to completely spread out and relax in a comfortable, safe setting, this is your place!

Our family of 4 (2 kids- 14 and 9 y/o boys) stayed at Blue S'Kai June 13-27, 2010. From the first moment I contacted John in august 2009 to a month after our stay he has been amazing! Questions answered almost immediately, information galore full of suggestions on what to do/where to go, detailed driving directions from airport to the front door...and Barbara was the icing on the cake! The condo manager was so very welcoming and helpful! She had groceries waiting for us on our Sunday arrival, and, when the cable went out (had to have for the guys and the World Cup games!) she contacted the cable company immediately to have them out for repair.
Location was prime and exactly what we were looking for...away form the touristy areas, quiet, yet offering plenty to keep the boys busy (fishing, swimming, ect) and allow Mom and Dad time to chill! Having the yacht club next door made lunches easy for those days we didn't want to cook, and for a convenient evening out for Mom and Dad. Rum Point is just down the road for a different beach experience, trips to Stingray City (a most-do!), and mudslides.

From the rental process with the owner, John Lynch, right thru to the end of our vacation was a complete pleasure. This unit has anything that you could need or want for your stay. The location was private and serene, which made for a very relaxing vacation for my husband and I. Would definately come back and stay here again.

Blue S'kai is the perfect retreat in quaint Cayman Kai. Blue S'kai has all the amenities including up-to-date furnishings including a fully stocked kitchen (a big plus for cooking), bikes, snorkel gear, cell phone, ipod receiver, the perfect screened in porch to enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the boats come into the bay, an infinity pool, hot tub, a grill for cooking the catch of the day, the tiki bar just a few barefoot steps away, and my personal favorite (grocery concierge for a small fee). This place is the best place to stay on the island if you are looking for paradise away from the crowds and the condo owner is extremely helpful in making sure your stay is everything you dreamed it would be. Enjoy!

Having been here before it was a very easy choice to stay here when we decided to return to Grand Cayman. This is exactly the place to be if you want peace and quiet without the fast hectic pace of the Seven Mile Beach area.
The condo is perfectly outfitted for anyone. The first floor setting with the beach and water just outside your door is great!
We will be back again. -

We stayed at Blue S'Kai from 2/20-2/26. This is a wonderful location, and the owner really went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable. He let us use his bikes, snorkel gear, and provided tons of useful information that allowed us to really hit the Island right away.
The condo is new, very comfortable, has a wonderful screened-in porch on the sand, and is located right next a wonderful bar with incredible drinks! There is a great endless pool, and hot tub about 20 steps away.
You need to rent a car, but we easily got around the island all week. We went to Rum Point a lot, and Morritt-Tortuga for some Water sports. Red Sail Sports was excellent.
If you really like the 7 Mile Beach scene, you should not rent here. It is more laid back and relaxing. We did go to town/7 Mile twice though.

We had a wonderful time! Everything you need to setup "shop" is here. We enjoyed sitting out on the screened porch in the evening playing games. Beautiful sunsets! Fantastic blue waters! What more do you need? Food? The grocery stores are every bit as good as in the U.S.

Condo unit is very spacious and well apponted. There were five of us and we managed very well with the pull out sleeper sofa. Pool area was NEVER crowded with sun loungers always available. Weather was in the low to mid 80's the entire 10 days. Water was a constant 83 degrees. Rum Point was just down the road with terrific snorkling. Very helpful staff & no scams!! We rented a car & explored the entire island. Provided "pay as you go" cell phone was a huge help, thank you. As business owners we needed to keep in touch periodically and we were able to top up at the post office & some gas stations fairly easily. Trip highlights were snorkling at Rum Point and Cemetary Beach. Georgetown great if shopping is your thing (avoid Tues-Thurs if you want to avoid the largest crowds). The only disappoointment was we were unable to go on the Sting Ray City/snorkling trip due to high winds the last 3 days. I would strongly suggest you book this trip early in your stay in case it needs to be postponed/rescheduled. Apparently the goverment decides if the sand bar needs to be closed due to weather/water conditions, which is probably good for safety reasons.... but I so wanted to go!! Food/groceries very expensive on the island (about double compared to US and maybe 20% higher for UK costs. If you can bring some supplies with you (small washing powder, dry goods, etc.) it will help the vacation budget. Explored some restaurants around the area, Kaibo Grill very good & not crowded. I would avoid "Over the Edge" due to poor service, indifference from management & mediocre food. New Years Eve was terrific!! Kaibo Grill had a New Years Eve celebration but we decided to BBQ ourselves and enjoy the fireworks and facinating "Illuminating Lanterns" released into the night sky at midnight.

We spent 4 great days here with two jr. high age boys. They had a great time with their own room and bathroom! Everything was so great, still has that new smell and feel to the place. You can't beat this location, walk down the street and find football size starfish, right off the beach! This condo is stocked with all new everything from furniture to the silverware. It is a true home away from home. We snorkeled, we ate well and we WILL be back. Thanks John. :)
