Description from the manager

4BR Den/4BA Heritage House is directly on the oceanfront in Rum Point on the north coast. This villa offers excellent snorkeling directly behind the house, along with a very sandy beach that offers long walks in either direction. The Rum Point Club is only a 250 yd walk from Heritage House. Pool shoes/fins required for swimming or snorkeling anywhere there is a marine environment.

Particularly unique at Heritage House is a full-width second floor oceanfront covered veranda--with sectional sofa and chairs for cocktail hour, or just to curl up while reading a good book. The large freshwater pool is located on the land-side at Heritage Hou...Read more

      Wow! What a great time

Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had the pleasure of staying at the Heritage House for a week at the end of april/beginning of May. The house is not centrally located to the the main part of the island, it is beautifully secluded on the North End of the island. We were within walking distance of Rum Point plus we could snorkel right off the beach at Heritage House. We traveled with our three adult children and their spouse or significant other. There were 8 adults in the house. Plenty of room for all of us. We would go back to Heritage House in a heartbeat. The pool out front was a plus. The weather was beautiful and the amenities were spectacular.

Enjoyable week of relaxation in paradise!

Left on 05/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had 2 families of 5 staying in Heritage House. The space was very accommodating for our group. The house was great - the 2 verandas overlooking the beautiful ocean were our favorite places to hang out. The Master bedroom on the main floor would be better with improved lighting in the bathroom & shower. The snorkeling behind the house was unbelievable. We were fortunate to have calm seas and winds the first half of our stay. We saw an array of fish, including a barracuda and sea ray. The second half, strong winds kicked in and we were unable to snorkel with any success. The advice to have water shoes was good - you cannot walk into the ocean with bare feet. Though if you plan to only snorkel, the fins work fine. The beach had some rocky, coral spots but plenty of sand for the kids to play as well. The pool was a big hit with our 6 kids. The location is a bit distant from most things on the island - which has its pros and cons, so it just depends on whether you want to be close to lots of activities or stay put. There are 4-5 decent restaurants within a 5-20 minute drive. We highly recommend Kaibo Upstairs, which is a mile down the road - high end meal, but perhaps one of the best dinners we have ever had!

      Wow! What an amazing place

Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We spent a wonderful week at the Heritage house and couldn't be more pleased. We arrived at the appointed check in time and the ladies were just completing their cleaning process, they do a great job. The house is well appointed as far as cookery and basic essentials. Rum point is literally a 5 minute walk down the road. The food at the restaurant is excellent, the bartenders were very attentive and a heavy pour which is ideal. The kids enjoyed the beach but also utilized the pool almost everyday. The snorkeling off the back is excellent, we encountered sea turtles, a lovely barracuda and copious other sea life. We enjoyed meals at the lighthouse, kaibo upstairs ( excellent rum selections) also. Beware that when the cruise ships are in town Wednesday and Thursday when we were there things are a little hectic. I definitely advise enjoying stingray city and the barrier reef on days when the ships are not in port. The coral gardens is an excellent snorkel spot, the moray eel is amazing. All together we had an amazing visit, the house was perfect for us and we would definitely recommend it. Maybe I shouldn't say that so it's available the next time we come down. One item to note, definitely bring water shoes, lots of rocks off the back of the house, not an issue unless you don't have water shoes.

Heritage House is set in a quiet spot with beautiful snorkeling on its beach. The House itself is clean and easy to manage. The first floor porch is wonderful for meals when the wind is not blowing fiercely. If you want a more festive beach Rum Point is an easy walk.

      Grand Cayman Heritage House

The Heritage House was amazing! My husband, myself and another couple stayed at the Heritage House. The two master suites on separate floors worked out perfect for privacy. The pool on the road side of the house was a great addition to our enjoyment

The beach in front of the villa was raked and clean the day we arrived and was cleaned halfway through our visit. Turtle grass and debris does wash up on this side of the island but we had no problems with it in front of the Heritage House. There were a couple of villas along the beach that no one was staying in and there was quite a bit of debris washed up on their beach. Not horrible but it did take away from the beauty of the area. Too bad the owners in that area can't start an association to clean the beaches.

My husband and I snorkeled right off the beach in front of the villa. It was the best snorkeling I have ever done. We saw Sea Turtles, a Moray Eel, a Barracuda, and lots of other beautiful fish and coral.

There are quite a few restaurants within a short distance of the villa, Rum Point Bar and Rum Point Restaurant (walking distance), Over the Edge (less than five miles), Kaibo Yacht Club (less than a mile), and my personal favorite is The Lighthouse Restaurant (about 10 miles).

I highly recommend that you visit Starfish Point. We saw about ten starfish in knee deep water.

We loved our stay at Heritage House and plan to return with our kids and their families.

Very nice house - great time on Cayman

Left on 11/28/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Traveled with Mother-in-law, wife and our 3 kids. House was plenty big enough - nice to have 1 bedroom on first floor since the stairs would have been an issue for mother-in-law. Was located conviently close to Rum Pointe were we spent a couple of days which was fun. Kids like snorkeling just off the beach in back - saw rays, turtle and tons of other small fish. House had everything we needed - nice decor, plenty of space for everyone and nice and quiet - very relaxing. You definatey need a rental car as you are on north side of island and most activities are in Georgetown - if you are planning anything there - about 45min to an hour drive. Couple of things to be aware of - beach is a lottle rocky and then is grass after that - this is not 7 mile nice sandy beaches, also was pretty windy the whole time out of the north (back of house/beach faces north). All these things were spelled out to us by the villa rental agency so no suprise, but just don't expect nice all sandy beach and calm water in the winter time - I hear it is much less windy in the summer. Overrall had a great time in a great house - information provided by rental agency was very thourough and very helpful - great job

The house had all the amendities that you needed. I would be cooking and needed something and found it easily. When we arrived the house was walk in ready. The house was stocked with food so I recommend using the grocery delivery only $65 to delivery worth it! it was nice to have food and cold beverages when we arrived. Also had the kayaks and pool floaties delivered also recommended. Rum Point walking distance was nice to have close by. I had to call the mananger once on something and they were there asap. It was nice to have a phone at the house to make local calls just amendites you do not really think about unless you do not have them. Thank you Jim for all your emails with my questions on our reservation irt helped out alot..

View from porch Kayaking and snorkel everyday! Watching the sun rise...... Rum Point!

Beautiful, peaceful and room for all!

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in December 2011

We spent a week at Heritage House for Christmas 2011. Our entire family attended, 2 daughters, their husband and so, plus 2 granddaughters. My mother, 94, also was there. We all had a private bedroom plus private baths. My oldest granddaughter even had her own private bedroom on the pull out sofa in the den. The plus was there was a first floor master that allowed my mother a great time with very few stairs. We loved the beach - probably had only 5 people walk down "our" beach during the week...but when we wanted action, we did the 3 minute walk to Rum Point, one of my favorite outdoor bar and grills in GC. We drove to town Christmas Eve for a nice dinner and on the way back enjoyed the many Christmas decorations along the way. If you are there over Christmas, be sure to make time to take a night time drive and stop at the many homes with displays. We stocked up on groceries before heading around, but had a little grocery store not far away to keep us going. We had a beautiful pool to enjoy with the little girls and the beautiful blue water. We loved having a "girls" veranda and a "guys" veranda. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook - and with a crowd our size we did the majority of meals at the house. We had one issue with the gas grill which was taken care of immediately. The guys love to fish so the upside was the water across the road was perfect for them to do some fly fishing trying to hook the huge tarpon. My husband and I had just completed (4 days prior) our move to South Carolina from the Kansas City area. We drove a truck out and unloaded, so this trip was just what we needed for rest and relaxation! This was a perfect getaway that was peaceful and gave us plenty of room.

Enjoying the fun water toys located in the shed! Laying on the beach and gazing at the beautiful water was a popular pastime
