Description from the manager

4BR/3BA Luxury Kai Vista is directly oceanfront in Rum Point on the north coast. This lovely villa sits elevated on a ridge and offers excellent snorkeling directly behind the oceanfront infinity pool and hot tub. Only 250 yards from the Rum Point Club, Kai Vista couldn't have a better location. A very sandy beach offers long walks in either direction. Pool shoes/fins required for swimming or snorkeling anywhere there is a marine environment.

Many oceanfront windows and 8' tall sliding glass doors to the sea flood the villa with Caribbean sunshine year round. Sliding glass doors open to the pool deck and ocean from the kitchen, living a...Read more

      Spectacular View

Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We spent 13 days enjoying the fantastic view from this home. We lived outdoors. The patio furniture is very comfortable, the pool is lovely, and the hot tub was great for those cool, windy days and evenings. The sound of the waves crashing over the reef is wonderful and the turqoise waters beautiful. We had some issues with the pool shutting off and the hot tub needing fresh water, but once we called it was attended to immediately. We experienced the pool with the waterfall off at first and we were disappointed, but then once it got turned on, the wind blew the water back and you had to move your chairs around to avoid getting wet. On a really hot day, that spray would have felt great, but some of our time there was cooler.

The kitchen is well equipped and the dining room comfortable for our party of 8 (including the infant high chair). The home is spacious.

The home has plenty of seating, but the couches were not to our personal preference as they are a bit low to the ground. They are far better than the wicker you find in villas so often. The younger set lounged away and didn't seem to mind. There is one footstool which is something I look for in a rental. The TV is a flat screen, but on the small side; but we didn't use it but one time anyway, so this is not a high priority item for our family.

The beds are more comfortable than most. They all make a noise when you first get in, but there were no morning backaches from the older crowd. All were pleased. We have rented villas for the past 15 years and our family has gotten to be pretty critical.

The beach is well maintained; the hammock was enjoyed, especially by the young couples. We appreciated the snorkel gear and pool toys, but were disappointed one of the kyaks was out of comission. We did walk easily to Rum Point and enjoyed strolls on the beach. This home was cleaner than most.

Over all this is one of the nicer rentals and our family voted it to have the best view possible.

      Great Get away!

Left on 01/29/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Just wanted to let you know how much we truly enjoyed our stay at Kai Vista! Everything was perfect. From the spacious rooms to the beautiful infinity pool. It was great to attend the events at the Cayman Cookout but we also thoroughly enjoyed the Upstairs at Kaibo on our last night, Aqua, Dolce Vita and speaking with the chef at Tukka post meal. We felt very safe andI was able to exercise and take off running everyday and some days took it a little easier and used the nice bikes. We also took the liberty of snorkeling right out front frequently and one day went out with cayman luxury yachts on their 45' Sea Ray and had a blast. I can not tell you enough how nicely equipped the villa was compared to others I have rented around the country :) No complaints here! Your web site is definitely the best and most informative we have come across, too! We thank you for your time and look forward to renting you with you again in the near future!

      This house was perfect!

Left on 01/21/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We have been to Grand Cayman many times and always stayed on Seven Mile Beach, but never again! Now in addition to our children we have grandchildren and a villa is definitely the only way to go. This house exceeded our expectations. The pool was gorgeous--ask for the heater! and the snorkeling right outside was, as everyone else has stated, the best on the island. The power went out one late afternoon and the property manager was there within a half hour with candles, which we ended up not needing as the power was back on in an hour. We walked to Rum Point many times and only went into town twice as there was no need! We will definitely rent this house next time we come.

      Total paradise

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We had the best time. The house was so comfy and the location on rum point perfect. It was one of the only houses on the rocky beach that had a clear path for barefoot walking. The snorkeling and sealife were amazing and just outside our door. The kids found hundreds of hermit crabs. We hired a cook named Rosie to do some shopping and meals. I highly recommend her and her services. When we go back, Kai vista is where we will stay.

      Stunning!

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Our family of 5 had an absolutely wonderful time at Kai Vista. The home is beautiful and the new infinity pool looks out over perfect clear blue snorkling waters (we saw three turtles and tons of sea life right out the back!). I saw more snorkeling with the kids than I did diving (and I did six dives)! We couldn't get the house for our entire vacation so went to the Marriott for a few days. It was a disappointing shock to us after spending a relaxing week at Kai Vista. Rum Point was also a highlight being so close with a nice restaurant/bar, beach volleyball, charters, etc. yet far enough away to not impact the serenity at this home.

      Kai Vista...paradise awaits you!

Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012

There really are no words to describe how perfect this home and its location are. The north side of Grand Cayman is peaceful, quiet and you have a beautiful reef protected aquarium right in front of the house. We snorkeled 50-100 ft out from the house and saw so many different tropical fish, coral, turtles, lobster...it was amazing. The new infinity pool was wonderful. Rum Point beach, which is right around the corner, was the best..we saw stingrays as well as many fish in waist deep water! The house was clean, very well stocked and the management staff were always available and helpful. We had a party of 8 and the house never felt crowded. Highly recommend this property and location!

      What a great place

Left on 03/14/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Kai Vista was a wonderful place for our family holiday. The house is huge and this allowed the nine of us to be together, but not under each other's feet. The house was in great shape, and the brand new pool and hot tub was a great feature (we had 3 small children with us). The views of the ocean were spectacular, the privacy was great, and people friendly. We were only a short walk to Rum Point which has an excellent beach and restaurants.

We have traveled to GCI before, but always stayed on seven mile beach. The North Side where Kai Vista is located is much nicer, especially if you want to be away from the crowds, cruisers, traffic. On the other hand if you are interested in lots of bars and restaurants and the tourist scene this probably isn't your cup of tea. We loved it and plan to come back. I'd choose Kai Vista without hesitation.

      Dream Family Vacation

Left on 03/14/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We had a great time at Kai Vista - the house is well equipped with everything you could want from an ipod docking station/outdoor speakers, all the kitchen amenities you could think of and even extra snorkel gear. The pool is large and beautiful and the snorkeling that is right out front of the house is great. The house is far away from most of the hustle/bustle of Grand Cayman but we still managed to find some good restaurants within 30 minutes away and and had fun. Our party consisted of 2 families, each with kids 5 and under and we were perfectly happy to stay put at the house most days. If you want activity (shopping, tourists, tons of restaurants) then this isn't the place for you but if you are looking for a gorgeous home with pool and beach access in a lovely island than I'd definitely recommend this place!.
