We rented Hampton Colony 408 for the week in September, 2012. This house is amazing. The ocean view from the dining room table was spectacular. It was so wonderful to to drink a cup of coffee while looking out at that beautiful view. The decor was absolutely beautiful! We loved all of the bright colors through out the house. The floorplan was perfect for 3 families with 4 small children.
This house is wired- nice flat panel Tv's in each room, surround sound speakers built into the ceiling, a sound system running through the house, a netflix account for streaming movies, a Wii console... the list goes on! The house even came with a laptop, a docking station and a printer. We were very impressed with the up to date technology.
Mostly, we loved the convenience of our own private beach access. It was so great to be able to walk right off of our porch and down the walkway to the beach. North Topsail is very residential so the beach was never very crowded. It was the perfect place for a family vacation. -

The house was great and very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Some suggestions would be: more cutting boards and a knife sharpener in the kitchen, larger trash can/recycling can in the kitchen; larger dining room table that seats more people, more blankets available - the a/c works very good. I would also suggest either more frequent

This home is colorful, comfortable, and very well maintained! We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is very desirable, not far from the bridge which brings you onto the island. The high speed internet was easy to connect to, and widely used by all ages in our party.
For the owners, you have a lovely home! Future guests would probably enjoy a larger cutting board, a cookie sheet, and more silverware. There were only 8 of us at the house, and we ran out of forks every few hours.
The check in process with Treasure Realty was difficult at best. We stood outside in line for 35 minutes, then indoors for 10 more minutes waiting to be checked in. There was no signage or explanation for the check in process for a first time visitor.Response from Treasure Realty - 09/21/2012

We have been coming to Topsail Island for several years. This is the nicest house we've ever rented. The owners have beautifully decorated this beach house. Plenty of room for a large family. Large decks on front and back of house on both levels. We also enjoyed the hot tub.

Stayed for Memorial Day Week- went with 2 other families for the majority of the week- some had to leave due to school. This house is great for multiple families. The view is great from the top deck and every evening we enjoyed a sunset from the street side decks. The stereo surround sound throughout the house was a great plus. The kids enjoyed having space to themselves and all of the extra's like volley ball and Wii. I would highly recommend this home. The beds are very comfy and there is plenty of space. The only item I would change is the amount of pots/pans and oven gloves. We like to cook and found that there were plenty of dishes but not enough options for cooking. Picky I realize. Wonderful vacation. If you like to cook go to Surf City to get fresh fish & shrimp daily. Always amazing. Love Topsail and look forward to going back next year. Check in and check out was easy.

House was awesome. Had issues with a wedding in another house so I could not get my car close to the house to unload all of our luggage till wedding was over later that night. Other homes are real close - so no real privacy when using hot tubs or decks. Also had a ant problem that never went away the whole time we were there. But other than that - house - beach - and island were awesome.

It was a nice place - there were a few things that didn't work out. The hot tub was broken and we called several times to had it fixed, but no one ever came to fix it. Also, the glass coffee table was cracked. When the guy came to take it away (as it was dangerous to kids), he was pretty reckless with it - and he ended up dropping it and it shattered everywhere... but things happen and overall it was good

Thanks for alerting us about the coffee table and for your patience with the repair. Unfortunately, I cannot find record of any issues with the hot tub at this property, so I'm not sure what happened there. We do rely on independent vendors to service the hot tubs, so sometimes when you call us, we call them, but they do not always respond as promptly as we would like. Other times, they come but do not leave notice that they have been and serviced the equipment. Perhaps this was a communication error on our part. We are trying to improve in this area, so thanks for your valuable feedback about it. If you submitted a guest satisfaction report after your stay, then we should have refunded the hot tub activation fee to you; if we didn't then I am so sorry about that.
