Is it too much trouble to have a towel rack in the bathrooms? How about hangers in closets? Or even a closet that opens? A level oven that won't spew out pans to burn people? Had to go buy our own hand towels, and kitchen towels. Yes, we tried to call the "emergency" number for the realtor only to not have it answered. Several calls later-unanswered, we had to go to the office only to be treated rudely. At the rental fee we paid, it was too much trouble to have the beds made?? The comforter on one king be was ratty and pilly so we had to use 2 twin comforters. The pillows were lumpy. We paid extra to use the hot tub only to have several of the jets not work. It could be a nice rental space but definately needs better property management. I will not rent from treasure realty again.

Thanks for your candid review. I am glad that you like the location but sorry to hear that you all did not enjoy your stay overall. I agree that it could have been better. I do wish that you had called our office or left a message with our on-call agents if you were unable to get anyone to answer the emergency line, (although none of the issues you mentioned here were emergencies).
Honestly, I do not see any record of complaints from you—by phone or in person—until you checked out. I’m not sure what happened there, but had you informed us of the issues during your stay, we would have been glad to address them for you while you were here. With regard to hand/kitchen towels and beds being made, those are issues for the linen rental company. Their number was located on the front of your check-in packet along with instructions to call them with linen issues.
Treasure Realty’s goal is to make your stay as pleasant as possible, and we are always eager to assist you if you let us know when you need assistance. I do apologize for the inconveniences that you all endured. We would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have resolved them for you. Lastly, I did want to mention that this home was sold to new owners less than a month prior to your visit. This was our second trip to North Topsail Beach and for us what is most desirable is proximity to the beach, this is it! I wished the deck was larger and that you could get to the beach from the top deck but those are probably my only complaints, which are not even worthwhile since the house and location were absolutely amazing!!! Hot tub is a plus in the cooler months, we stayed with two other families and it was a great sized home, I recommend it highly!

We rented this home in april. It was a great unit. It has all the comforts of home and was well kept and very clean. We will rent this place again next time we come to visit TopSail Beach.

We arrived at the Treasure Reality office early, around 10am, even though we knew we couldnt check in until later in the afternoon. We got the keys, and they let us know that it wouldnt be ready until check in time (I cant remember the time, but in the afternoon). We had our 9 month old twins with us and had driven through the night so they were more than ready to get settled in. We went to the house anyway, and set our luggage in the driveway and went to the beach. We didnt go in the house. After awhile the cleaning lady came and said she didnt mind if we came in the house and setup the twins travel cribs and let them take a nap, so we did. Taking into consideration that the house was pretty dirty when we arrived, but we also werent supposed to check in until the afternoon... We brought the kids in to take and I stayed inside as well while they slept. Well, come check in time all of our family came in as well and the cleaning lady was still cleaning... She actually was there until 10:30pm that night!!! I understand the house was dirty and definitly needed cleaning, but wow! she actually had to come back the next morngin to finish the job! She didnt leave until around 3pm the next afternoon!!! I dont want to get her in trouble because she was very nice, but I dont believe it should take that long to clean a house, and if it does, treasure reality should have provided help to ensure the house was clean by the time we were supposed to check in. House was beautiful, and seemed very new, right on the beach, great location... but no pool like it says on the website...there is a community pool, "somewhere", but im not even sure if it was within walking distance, i think we drove past it once... Also there are a lot of stairs!!! the 2nd floor is just 2-3 bedrooms and bathrooms, nothing else, the living room, kitchen, etc is all on the 3rd floors... no elevator or anything (which is fine with me).

Hey Salvatore… thanks so much for the review of this home and your visit last summer. I’m going to say you are right. The community pool is maybe 150 yards or so from the house. But you have to admit, it is a beautiful walk. Sorry that it was inconvenient for your family. I glad you were okay with the stairs. I do share your surprise and angst over the housekeeping person’s intrusion on your vacation. Please understand that this is very unusual and we have taken actions to see that it does not recur (and please don’t worry, she did not get into too much trouble…just some sensitivity training). We try to have every property ready by 3 p.m. but we know that extenuating circumstances may require a little more time. That’s why we consider check-in from 3 p.m. through 5 p.m. There is really no excuse for staying that late or coming back the next day. Thank you so much for your patience. Beautiful Beach lovely house ... however the cleaning was not up to standards and the internet access was an issue as wi fi was not easily accessed and family members needed it for school and work ..

I'm sorry about the wi-fi access as well. I'm not sure what you mean about it not being easily accessed since no one else has mentioned that, but I will share your feedback with the new owner, since this home was recently sold. With regard to trash, that can be tricky. We rely on renters to follow the trash pickup schedule during their stay, but sometimes this doesn't happen and trash can build up. The house was everything and then some. Our family of 8 and my sister's family of 3 had the best time. Very roomy and nice big kitchen. The beach, needless to say, was breathtaking.

The house was gorgeous and we had a very nice time. We stayed in the off season so the value was good and it was right on the water so it was extremely convenient. However, the service was horrible. The oven broke on the first night and they couldn't fix it so they brought us a small toaster oven to cook in for 10 people. We also paid the deposit for the hot tub but it was broken and they didn't fix it until the 3rd day. They did refund the money for the hot tub which was nice. Also, the house was for sale and the realtor brought potential buyers by the house while we were there. Finally, the sound proofing between floors was poor so it was extremely noisy for anyone who wanted to sleep while other people were awake.

The oven is one of those unforeseen things that happens sometimes. Apparently parts or a new oven had to be ordered, such that our vendor couldn't repair it as quickly as we would have liked. The same could be said of the the hot tub I suppose. Thanks for allowing us to refund that fee for you. I'm so sorry that you were without it for most of your stay. With regard to a realtor showing the home during your stay, they are not allowed to do that without prior permission from the renter. You could have refused them if you preferred they not come by. I do apologize for any miscommunication or inconvenience there. I'm happy to report that this home has recently been sold, so that shouldn't be an issue going forward. We would not ever book another stay through Treasure Realty. They gave us the keys, told us the house was ready, when we arrived it was still being cleaned. It was another two hours before they were done and we could get in the house. When we did,one of the beds was broken, there was problems with some of the doors, and all the vents were so clogged, no air came out of them. We called every day to the realty company to no avail, they would not return our calls, would not send anyone out to fix the problems. I would not recommend Treasure Realty to anyone. A very poor experience, do not rent thru this company.

The house was wonderful. I would have liked to take the stove home with me, but the accessories were lacking. The silverware was so cheesy, a baby could bend it. There were plenty of dishes, but not enough glassware for the number of people in the house.

The house was beautiful. Nice quiet end of the island. Hot tub was a nice perk. We were very disappointed, however, in how well the house was stocked. Having vacationed in Top Sail the past 6 years we have never stayed at a house that had so little in the kitchen as well as outside. For the number of people this house slept, and we weren't at capacity, there were not enough utensils, plates, cups. Nothing was kid friendly (plastic). Cook wear was poor at best if they had what you need. Outside... no toys no buckets... no nothin'.

View and accomodations were incredible. Place was clean and there was some construction near by but we never heard a peep!!! Loved it!!!
