Ohio RN
Brookfield, OHWouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
Left on 05/28/2012 for a stay in July 2011
We had previously stayed at this house a few years ago. What a disappointment we got when we returned. The house had not been well maintained. The kitchen was dirty. The drawers were full of crumbs and food particles. Some of the cabinets were in need of repair. There wasn't a large enough pan to cook for our family of 17. The sliding door at the rear of the home could not be properly secured because the handle was falling off. The walls were filthy and in need of fresh paint. There was mold growing in the bathrooms. The carpeting in the master suite had spots on it that looked like an animal had wet on the floor. The upstairs bedroom facing the ocean had furniture that was literally disintegrating. All the mattresses needed replaced. The fan in the children's bedroom was not working properly. The living room furniture was dirty. There were so many crumbs under the cushions on the sofa and chair that it was disgusting. The ottoman was broken. Some of the plastic deck chairs were broken and unsafe to sit on. There were nails protruding on the walkways to the outdoor shower and to the beach. The basement steps hadn't been swept in a long time and there was enough sand on them to cause a person to slip and fall. The furniture in the dining room looked like it had been picked up at a yard sale. The chairs did not fit under the table correctly. When we contacted the realty about these problems we were told that a repairman would come and fix the lock and we were told that we were expected to wait for him and let him in. When we arrived home I sent the realty a letter siting our concerns but never heard from them. I will be surprised if this criticism ever makes it into print. Furthermore the pool was closed for repair part of the week we were there. The poolhouse and the structure around the pool was in disrepair. The only reason I gave this house a 1 star rating was for the beach. Otherwise I would have given it a zero.

Hey Ohio RN....you are right, the beach is the saving grace of most every home down here. I am so sorry this home was less than you had hoped. Sometimes a home come become a bit outdated and show some wear. This home has been purchased by new, enthusiastic owners as of April 2012. Hopefully, this fall will see some marked improvements. Let me know if I can help you in any way. Thanks. Bill. 888.223.8180
