I rented the other side of house 2yrs ago and thought I would try this side since my cousin was on the other side. There was mold on the ceiling in the second floor which above that was the toilet..lamp fixtures were following apart, waher and dryer needs replaced they looked terrible and rusty kinda scared to wash our clothes. Picketts on deck were off when we arrived some of them very dangerouse..if you have kids..I feel the five hours after someone checks out 10am until we can checkin at 3pm that place should be nice and clean smelling was not and dusty...ps all the blinds were bent up..and to top it off the beds sucked..at least a nice bed..my cousins room on the first floor facing the ocean she was making the bed and white powder was flying around now if that doesn't give you a sense of the creeeps..but I really liked the location..but won't rent that house again..Doug, Renee' , Tammy , Danny and Maxine...but looking forward to another week at topsail 2013

I apologize for the inconveniences you experienced, and I appreciate you informing us of a couple of those at lunch time, soon after your early check-in. It looks like we were able to take care of the loose/missing pickets and the sticky door handle/key issue for you. Had you informed us of the other issues including the dustiness of the home, we would have been glad to address those and send a cleaning crew back out while you were here. I will share your suggestions for a new washer/dryer and some new blinds and mattresses with the owner. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Rented here for a change of pace - usually rent in Surf City. The house was ok - shook when the tide came in. Also all of my stuff was coated with saltwater slime when we left(never at the other place). No internet and just not for us. Won't be trying that again - sry:(

I have rented this unit many times and also the unit next to it over the past 15-20 years. Obviously, I have liked it very much or I wouldn't keep returning. Because this section of Topsail is very quiet and has not been commercialized, it is the ideal setting for a get away from it all vacation. I just rented the unit again for this year (October 2012)
