Overall, the house was fantastic - no complaints at all - about the house. Beautiful home, tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home. That said, it is beyond comprehension how any management company can charge full price for a rental property on a holiday weekend and not have the foresight to ensure that the amenities that were paid for in good faith were not available. My husband and I rented this home with two of our children, their spouses and two of our grandchildren. At check in, I was given a pool key, but was absolutely stunned to learn the pool was closed. I called the office on Saturday morning and was told that someone would get back to me - the "had no idea it was closed." I did receive a return call late Saturday afternoon and was told they were waiting on the county inspection. I expressed my disappointment, but there was no offer by the management company to do anything to compensate us for the fact that we booked a house, with the understanding it would have a pool for our two young grandsons - and then that pool was not available. Again, the house was great, but so far, I am not impressed with Treasure Realty and do not foresee doing business with this company in the future.

Thanks for your candid review. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the house and your stay. I do apologize that the pool was not available on memorial day weekend. I know that was disappointing for all of you, and I wish that there was something we could have done to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, we have no control over if/when community HOAs schedule and attain pool inspections from the county.
Our FAQ page explains that “...the functionality of amenities managed by home owners associations are out of the control of Treasure Realty” (http://www.treasurerealty.com/rentals/faq.htm).
Furthermore, as specified in item 30 of your rental agreement, “Most pools are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. However, pool opening/closing dates are subject to change without notice and without recourse or refund” (http://www.treasurerealty.com/rentals/rentalguide.htm).
That probably doesn't really lessen your disappointment any, but I hope it does bring some understanding about the nature of the beast, so to speak. We are very sorry that you all were without a pool during you stay, and we hope that you will reconsider choosing Treasure Realty in the future: 800-762-3961.

We had a wonderful time at Cape Lane 1. The house was perfect, in a great location, well equipped and the weather fabulous. Our son graduated from combat engineering school, Camp Lejeune on Wednesday( our reason for coming to Topsail). We played tennis, biked and ran on the beach. Every evening we sat in the hot tub and watched the hockey playoffs. Thank you so much for a great experience. We would love to come back and visit anytime!
