We really enjoyed the layout of this house, especially the openness, window views and kitchen. We love being right on the ocean, and now especially with grand kids, having a pool is great. The fact that the pool was heated was awesome, however it was a little too warm by the end of the week (92) and algae was beginning to grow along the sides. Thankfully the pool company came upon request to clean it and adjust it. The only other complaint was the lack of kitchen utensils! Our family loves to cook, but we had to scrounge around for pots and pans, serving dishes and decent knives. So, having more of that would be great. Having the extra ice maker was nice, but located at an inconvenient spot in the basement. It would have been nicer in the kitchen. And extra (regular sized) refrigerator would also be nice, because we ran out of fridge and freezer space. Otherwise, great house and excellent location! Thanks!

550 New River Inlet was a last minute decision. Our previous home went into foreclosure 2 days before the next big payment that was due, only 4 months before the stay in Topsail. This was upsetting because we were using that home for our wedding venue! I came upon 550 NRI and had no time to dart out to NC from Cleveland, oh to the home. My future husband and I were faced with a risky decision, but we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. Hands down, best decision we made!
Check in was easy and the desk staff were very helpful and patient. We were blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of this home. We had our wedding here and I would not change one single thing. The pool and pool area were fit for a king and spotless, and the beach...breath taking; very clean and preserved. The home came completely equipped with baking pans, kitchen knives, toasters, coffee maker, blender, you name it. We mostly stayed in and cooked because we didn't want to leave the beach. This home provided us with a classy Oceanside wedding. The boardwalk from the pool area down to the beach was perfect for the "aisle" for the bridal party to walk down and for the grand entrances; we had plenty of room to hide down the stairs to the first floor as we were called up by the DJ. There was plenty of room for a DJ on the topmost floor. We had a chef and his staff use our kitchen to cook for all of the guests. Our photographer was very impressed with the classy beauty of this home.
My only complaints are that the hot tub needed to be cleaned out as soon as we arrived...we turned it on and there was a thick brown film bubbling up and overflowing the hot tub on the deck, but that was cleaned out by the maintenance staff and the pool lights did not work at first. There was also an issue with the ac on the bottom 2 floors, but the maintenance staff also repaired that by day 2.

This home offers all the amenities that our family requires in a vacation home. The private heated pool, hot tub, two large big screens with surround sound and the outdoor speakers. It is tradition for our entire family of 15 to travel together once a year, and Treasurer Realty and this home has accommodated us since 2009. We will be returning again this year and several years to come.

Love this house but always have pool issues. The last time we stayed had no working ceiling fan in one of the top floor rooms which caused the occupants to be very uncomfortable. Reported early in the week.

This home was beautiful, but there were some things what did not work, like the sink disposal, refrigerator went down and the pool likes did not work we could not in the pool at night.

We stayed at this property two years ago and plan to rerent next year. We had 3 families each with two to three kids. The setup was perfect and everyone got their own bed and an ocean view. The kitchen was amazing and we spent most dinners eating in the dining room and had kids food on the deck. The pool area was gated adn made us feel very safe adn the beach was right in front for easy trips to the refrifgerator adn to rooms for nap time. It did have an elevator that didn't work the alst few days but other than unpacking and packing the car it wasn;t that necessary!

We stayed for a week in this house in September 2010. We had 10 adults and 2 small children and had plenty of room. What a gorgeous home and right on the beach. The house was clean and well cared for. We did have a problem with the pool but the rental company dispatched a repairman immediately and the problem was fixed. We highly recommend renting this beautiful home for a relaxing vacation on the beach with family. The only caveat is that TopSail isnt much of a town, the shopping is awful and there are maybe 2 restaurants. So if you're looking for lots of shopping and touristy stuff, you wont find it in this sleepy town. We stayed during the first week of the "off season" too and saved a ton of money but still had great weather.

Also, I did want to add a caveat to your caveat, since you were here in the off season, and because it's been a couple years. :-)
With the addition of Millie's Bar and Grille last year at the St. Regis, there are now actually 3 restaurants on the north end of the island (N. Topsail); however, Topsail Island has several restaurants and local shops down in Surf City, which is only about a 15 minute drive south. In addition, Sneads Ferry (just on the north side of the high rise bridge and much closer to the north end) has some of the best local surf and turf around.
Although it has a quaint small town atmosphere, the area is really growing, and there are several newer restaurants here, in addition to Rick's, 'Em R Wings, Minervini's NY Bagels, Hwy 55, Denoia's, Madison's, and the historic Riverview Cafe, which are all quite popular with both tourists and locals.
If there are any golfers in your party, they can enjoy a few rounds at North Shore Country Club on the mainland side of the bridge, while others might like to pamper themselves at the Day 7 Salon and Spa just a mile or two away.

The service for this House was great!! We loved this house, it was clean & neat, just beautiful!! The location was wonderful, it's right across from the volley ball court and the basketball courts.
