Our cottage on the Cape!
Left on 04/14/2013 for a stay in May 2012
We love Cape Cod Beach Cottages! It has become a family tradition to stay here on Memorial Day weekend. We really consider it "our" cottage!!! Ccbc are clean & nicely organized with charming Cape-oriented decor. We travel here with our 2 children, so the bedroom layout works well. The bathroom is spacious -- which is helpful for sharing with 4 people. The kitchen is just the right size for a weekend stay with coffee & breakfast, but might be a bit cramped for cooking a large meal. The Wifi is a definite plus & the cottage has an overall more modern feel than others we have booked in the past. The owners are just great & sooo customer service oriented! They think of everything! The Keurig added to the kitchen was a nice touch in 2012. Of course the location is the main draw with the most breathtaking sunsets you can imagine viewed over the Provincetown lights!

LambertvilleJust wonderful! Kids loved it. We loved it. Grandmother loved it
Left on 02/18/2013 for a stay in June 2012
We stayed in one of the duplex cottages and couldn't believe our luck the whole two weeks we were there --- and feel the same way now, months later. That's why we are going back on 2013 and for as many years as we can. We were worried before arriving that it might be too small for our family --- 2 kids under 6, 2 parents and a grandmother --- but it was just fine space wise. Very comfortable and easy. We loved walking in the front door and seeing nothing but water out the back sliding glass doors. Even more, we loved all the different ways to be at the house - coffee on the porch while the kids played safely on the private sand front yard, or, more coffee on the porch while the kids ventured down the short stairs to the beach or to play at the water's edge. Or the whole family setting up camp down by the water, with the house only a seconds run away if anyone needed a break. Or helping the kids catch crabs in the early morning or afternoon. Or swimming. Or cooking hotdogs over a fire built on the sand, again, seconds away from our back door. With the pretty well-stocked store a block away, we could have never gotten in the car for two weeks and been perfectly happy. But, with Provincetown such a short drive away (one of the main reasons we came) and the audubon center or Brewster's Museum of Natural History making for a great half-day adventure, or national seashores five minutes away, we ended up enjoying a mix of spending whole days at the cottage and exploring. Places we liked -- all very close by: Mac's Shack in Wellfleet outside for dinner, Mac's Market in Truro for fresh seafood to cook at home and the small gourmet food market near it, pj's on Route 6 in Wellfleet for best (and cheapest) lobster rolls, grilled cheese and mac & cheese for kids, Moby Dick's for fun dinner, maybe not the best food ever but still a good tradition, Provincetown art Museum (great for kids too - small), the tidal flats down the road, Province Lands Visitor Center (national seashore). If you feel the need to leave the bayside beach that is your front yard, and you may not, there's more than enough to do in the area. We had everything we needed inside and the cottage was exceptionally clean. Oh, and Joanne is great. You'll love her.

Had a lovely weekend at the Cape. It was only in the upper 60's but we found it just lovely to sit right outside the door on the sand and soak in some sun. I even got a sunburn! The best part was being right on the beach - no walking with coolers and chairs. The rental was clean and well appointed with everything needed (nice towels, kitchen had everything, comfy bed and sheets). Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to review the property, Christine. It really helps potential renters to see what is good (and bad!) with the cottage. Hope you have a great winter and come back to the Cape again. ~Joanne

We really enjoyed our stay in cottage #5. This was our first family vacation and we had our two year old daughter with us. The location of the cottage, for us, was great. We liked Provincetown the best of all of the Cape Cod towns that we visited, and you have the option of mass transit if you don't want to drive into P-town from the cottage. The cottage was stocked with various things that you might need at the beach, such as sand chairs, lounge chairs, sand toys and water noodles, and even small child-size outdoor chairs. It had a Keurig coffee maker, and all of the kitchen bare necessities that you might need. The beds are pretty comfortable, and it had a good shower (this is always important!!). The owner, Joanne, is very nice, responsive, and honest. The other tenants of the adjacent cottages were respectful (in fact, this is a clause in the contract, which we appreciated very much).

Good morning, Barbara, Thank you for the detailed review, much appreciated. Thank you also for noting the items I put in Our family stays at the cottage so I put items in we like to use as well. As far as the shower, we don't have very good pressure so had to be creative with a shower head. Have a great winter. ~Joanne

The cottage was charming, spotless & very well-equipped. Everything was even better than shown on the internet. Hearing the sounds of the surf when you wake up in the morning is priceless. Provincetown is right down the street & I fully intended to spend a little time strolling around the quaint village, but I couldn't drag myself away from the cottage.I spent all my time taking walks on the beach & lounging on the covered porch just watching the tides come & go. I loved it & can't wait to go back.

I have been to stay in three cottages, I stayed in Bayview with my Husband for a romantic get-away, I stayed in Tough End with a friend for a relaxing weekend, and have had friend's rent Three Son's while we rented the other two for a blast with a bunch of friend's!!
The cottages are very clean, well stocked, and cute, very comfortable. The back porches face the water which is just feet away, so your morning cup of coffee is beautiful, and peaceful, and your evening cocktail is breathtaking as you watch the sunset casting ever changing colors over the sky and ocean. The cottages are very close to Wellfleet center (very quaint, fun town) and just a short distance to P-Town which is really fun to explore. Great shop's and great food!!
I would recommend these cottages to anyone, and everyone! If you go you will surely be pleased with your stay.

This was our first time staying in Truro. We loved the cottage and the location. The rooms are small but perfect if you are looking for a great location and intend to spend most of your time outdoors (and there is so much to do in the area!). But when you are inside, everything is clean, cozy and functional.
We definitely intend to return. The price is a bit steep but you definitely get what you pay for.Response from Cape Cod Beach Cottages - 06/15/2012

This was our first trip to Cape Cod and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!! The cottage was very clean and well taken care of and the owner was wonderful to work with. Everything we needed from dishsoap and pots and pans to board games and fresh towels was available! Waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning was so peaceful and relaxing. Our three year old daughter spent as much time as possible playing on the beach and collecting shells. We ventured into Provincetown daily - browsing the local shops ans sampling the delicious cuisine! This was our first family vacation and we truly couldn't haven't asked for a better experience. The memories that we made there will last a lifetime!

I was looking for a clean, efficient cottage right on the water/beach where I could beachcomb with my 7 year old - and voila - I found it! Not only that, from the get go I knew that the owner actually cared that I was happy. There is so much to do in the area and the cottage is central to all of it. When we weren't bouncing from beach to whale watching to fishing we happily sat on the deck of the cottage and watched the sunset. Would absolutely return!

Our first impression upon entering the cottage was "This feels just like home”. The cottage was very clean and welcoming. The layout was not only efficient but it allowed for a wonderful on shore breeze to blow through the entire cottage. There's an ample sandy area below the deck that allows you to experience the beach without being on the beach. When you want to venture on the beach the access was via a stairway and there was plenty of private beach to enjoy. Provincetown was a very short drive from the cottage or you can take a bus that stops nearby. The cottage had all the amenities that you would need and more. We will definitely be coming back

From the moment I arrived at this cottage, until the moment I had to leave, I felt that I had found the perfect Cape Cod getaway! The cottage is adorable, comfortable, clean, has everything you'll need, and quickly felt like a home away from home for me. The view is something embedded in my head and one I will conjure up throughout the year. Looking out from the cottage to Provincetown Monument and Race Point Light and ah... the sunsets! Can't find a better seat for the best show around - a glass of wine, the waves lapping the shore and a Cape Cod sunset. I would highly recommend this setting to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The cottage is right on the beach near Ptown. It is very relaxing listening to tides and smelling the sea. The owner, Joanne, is professional and prompt. The check-in was easy. The location of the cottage is also close to some national sea shore ocean side beaches. Kids had great time riding those big waves. The cottage itself is neat and efficient. Absolutely loved Cape Cod Beach Cottages! The location can't be beat. We were bay front with an amazing view of the bay and the Provincetown lights. The sunsets were amazing. I loved the back porch for reading. My husband's favorite was the old pier for fishing while the kids absolutely adored the beach. The cottage has all the amenities for a modern family (Wifi, TV, coffee maker) with all the charm of a traditional CC beach cottage. The layout (2 doubles, 2 twins) was perfect for our family of four. The beds were more comfortable than other cottages we've rented -- for a great night sleep! The N. Truro location -- so close to P-town -- can't be beat for restaurants and shopping. We will definitely plan another visit!

We managed to get a free weekend off and found this property online. The owner was incredibly accomodating and accessible. She provided outstanding service before the weekend to ensure we had proper directions and an understanding of what was available at the property. She even called after we had left to make sure we had a good stay and that there weren't any problems leaving.
The location itself it spectacular and is right on the beach. The cottage is in outstanding condition and better than most nice hotels you would stay at. It is clean, well-kept and the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook in. There is a nice tv with cable and wireless internet included. The deck area is two teared as the property sits up on a hill of sorts with stairs to the beach. This is a stand-alone property but with ample deck space and furniture to sit out and enjoy the view. The location is very convenient and there's a parking space right infront of the cottage on the main road. Surprisingly it was very quiet and the only consistently present sound were the waves lapping on the beach. It is around a 5 minute drive to Provincetown so it's a perfect distance away to allow for nights out. You're close enough to the action to have fun, but far enough away to feel like you're on a getaway.
We certainly plan on coming back in the near future and recommend this to anyone. It's a great find! -

Wonderful tiny cottage on Cape Cod Bay with a beautiful view of Provincetown, peaceful getaway with all your needs close by. The cottages are clean and well kept/stocked. This was our 2nd wonderful vacation at the cottages. Being so close to the water you are always aware of it's sound, smell and breezes. It is suprisingly private, other vacationers are friendly, but respectful of your space. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Being so close to Provincetown, you can choose from many activities whale watching, dining choices are extremely varied, and there's biking, trails to walk and other beaches to explore (tidal pools and otters, and campfire permits are available on some beaches). My husband and I chose to be beach bums and just swim, float and soak up the bay. Watching the sun go down was another favorite. Our adult children chose many of these other activities, so everyone was happy. The covered back porch was key, as being allergic to the sun and having artheritis and Cardiomyopathy I was still able to enjoy the view and experience the bay. We loved it!!!!!!!

Joanne (owner) is wonderful to work with, very sweet and extremely dedicated to ensuring that her tenants enjoy their time in the cottage. There is a full kitchen/bathroom, Wi-fi & cable. The cottage is immaculate, well cared for and completely stocked with all of the comforts of home. The location is breathtaking and the private beach area is not overpopulated. Our family loved the cottages...they were clean (and we are picky), tidy, well kept, did not smell musty, and were nicely decorated and recently updated. The owner was very pleasant and prompt in her communication with us. The cottage is on a beautiful bay beach with lovely views, and a short bike ride to the amazing National Seashore with dunes and Atlantic beaches. It is really close to P-town for restaruatns and shopping. It was very quiet at night. The main bedroom had only a double bed, and we are used to a king and NEVER sleep well in doubles, but we slept really well! It was the most comfortable double bed we've ever slept in! It was so nice to come home from vacation well rested. There is a little general store you can walk to for items and they even get daily deliveries of baked goods from the Portuguese bakery in P-town. Yum! It is the only cottage we've ever rented that even supplied travel size shampoo along with bars of soap, lip balm, travel size aloe vera gel for sunburn and a reusable cloth bag! A very welcoming touch! The cottages are very close together however.

The most relaxing vacation I have ever had. The cottage is clean, comfortable and
has everything you could ever need. The attendant for the property is right there if
you need anything. Right on the beach with very unique and private beach at the sea
wall.
So close to Provincetown, which has great shopping, restaurants and even a full
grocery strore.
Several visits to the spectacular National Seashore. Meandering through the art
galleries of Wellfleet. Endless hours relxing on the beach, reading, walking, kite flying
and napping. We absolutely loved it. -

Joanne was absolutely wonderful. She was very prompt, helpful and thoughtful. The cottage was immaculate, looks are deceiving we found it quite spacious. Bring food and clothes you'll be all set. Location was perfect, step out the sliding door walk down a few stairs and you're on the beach. There were even things to entertain yourself on a rainy day stuck inside, TV, games, cards and books. Sunset over P-Town and the sound of the waves ended each day perfectly. We can't wait to go back!!!!

I can honestly say that coming "home" to our vacation rental has never been better. Our family has been coming to the same place for over 40 years now and these last 2 years have been the best. The cottages are directly on the beach, the accommodations are awesome, including updated furniture/flooring/appliances, etc. and the beds are more comfortable than my own. There's nothing like waking up to the ocean breeze in your bedroom window. The porches are awesome and the view is breath-taking. The owners and management are so very accommodating, they go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful experience. It's the perfect place to totally unwind. Enjoy!

Middletown, ConnecticutThe Best Vacation Spot on Shore Road
Left on 07/19/2009 for a stay in July 2008
We have vacationed at a few cottages on Shore Road in No. Truro over the past 20 years. My husband, two daughters, my 3 yr. old grandson, and I, stayed at the Cape Cod Beach Cottages last year for the 1st time. This is without a doubt the best place we have stayed at. It was well kept up, clean, and inviting, and the closeness of the beach was a definite plus with my then 2 year old grandson.
Also the few staples that were left for us, soap, paper towels, etc. along with the Cape Cod Cottage tote was very helpful since we had not gone shopping yet. The guest package with soap, lotion, shampoo, etc. was a nice welcoming touch.
I would definitely recommend one of these cottages to friends and co-workers. -

We've stayed here before and have always had a great experience. The location is right on the beach, literally. This beach is private but even the public area is very unpopulated. You can walk in either direction for hours. Highly recommend. Cottage, neat, well maintained and has everything you could want for a rental. We slept great. We'll be back.

I would like to encourage anyone who is interested in renting a VERY clean, quaint cottage/condo to consider this rental. It is well worth the money that you spend. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a kitchen/living area with all of the amenities that you need. It is right on the beach in Truro (really about 10 feet to the stairs to get onto the beach). It has a great deck from which we watched the 4th of July fireworks and several beautiful sunsets. Our 4 year old son absolutely loved it as he could play all day on the beach. It is a safe place to play as the waves are usually calmer and the water is not deep. The family who owns this property is absolutely wonderful!! They have big hearts and are extremely kind. We had a very bad experience with another rental and they were concerned that we would be comfortable in their home away from home! Give them a call and take some much needed vacation time at this Truro retreat!

Our family of four stayed at Cape Cod Beach Cottages in June - what a wonderful surprise! Everything was awesome - the extremely clean bedrooms, kitchen, and living area were VERY comfortable and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you SO much! The kids played on the beach for hours while I relaxed in the comfy beach chairs reading. We will book our 2010 vacation as soon as I have the dates!

MassachusettsA true Cape Cod experience - exceeded all expectations !
Left on 07/08/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The cabin was very clean, equipped with all the kitchen necessities. The beach is right outside the back porch with the best views of Cape Cod Bay and Provincetown. It's a short distance from P'Town...right on the bus route...near enough, but away from all the hustle and bustle. There are many good restaurents in the area, but we enjoyed staying at the cottage and relaxing and eating on the porch or at the beach! The worst part of the vacation ---was leaving this great spot! Can't wait to go back again!

MissouriWhat a Beautiful Spot !
Left on 07/08/2009 for a stay in May 2009
My stay at Cape Cod Beach Cottages was certainly one to remember. The cottage was beautifully furnished and extremely clean. All necessities were included. Although it was cold in May, I enjoyed the beach and all the wonderful scenery, including fantastic sunsets. The cottages are very convenient to many Cape Cod locations, such as the National Seashore and whale watching from the boat trips out of Provincetown, just to name a few. I can't wait to make a return trip.
