This stone built detached cottage is located in the village of Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors National Park and can sleep five people in three bedrooms. Brookwood Cottage is a detached stone built cottage in the village of Thornton-le-Dale, close to Pickering in the North York Moors National Park. This cottage sleeps five people and has three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single bedroom as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also has a large kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. To the outside of this cottage there is a car port for one car, along with off road parking for one car and a garden with furniture.... Located within an area renowned for stunning countryside, Brookwood Cottage is an ideal family cottage.

Amenities: Oil central heating with electric fire in sitting room. Cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV, video, CD player. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Car port for one car, off road parking for one car. Sunny sitting area (not enclosed) to the rear with garden furniture. Sorry, no pets. Shop, tearoom and pub 2 mins walk.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: Thornton-le-Dale is a beautiful village, two miles to the east of Pickering in the North York Moors National Park and is a charming jumble of streams, paths and houses scattered around a green with its market cross and old stocks. Thornton-le-Dale has a variety of shops, public houses and tea-rooms and nearby Pickering is just two miles away with a more comprehensive range of amenities and its famous North York Moors Steam Railway. To the north of the village is the Forestry Commission’s Dalby Forest and this has several excellent nature trails to be enjoyed by all abilities and ages. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Everything was fantastic except that we found it impossible to use the third bedroom because of the noise of the water tank. This was a very serious drawback as we had booked 3 bedrooms because we needs all 3. Also, a pint of milk etc as a welcome would have been nice after a long journey to arrive.

  A spacious well appointed proprty maintained to a high standard. The cottage was well appointed with all the appliances that could be needed, together with lots of matched ornaments that gave the place a homely feel. It is well sited in the centre of an attractive village close to shops, restaurant and pub. It is also near Pickering, the start of the excellent North York Moors railway (well worth a visit)and excellently located to visit the moors as well as the coast. York too is within reasonable travelling distance. The owners were helpful and welcoming. We will definately be going back!
