Sow's Ear is a delightfully cozy cottage with all the comforts of home and a top-notch location near clubs, trails, and the village. The living area is bright and inviting with comfortable seating and views of the garden. The open dining area has seating for 4, and the modern kitchen has granite countertops and a French door leading to the beautifully landscaped yard. There is a den and laundry room on this level. Plus,a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a single bed and desk area, a large master bedroom with TV, a large bath with skylight, and a charming bedroom with twin beds. Not a child-friendly rental.

We have rented a number of vacation homes over the years and I can say without a doubt that Sow's Ear is the most comfortable, homey rental we have stayed in. It is in a great location in Northeast Harbor which means great access to acadia National Park yet away from the crowded Bar Harbor area. The home has a great kitchen which if you like to cook, makes meal preparations a joy. It is light and airy, a plus for those dreary rainy days when you don't want to go out. We found the bed very comfortable with windows on two sides in the bedroom which makes for nice cross breezes on a warm evening. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their home and it is very well maintained. We hope to have many future stays in this cozy cottage.
