Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in July 2011
I have rented this delightful Victorian cottage for the past several years in July and august. The house is small but has plenty of room for 3-4 people. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking (and I always had plenty of company while there!) The cottage itself has wonderful little whimsical touches and shows the love that the owner has spent restoring it. There is a great wrap around porch with chairs begging you to sit awhile. I used to enjoy watching the sunrise over the water view or sharing a glass of tea or wine in the afternoon. Gardens of perennials blooming complete the picture of an idyllic seaview cottage.
The community of Bayside is welcoming & is handy to Belfast, Lincolnville Beach & Camden. There is a charming winery in Lincolnville and several good seafood restaurants nearby.
Mary has been a wonderful host and has become a good friend as well, very accomodating and attending to details to make a visit memorable. I highly recommend Day Lily cottage and hope to return soon.
