Left on 02/12/2010 for a stay in September 2009
The cottage was nice and located right on the bay. WE enjoyed the canoe the most and took a few trips around the point to the lighthouse picking petosky stones along the way. The front of the yard that is on the bay was way too shady for us. We would have prefered a more open area with more sunlight but it was ok for the short time we were there. The add mentioned there were bicycles but didnt indicate the size of the bikes. The bikes were not large enough for adults and would have been nice had they been. The well water was very strong but for some reason made for some very tastey coffee in the morning...not sure of the chemisty on that one. Cob-webs could have been cleaned out of the living area. I realize the ceiling is high but still could have been cleaned. The top on the island in the kitchen was not secured to the island cabinet so when you leaned on it it would slide or tip spilling whatever was on the counter top. Hopefully this has since been repaired. Overall the cottage was enjoyable. If you enjoy a secluded getaway right on the bay this is your place! It was nicely decorated for a relaxing time up north. We had a nice stay
