Great location, easy to get to. Beautiful view from livingroom, kitchen and loft. A bit crowded for 12 even though it was said to accommodate that many. We had difficulty trying to find bedding and blankets for the pull out couch. The extra comforter we did find on floor in closet was dirty. Could use some updated bedding and a good cleaning of the kitchen cabinets. The Internet works great as well as the TV. The fireplace was nice with plenty of wood. Would use Sierra Vacations again, the customer service was excellent, thank you.

We liked the layout of the home. We were disappointed in the soap bars(the size of 50 Cent pieces) and cheap toilet paper. We should have received some credit because there was very little snow and the only reason the house dictates such high rent is because it's ski season. The skiing was poor at best.

The overall stay was great, but the one minus was the barbecue pit. We had to dismantle it to clean it. Only about half the burners were funtioning properly. This is a major issue for our group because we barbecue daily.

One of the few Northstar homes we could find to accommodate our dog, this home suited us ok for three days around Christmas, although at a highly inflated price. Although there was little snow, our teens enjoyed showboarding at Northstar also at inflated prices, and we all liked the shuttle bus system that meant we didn't need to use our car.
The home is nicely furnished and provides lots of beds. It has a great free standing stove and lots of wood to burn. The view out onto the golf course and across Martis Valley is lovely and soothing.
Our two main complaints were the electronics and the kitchen. We could never get more than three TV channels (meaning no holiday football games) and we could not figure out how to play Dvds, although we tinkered with the cables for hours. Since it was Christmas, we did not call the rental company for help, and by the next day, we had given up. The kitchen appliances are dated, and there were no baking dishes for our Christmas morning cinnamon rolls.
An update of the kitchen and working electronics plus instructions would definitely make this home an excellent vacation stay.

Nothing negative to say except that there was not enough dishwashing soap and toilet paper. Perhaps future guests should remember to stock up on those supplies before staying. Otherwise, the location, space, and ease of the check in were all great.

I had a very pleasant stay over the weekend with a few of my friends. The location is very convenient and the house was very welcoming and cozy. The only thing I didn't like was having to take the trash out to a dumpster at the end of our stay. I also thought cleaning fee was a little too hefty. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay.

We stayed in this 3+ bedroom home over the Martin Luther King weekend. The rates were bumped way up for the holiday. The house is cozy and cute, and next to the golf course. The house definitely needs some work - kitchen faucet would not turn off ever, and the toilet on the main floor ran constantly. Also, there were no tp holders in any of the bathrooms. The free shuttle and excellent parking are major bonuses. It just seemed run down for the high price.

Sierra Vacations manages this property, and came through for us at the last
minute when a different rental had fallen through.
We were 4 adults and 5 VERY active kids, and this house had a ton of room for
us. Big mudroom/laundry room, which was great for getting out of our ski
clothes. Terrific location with a lot of open space for the kids to play in the
snow. And easy shuttle service to the Northstar Village.

We had stayed in the same home two years prior and loved it! it was well cared for and full of supplys and fun kitchen utensils to cook with.
Our sharp impression in 2008, is that no one had been there. We started by having to call the company about our mere entry into the property; the locks were reversed and improperly recorded delaying our entry.
the whole house was in ill repair; the deck (an important feature in this rental) was unsafe. We called SVR many times about the holes in the screens and were miserably hot as no one woudl repair them. Sreens are necessary to allow for air without mosquito entry.
After years of using SVR, we found them totally unresponsive. We felt totally alone in the care and usage of this rental.
