What Past Guests Are Saying
It was a comfortable home. Perfect for our family. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach, which was beautiful and secluded. The outdoor shower was convenient to rinse off the sand. The air conditioning option helped to cool us down. Property manager and owners were very helpful and pleasant to deal with in setting up our trip and during our stay in Nosara. It was home away from home!
Awesome, amazing, Perfect!!!
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. We arrived during the very dry hot season. The Property's manager and owner handled everything for us prior to arrival. All our questions were answered, all needs satisfied. Our taxi was ordered for us from the airport, the driver arrived on time in an airconditioned vehicle. We also asked to stop at a supermarket on the way, which the driver did. The property's manager met us on arrival and showed us around the house. Ac worked, Wi-Fi worked, TV worked, Fridge worked - everything was as comfortable as in your own home. The location was nice, just a five minute walk from the beach, and 5 minutes to several restaurants. The only thing to note is that depending on the season, some places are closed. Most of the restaurants around us were closed for the season. But its ok, we managed with the three that were opened within walking distance.
Green Fish is a gorgeous home in a good location of Nosara. We enjoyed every bit of our 5 day vacation. Agnus was terrific. The community has a fun blend of expats and Ticos. The beaches were amazing, especially between 8 and 11 and after 4 just because the sun is too brutal in the middle of the day, leaving time for road trips in the air conditioned car or enjoying a swimming pool at a nearby hotel. The experience was contradictory, being in such a gorgeous, quality house in such an undeveloped and non-corporate community. We are so glad we chose Nosara and Green Fish.
Wonderful vacation home
Great service and excellent property. Agnes was always available for any questions. Maid service was fantastic. Short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful and relaxing
"Green fish" is a well maintained and well equiped vacation home. Enough beach towels, convenient use of washer/ dryer, and a complete kitchen. We found ourselves dining in most of the time and enjoying smoothies made with the available blender and the fresh fruit from the local super market.
The house is only a 5 minutes walk away from the most prestine and quiet beach we have ever seen. We were practically alone, enjoying the water, sunset and long strolls along the water line. For swimming a beach located about 15 minutes walk from the house is recommended.
Outdoor activities are close by. The zip line experience is highly recommended. Very safe, great guides and spectacular views.
If at all our stay could have been better, the only thing that comes to mind would be the availability of beachtoys/ a ball, boogie boards for the children to use.
Other then that, a great place to enjoy a family vacation.
Tranquil, quiet, garden setting
My husband and I stayed at Green Fish from March 21st to March 26th. We were picked up at the local car rental agency by agnes, the property manager as we were returning our car and would not have had transportation to the house. Green Fish was spotless, charming , comfortable and provided a very relaxing few days. The house is not beachfront but is an easy 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, Playa Pelada. The beaches in the area were big, beautiful and rugged. We found tidal pools throughout the day to relax in. The beach at Playa Giones, a 25 minute walk was great for surfing and boogie boarding. At high tide the ocean in this area can be intimidating. Playa Giones is the nearest town to Green Fish. All in all, Green Fish provided us with a very relaxing, tranquilo experience. Of note, we highly recommend having a car during your stay at Green Fish due to the spreadout nature of Nosara area. Also, AC is crucial so when booking pay the extra money.

Relaxing and beautiful
Four sun-seeking Canadians in search of warmth and relaxation spent four wonderful weeks in Costa Rica in January/February of 2012, most of it at Green Fish in Nosara. The house was perfect for our needs. It was clean and welcoming and the once a week housekeeping was all that we needed. We walked the beaches every day, Guiones was a favorite destination. A beverage and relaxing swim at the Tucan Restaurant was well worth the walk; a little bit further and fresh bread and pastries were available at the bakery. We shopped in Nosara for groceries and cooked most meals at the house (perfect), however we enjoyed pizza at nearby Pepperoni's Pizza and other occasional meals out. The guys went deep sea fishing twice and brought us back the catch so fresh tuna was on the menu. Fresh lobster bought from local fisherman was a superb meal. Sunset watching on the beach each night became a ritual and was a friendly get together of locals and tourists. We had a wonderful time. The Nosara area is off the beaten bath, so this home and area is not for partiers but it was perfect for us and the kind of vacation we wanted. A car or quad is needed to get to the supermarket at Nosara, and the road is dusty but the store is well equipped with all essentials. As summer is short in Canada, we Canadians like to spend as much time out of doors as possible, so the only suggestion for the house would be some lawn chairs or the like for the deck. Agnes from Villa Mango (property manager) was efficient and helpful with our check-in and check-out and with any questions or problems (none to mention). We would definitely recommend this house to vacationers such as us -- those who want beach walks, ocean swims, lovely sunsets, beautiful surroundings and quiet times. Great vacation!

Great Place! Great Hosts/Management!
Great house and a great value...short walk to Playa Pelada which is an awesome private beach. Home had everything you need to vacation as if you lived there and was very clean. Short drive to a great grocery store for all your supplies. Can't say enough about the prop managers agnes and Joe...they are very cool, friendly people...on top of all your needs...We would highly recommend Greenfish to anyone coming to the Nosara area in the near future...Thanks Rob
GREAT Place... BEAUTIFUL Town
This house was PERFECT for our group of four adults, and could
have comfortably lodged two more.
The house is located in Playa Pelada, the more quiet of the two
beach areas of Nosara. Playa Pelada does not have a consistent surf
break, meaning that a 20 min walk south will be required if you
wish to surf (easy with a shortboard, a bit tougher with a
The house was immaculate! Plenty of towels, dishes, and
cookware... we were even pleasantly surprised to find that the place
had a COOLER (there are few things better than a couple of ice-cold
Imperials and a Costa Rican sunset).
We WILL be staying here again, without a doubt.
Buy your groceries in the town of Nosara itself, rather than in Playa
Pelada or Guiones- the prices are SIGNIFICANTLY lower.
Many locals speak English, but this is a great place to bone-up on
EAT AT PANCHOS... order the Guacamole... you can thank me later
La Luna is perhaps one of the most romantic and delicious
restaurants in town... great setting for a little one on one
