We had a great stay at Olas II (2nd time). The house is nicely laid out; air conditioning works very well; it's a quick (secure) walk to the beach and walking distance to restaurants, etc. This property works well in conjunction with Olas I if you have 2 or 3 families. Unlike Olas I, this property does not have a kitchen/dining table. However, there is a spacious kitchen bar counter with stools. The kitchen has all you need, including a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, etc. The showers were spacious.
Only real negative was the day bed in the first bedroom, which was basically unusable as it sinks to the floor in the middle-however, we did not need it for sleeping so it was not an issue. Also, the upstairs bedroom was beautiful, but the two downstairs could use a litte updating, but as used for kids, didn't really matter (the bathrooms were good though).
Agnes the property manager was wonderful and very helpful. The property is an easy walk to everything you need.
We loved our 2nd time staying here and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice villa style home while staying in a rustic small village in Costa Rica. -

The house is great! Needs some TLC, repair (fencing), and updating (new blender), but overall we love it! Hope to stay there again in the future. Location is one of the best in Playa Guiones. A few minutes walk to the beach. Pool for the kids. Very secure. Can walk to very good restaurants such as Casa Toucan which is across the street, Beach Dogs short walk and Harmony Hotel next door. Bagelmens, Cafe De Paris and Marlin Bill's right down the street. Nosara Surf Shop and Coconut Harry's Surf Shop are right there too for surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrellas rentals. We had a wonderful trip and wish we could have stayed a few more days.

We have visited Nosara approximately eight times, staying in a different house each time. Kim Shook at La Costa Rentals suggested this house since we like to be close to the beach as well as to good restaurants, a grocery store, shopping, etc. The house was spacious and well appointed. Kim stocked the kitchen with coffee, milk, sugar and breakfast items since we arrived late at night. The pool was the perfect size and even though we were in the middle of everything, we still had plenty of wildlife in our yard--monkeys, racoons, iguanas, etc--the house has a private path to the beach that led directly to a turtle's nest and we saw the hatch-lings make their way to the ocean thanks to Kim's husband, Dain showing us the path when we arrived!There was a gate at the driveway and a manned gate from the beach that made us feel completely secure--though we've never had any theft issues during past trips to Nosara. Instead of trying a new house each time we visit, we will book this house again and again!

We had a great time in Nosara and at Casa de Olas. This property was everything we could ask for and more. Spacious, comfortable, nice pool, close to beach and close to good restaurants. My boys loved that the surf break was just a short walk away and I enjoyed having a cook come in a coule of nights to make us wonderful meals. We will definately return.

Our family stayed at Casa de Olas recently for a week vacation. It is a very nice home but not worth the money. We come from a high end resort area and when you charge this kind of money for a home the dishwasher and stereo work! The home has numerous sound speakers in the living area and outside but the stereo doesn't function! Large kitchen but very little with regards to bowls, serving bowls and other things commonly used in a kitchen.
On the good side the beds were very good, the location was awesome and the pool was wonderful. The staff that cleaned was wonderful!
If you have a very large group this home could hold you and have the space to make a great party. If you have an average size group I am certain there are better homes.

We had an incredible time during our stay at Casa Olas One and Two. The villas were the perfect accomodations for our large group of family and friends. You could not ask for a better, safer location, relative the beach, restaurants and shopping. We wish we could have stayed longer, and hopefully will return next year. Many thanks to agnes for all the arrangements.
