In the heart of North Playa Guiones, Casa Escondida is perfectly situated for surfers. With the beach only a five minute walk away, and local amenities, like board rentals, shops, swimming pools, quad hire, and restaurants on your doorstep, you will not need a car.
Hidden behind a wall for added security, the house has a private garden, large patio for relaxing on, and a breezy open living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. Playa Guiones is one of Costa Rica's most dependable beach breaks. Naming Nosara as one of its top 50 places to visit in 2012 the New York Times said: “With sandy beaches, warm, jade-green waters and rolling waves that rarely get too big, the remote jungle community of Nosara on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica has become the ideal spot to learn to surf.” A number of surf schools have “popped up all over town” and made Nosara an excellent home for “surfing geeks.” Besides great waves, Guiones beach - which is part of the Refugio National De Fauna Silvestre Ostional national park - offers quality hiking, and turtle watching is a must for wildlife lovers. The Olive Ridley sea turtle nests from July to November, though turtles do turn up on the beach at other times. Nosara, home to the world-renowned Nosara Yoga Institute, also has a big yoga scene.
