AtlantaGreat Set Up & Great Owner
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We rented a unit from Rick in april. What a great spot! Immaculately constructed and maintained. Super chill atmosphere around the pool and just a few steps from the beach and restaurants. The best part about this place is the owner, Rick. He really went out of his way to make sure everyone has a great time. He even hooked us up with his local cook that prepared a bunch of authentic Costa Rican dishes. What a treat!
This is definitely a first class spot that we will visit again -
Very pleased....
AtlantaThe Ultimate Beach House...
Left on 04/26/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Fortunately for me, I was able to experience the Beach House for a full week and only have positive things to say. This was one of our favorite locations to visit and experience. We loved being a short walk to the beach, the beautiful sunsets, the culture and community, ...we felt safe and couldn't have had better customer service from Rick the owner. He was always available and one of the most kind people we've met. I highly recommend staying at The Beach House! You will get the true Costa Rican experience. :)

Atlanta, GAPura Vida experience
Left on 04/24/2013 for a stay in April 2013
I was fortunate to have the chance to stay at The Beach House with my family this april 2013 for our spring break. From the time we arrived at the gate we were treated like Vip's. Rick has assembled a wonderful team of respectful Costa Rican's who are gracious and humble. Our experience was amazing, the property is quaint, extremely private and secluded, safe and secure, and resembles a tropical oasis 200 yards from the ocean. Rick's hospitality and availability along with his local knowledge of restaurants, shopping, and must see locations to watch the sunset were invaluable. I look forward to visiting The Beach House again, thanks again Rick for such an enjoyable and relaxing week...Tony, Holly, Ryan and Jordan

Stuart, Fl.Book The Beach House First If You Can
Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Although a frequent visitor to Costa Rica, this was my first stay in Nosara. I was booked in and inspected several of the accommodations available in Nosara but was delighted when a vacancy became available at the Beach House. The main reason is simple...value. If you want a semblance of luxury (not readily available in Nosara), as well as security, quiet, convenience, location, and amenities at a reasonable price, then contact the Beach House first. One has the pool, pool bar, air conditioning, good wifi and the beach just a few minutes walk away...perfect. Yes many of the hotels have that, but the furnishings, construction and decor are a step up. If Nosara becomes your cup of tea, then the Beach House offers not only rental but ownership opportunities in an affordable way perhaps not considered by prospective vacation property owners. In short, one buys into only the time they plan to vacation. I don't believe anybody else offers this in Nosara. Be sure to check out the Kaya Sol 150 feet or so down the road for your dinners by Cocina de Jorge. You won't be disappointed.

Wilmington, North Carolinagreat family vacation

We went to Nosara with our two children age 8 and 10. The Beach House was terrific. It is as close to the beach as you can get in Nosara. The house was located close to everything so we didn't even need a car. They have landscaped the pool area with great care. The owner, Rick, was extremely helpful and even gave us rides for excursions/ store etc. The place had everything we needed. This was our best family vacation yet. The girls loved the surfing, Playa Ponies on the beach, and the zip-lining. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, I would highly recommend staying here!

EdmontonPura Vida Paradise!
Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This was my second visit to Nosara and Playa Guiones but my first time renting a house. All I can say is what an awesome experience! Guiones itself is a piece of paradise but to have The Beach House as our home base was fantastic. Rick greeted us upon our arrival and showed us into the comfortable, clean, stylish oasis that is the Beach House. After a long day of travel to arrive and have our accommodation be so outstanding was a relief! The pool and bar area was a fun and relaxing place to spend lazy afternoons. The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our two week stay. We were a bit concerned about rumblings we heard about petty theft in the area but Rick put our minds at ease. The house is outfitted with an alarm and the over-night security guard helped us sleep soundly. Of course, as with any travel, we were careful and kept the blinds drawn and valuables secured and out of sight. As a single woman who often travels alone I can say Guiones is one of the safest places I've been. I have already recommended the Beach House to my friends and family and will be going back as soon as possible!

Mill Valley, CaliforniaGreat spot for the family
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed at the beach house for 10 days and our main objective was to surf. The location is as good as it gets in Guiones, a short walk (or bike ride - we rented bikes for the entire stay) to everything but on a reasonably quiet street, and you can be in the surf in five minutes. The house is clean and comfortable, with a great hammock, wifi, a blender for juices and everything you need to feel comfortable and self-sufficient. The owner, Rick Wilkins, could not have been kinder and even offered us a ride on the few ocassions when a car was necessary ( eg, to get to zip lining and a restaurant just out of town). The only knock on the town - not the house - is that petty theft may be on the rise and so most houses have a mini-compound feel, with padlocked gates and barbed wire fences. It doesn't detract from the fun and we had no problems, but it's something to be aware of. Rick provided a security guard for added safety.

We had a wonderful time at The Beach House. The villa is very clean, modern and well equipped with everything you need for a holiday.
Although located in the center of everything, we found ourselves in a very quiet oasis. The pool and rancho area was a tropical paradise, surrounded by wildlife, fruit trees, and blooming flowers. There are many varieties of birds and howler monkeys greeted us each morning.
Across the street you have a great restaurant and bar called The Gilded Iguana. It has great food, live music and very friendly staff.
The walk to the beach takes only about 3 min. It is a nice beach for surfing, sunning, walking/running.
Other things we had fun doing was the canopy tour through the rainforest and horseback riding.
At certain times of the year you can experience the turtles laying eggs and later on the hatching, a great thing to watch.
Overall the stay in The Beach House is highly recommended and we will definitely return one day.

SwedenThe perfect location
Left on 05/19/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We have had a wonderful time at the Beach House, it's location is awesome, 150 yards from the greatest surf beach and short strolling distance to restaurants, funky bars, grocery shops and quad rentals, everything is within minutes. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the evenings after a dip in the pool and a cocktail at the communal bar. It's quiet and tranquil yet with fun places close by if you feel the need. The apartment is comfortably equipped and newly furnished with it's own washer/dryer, A/C, and wifi internet. If you are here to surf, you don't even need a car, a great place, we will be back.

San Jose, Costa RicaColorful holiday rest and fun in a tropical environment
Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
The Beach House is a colorful and beautiful place located in the center of a
tropical paradise, and is ready to provide you with everything you need for
unforgettable holidays. Once there you do not need a car for anything.
Practically at your front door is a spectacular white sand beach and blue
waters, surrounded by mountains. This is an excellent place for surfing,
walking on the beach, or just having fun with your kids. It is also located
in the town of Guiones where there are many services available; you can find
restaurants like the Gilded Iguana across the street, or Kaya Sol only 100
meters away (one of my favorites in the area). Also 75 meters form the
property is a store where you can rent bicycles and videos, and there is a
surf shop 50 meters away where they give surf lessons and rent boards. Next
to this store is a supermarket, which accepts credit cards. You can get
massages or yoga, or adventures in the mountains or the sea. There is so
much to do in this quaint little town, and just minutes away from where you
are staying. I can say definitely the place to hang out and enjoy everything
Nosara has to offer.
