This small and rural cottage is called "La Dependance" as it is located near our house. "La Dependance" is just 3 km outside of the beautiful town of Noto, the Baroque town enlisted in the Unesco World Heritage List.
"La Dependance" was built in the beginning of the '80s and has been fully renovated in 2007, giving it a country yet stylish and modern feeling. I absolutely loved my stay at La Dependance. I stayed there in May for 4 nights and wished it could have been days longer. From start to finish my experience with this place was excellent. Sarah and Corrado are wonderful hosts and can give you many advice about the Noto region.
The cottage is very comfortable, clean and decorated with sensitivity, so it is unavoidable that you get a good stay. The view to Noto is perfect (especially in the evening) and the many other options to explore i the area are great options.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 weeks in June 2010. It's perfect as a base for exploring the Noto region. It's small but everything's there: kitchen, bathroom, not to mention your own little private garden with hammock+barbecue.
Sarah and Corrado are the perfect hosts, discreet, welcoming, friendly and always ready to give you advice on where to go, where to eat and what to visit.
The town of Noto, one of the most beautiful in the region, is only a few minutes away by car, the seaside about a 15 min. drive. There's a roadside café (La Zizzola) in walking distance (about 3 minutes) for that morning shot of cappucino.
Highly recommended if you want to explore the area or just relax in the garden (we did a bit of both!). -

My wife and I spent 4 days at La Dependance near Noto and had the most fantastic time we could have hoped for. To start with, our flight was delayed and we landed in Catania around 1230am. The owners waited for us, gave us the keys and showed us around at 2am! The place is perfect, clean, comfortable and has been recently refurbished. They have a great garden with an amazing view of the town of Noto, we were lucky enough to enjoy a couple of sunsets - a magical place. As the owners live in the property, they were always ready to help with anything we needed, directions, recommendations, etc. Finally, as they also grow their own olive trees and produce their oil, we had the chance to buy some and bring it back home. All in all an amazing experience, thoroughly recommend it for anybody willing to feel at home in a calm and magical place, close to many attractions.

The home was small but we absolutely loved it. It was fully equipped and nicely decorated. In Sicily homes do not have heating in winter but they put a stove for us. However, there was an air conditioner for summer, hope to use it next time. The owners live on the premises so in case of any problem you can always rely on them, they're really very kind. The place is quiet and peaceful and relaxing. The garden is large, with fences and perfect for pets (and kids, of course). It is only a few minutes away from Noto and its wonderful baroque buildings and also the seaside is very near (unfortunately we could not enjoy it due to season). Next time we will come in a better season and bring our two dogs with us.
