Description from the owner

Antica Corte Milanese is near Milan Fair. It is easily attainable by car in just 5 minutes (4 kilometres) or with public transport; and only 3 stops down the Fieramilanocity with S line. In fact it is located just a stones throw away from the S line station (FNM), which connects you to the center of Milan in 15 minutes and to Malpensa Airport in 40 minutes. The Rho- Monza speedway is just a few hundred meters away. This highway is connected to all destinations and is very convenient as it by passes the busy traffic in Milan.

Agreements with restaurants in a walking distance and with a taxi driver.

Charming, convenient property, full of character

My wife and I have just returned from visiting our daughter who is currently living and working in Milan. We stayed at this property, a converted 19th century villa in the pleasant town of Novate Milanese, a few minutes' walk to a railway station from where you can reach the centre of milan in about 15 minutes. All the apartments and studios face onto the cobbled courtyard, which is delightful. Our apartment was spacious with lots of storage space. It was great to return there after being out in the cold all day to find it was warm and welcoming. There was no noise whatsoever from traffic etc. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped with toaster, microwave, cooker and electric kettle. The wooden -beamed ceilings and old furniture added to the general ambience. We want to return in april but unfortunately there are no vacancies for the week we want to stay. Highly recommended

      Beatrice,

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your complex this Fall. We had a great holiday and your B/B was a significant part of our positive experience. From arriving at the airport to departing the following weekend you did a wonderful job of trying to make our stay enjoyable.

The apartment was well furnished and clean. The 3 bedroom apt was more than enough space for, my wife, daughter, in-laws and myself. The pictures available on the Internet were pretty representative of our accommodations. For our apartment, there was one large bathroom and a smaller bathroom with a sink and small tub. The second bathroom advertised a tub and shower, but this fixture was too small to be functional for an adult. The second level room was perfect for our 6 y old. There were 2 beds on the second level so this apt would be perfect for families traveling with small children, allowing the adults to congregate on the main floor after the kids go to bed upstairs. Though the accommodations were not what you would find in a 5 star hotel, they were more than adequate, clean, quiet, and what one would expect from a family run Bed and Breakfast in a small European town. Our hosts were engaging, responsive to our needs and made us feel welcome. If we travel to Milan in the future, we would likely return to this establishment.

Travel: The apt complex is truly within a 5 minute, safe walk to the local train station. We had no concerns walking to and from the station even later in the evening. The local train deposited us in Milan with easy access to the city center (walking distance) or to the City metro system.

Town: Great town! Friendly and welcoming. We visited the local gelato café so frequently that we were sent off with hugs and a bag of treats for our trip home! Every local restaurant made us feel at home and were patient with our limited Italian communication skills.

Our apt had no internet access, but this appeared to be a work in progress. The wireless system did not appear to have the necessary signal strength in our apt, but access was available in a common breakfast area. This is the one area I would suggest for improvement, since in room Internet access would be extremely helpful

      Cozy, friendly, affordable and practical

Left on 08/16/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We stayed for 2 weeks with young kids ages 4 and 1. Beatrice and Marco made us feel at home. The place is stratigically located near Milan. We decided not to rent a car and were happy we didn't. You could get anywhere by public transport, always on time, clean and confortable trains. Ideal to know after long walks that you'd find your room cleaned, a quiet get away from home and affordable too. Nearby there are restaurants, bakery, ice cream shops (important to have in a humid weather), pizza place (excellent, the best we've had!), supermarket and a Mall . We were definetely satisfied with our choice!
