We rented this condo for 4 weeks in Jan/Feb 2012. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. You can walk either direction on perfect beach...take your pick.. Bucerias(Mexican village) or Paradise Village (more of a western development).
We were able to walk to great eateries..but you would want bikes or a car if a 40 min walk is not want you want. Taxis have set rates (7.00) from Bucerias for example.So we walked to dinner and taxied back.You can walk, bike, or take the bus to a big box food store...or pick up local fare in Bucerias.
We rode horses to La Cruz...came home along the beach...great time.
The market in La Cruz on Sundays is the best we have been to in 35 years visiting Mexico.
We did rent a car and toured inland and north up along time the coast line.
There was some construction on the new Delcanto building on site..but we were gone during the day exploring and doing beach.
The security is second to none..if that is a consideration for you.
The management was attentive,professional, and always available.
The condo is designed really well...the second bedroom and bath is separated well and it has balcony access.The view is super.
The other residents were friendly and helpful.
We worked out daily in the exercise room...they have pretty much everything in terms of equipment.
We would definitely stay here again! -

We stayed in this beautiful Nuevo Vallarta condo,, DelCanto, for a week and wish we had stayed for a month! You don't have to bring anything except your toothbrush and bathing suit. The condo is beautifully appointed and we did not wish for a single thing.
If you love beach walks, like I do, you can walk for half an hour to the edge of Bucerias and another half hour to the center of town (plaza major), with restaurants and markets at hand. We loved the dining experience in small town Bucerias; especially notable were Mark's Grill and the beachside restaurant Mezzogiorno. We also enjoyed walking up the dry river bed in Bucerias to experience the Sunday market. Don't miss the wandering music band and the colorful fresh produce on display. You could also walk an hour in the opposite direction to Bucerias from the condo before stopping at Paradise Village.
The condo staff were wonderful and were able to provide the little touches that make a holiday truly remarkable. I think my favorite thing was sitting poolside under an umbrella next to the infinity pool and sipping a cold margarita...or maybe it was sitting on the balcony watching the sunset and sipping a cold margarita!
The condo facility itself is very secure and easily accessible to a nearby large supermarket (Mega) to stock up on food for your stay.
It was also very easy to communicate with the condo owner who is truly interested in making your stay the best experience possible...and it was!! It's even better than the photos! Enjoy.

We decided to visit Puerto Vallarta this time to know something different (previous times we visited places like Maui and Nassau). Our experience here was amazing, this condo is huge, carefully decorated and all the amenities you might need, including WiFi, laundry, covered parking, etc. If you are concern about safety this is the right place, not only Flamingos area has controlled access, but also Del Canto has card key controlled access in several areas. Personnel is really friendly and helpful, much better service in comparison to a hotel. Food and drinks in pool area are excellent; don't forget to ask Burritos de Camaron or strawberry daiquiri. Condo has full ocean view, and furniture at the balcony will allow you to enjoy the sunset. We are definitively considering coming back next vacations.

Absolutely breathtaking from the moment we arrived. Our condo was huge. The beds were perfect as were the pillows and linens, including the towels which were soft and plentiful. Fully stocked kitchen including condiments and drinks. The ice maker and beach cooler were a nice bonus. Housekeeping was very reasonably priced at 250 pesos. (about $20 Canadian) We saw dolphins almost every morning right from our balcony. The pools were huge and there was always a pool side lounge chair even at peak season. The swim up bar is reasonably priced and the food is quite good. The lounge in the evening has a fully stocked bar, great coffee and a fabulous chef. The turtle rehabilatation is great. We watched them dig up the turtle babies daily and helped release at 6:15pm three nights a week. The beach is perfect, and not crowded like our neighbouring hotels. You can easily enjoy the crowds, just walk down the beach. You can then parasail, banana boat or enjoy many tastes of Mexico. It was truly amazing. We visited the local water park, Mismaloya Zoo, Sayulita, San Pancho and Bucerias and La Cruz. You can easily go for a day trip on the water as well.

Delcanto service is above and beyond expectations. The public areas, pools and amenities are excellent. An hour in the infinity pool is like a day at the spa. Bulmaro at the swim up bar definitely makes one of the best margaritas in Mexico. Our unit had all the amenities one could wish for. The well equipped kitchen made cooking a joy. Our king sized bed was without a doubt 5 times better than any bed I have experienced in our times in Mexico. We were so impressed with the service and amenities as well as our condo that we purchased a 2 bedroom unit for our selves.

This beautiful new facility did not miss any of the details. The spacious two bedroom condo has all the amenities of home plus a fantastic view from the deck. The heated pool (a rarity in this area) is just the right depth to be able to hang out standing up, sit along the perimeter bench or swim laps. The pool also has a fantastic bar and grill with a delicious Mahi Mahi burrito. Depending on the time of year and tides, the sea turtle release is right in front of the hotel where the kids can live the the thrill of releasing dozens of newly hatched sea turtles into the surf. You can also dig for clams and sand dollars when the tide goes out. The beach itself allows you to walk right out into the surf with no rocks or plant life to step on. With easy access to a huge super market and a dozen great restaurants you'll look forward to each meal. We've stayed at a number of Vallarta hotels and condos and none can compare to this one.
