We really enjoyed our two month stay in Gloria & Phil’s condo (Jan 12/13 to Mar 9/13), Gloria provided accurate information and was easy to deal with. The condo is a lovely three bedroom unit and was as described and pictured on Tripadvisor, in fact it is nicer in person. We were very comfortable with the furnishings and the kitchen, we cooked more meals than we expected as Mega has everything that is needed and is about a 30 minute walk. We used the charcoal bbq which works but is messy and Gloria indicated they plan on getting a gas bbq. The layout works well for having another couple visit as the master and second bedrooms are separated by the living space. We enjoyed the full sliding doors and found that they gave us great air flow and we didn’t need the air conditioning (there are three separate ones in the suite), we left the doors open at night to enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the waves, it was like being outside while being inside. The three balconies are furnished so we enjoyed spending time on them and all have nice views of the ocean and the Samba resort (with an open space in between). Everything is in working order and when something was identified as needing repair the on-site property manager responded immediately. It was very nice to have a washer and dryer for clothes and to refresh the linens and towels provided. The condo is on the side towards the all-inclusive Samba resort, and there is resort type noise along with some type of compressor that runs on and off, but overall the noise did not bother us and we got to hear a live band a few times per week during their entertainment, and it doesn’t go very late. Shaw TV was provided and we enjoyed catching up on the news, we didn’t use the DVD.
The complex has beautiful grounds and fantastic pools; there are ample loungers and some umbrellas with the shade structures in higher demand. There is no bar or restaurant on site and the pool area is serene with no annoying music which was one of the best features of the complex. The pools are not heated and tends to be on the cold side, the infinity pool doesn’t have stairs/steps so getting out is a little awkward but doable. The complex has had historical developer/management issues but the condo owner association is now running it and there were no issues during our stay that affected us and we saw some positive improvements. All the security, garden, pool and housekeeping staff that we interacted with were very pleasant, and the property manager was great. Location wise it is on a wonderful beach and walking at low tide is fantastic. Bucerias is about an hour walk to the centro and can be done on the beach or pathway, a taxi is 80 pesos (under $7) each way, there are a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy, we did the Thursday night art Walk and took two cooking lessons. We took the bus to La Cruz, Punta de Mita, Sayulita and into Puerto Vallarta a few times. The bus stop to Puerto Vallarta is right across the street and the bus is very inexpensive and easy to use. Overall this is an excellent condo and complex and we plan on returning.Response from Gloria Dyer - 04/01/2013

If you are looking for a vacation with beautiful views, great restaurants, golden beaches that you can walk to, and lots of adventures near by,then this is for you. The condo has a wall of windows running through all of the rooms, with a view of the bay. The condo is safe,clean,spacious and has all the amenities for a fun and relaxing time.

We have stayed at this condo for two consecutive years and also wanted to stay this spring (2012) but the unit was already rented. The complex is very nice, modern and the pools are great for both adults and kids. The primary pool is graduated and good for young children to play in the shallow water. The condo is well furnished and comfortable. The two main bedrooms are separated making the condo idea for two couples sharing the condo. On hot days, it could use a second air conditioner unit and the parking is on the street if you arrive by car. We would definitely return and most likely will return soon as we are surveying property to construct a home in the Vallarta area.
