This villa has everything that's important to me in holiday accommodation. Three adults and two children (aged 7 and 9) comfortably co-habited for nearly two weeks. The layout is so flexible with a large open living space when we all wanted to hang out together and cool, quiet rooms when we wanted a bit of peace and privacy. The kids spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool and it was easy to keep an eye on them from inside. There's a private massage room and I also visited one of the nearby spas for a blissful three-hour treatment (they provide transport).
Location is great; tucked away in the foothills you don't have to deal with the regular tourist hustle and bustle so it's a real retreat. Taxis are cheap and reliable and it was easy to get to Waterbom, shopping centres, restaurants, beaches, cultural activities and the airport. There's also a great supermarket nearby for home-catering (the kitchen's got everything you need).
Most of all, the Horizon has a fantastic 'vibe'. The staff is friendly, helpful and discreet, and it feels very safe and secure. The décor is simple and tasteful with personal touches that give it a wonderfully homey atmosphere and an airy sense of light and spaciousness that encourages you to kick back and relax.
We love this place and we can't wait to come back!

A spacious villa with a lovely pool and comfy beds, but oh, the kitchen.
If the owners hope to attract tourists like us from Europe,they will
need to upgrade facilities. Kitchen very tired, and sadly very grubby.
The key ceiling fan over sofa area of lounge not working (no a/C on ground floor) and water supply needs a pump to provide acceptable pressure.

We have rebooked at this fantastic property in the Hills of Taman Mumbal Nusa Dua - Our stay was perfect - Hugh contemporary house private and secure located in a quite tree lined street away from the traffic and the tourist belt - The home is cool with all three bedrooms air conditioned all have bathrooms attached clean white linen changed twice a week comfortable beds
The downstairs living dining and kitchen area works very well surrounded with windows and large sliding doors that lead to a private pool and outdoor area all comfortably furnished under ceiling fans - Flat screen TV with international channels kept us upto date with international news and entertainment - The property has two treasures - Luki with the big smile does the meet and great and will solve any problems that may arise always only a phone call away and Janni who lives on the property and looks after the maintenance of the pool and the gardens always helpful does his work when we where a sleep in the early mornings - You need to hire a car or driver however Taxis are a 10 minute walk away in front of the Goodway Hotel if your looking for solitude away from the madness of the tourist strips this is it.

We stayed for a whole month at Horizon Nusa Dua - my wife and I, the kids, and my parents came along as well. If you'll ever get to know a place, a month will do it!
The villa is extremely spacious, has aC in all bedrooms (although you don't really need it anyway), and the main selling point is the pool. If you have kids like we do (girls, 8 and 10) they will occupy 80% of their time playing around in that pool. The owner has also recently added two nice lounge chairs to the poolside, making it easy for parents to lounge while the kids burn off steam.
The beds were among the most comfortable I've experienced, and the sheets/towels were changed regularly.
The garden around the pool is well maintained and very aesthetic.
We had arranged a driver (Komang) through the property manager (Luki) in advance. Koman is highly recommended if you're looking for ease of transport. He's fluent in English, will travel to suit your schedule, and knows tons of great places to visit. If you ahve time for an overnight up north near Lovina, he'll likely take you by his parent's farm in Munduk which is an incredible visual/cultural experience.
We liked the location - a kilometer or so back from the main road it was in a quiet neighborhood. There's a small shop 500m from the villa (to the right of the end of the road) with (very) cheap beer, etc for sale - nice and easy after a day at the beach. The GoodWay hotel is also nearby if you need a taxi or want to torture people with karaoke (note: the drinks are weak and the food tasteless there). Tanjung Benoa has tons of great restaurants and is less than 10 minutes away.
The TV is a new flat screen and (importantly for people with kids) has a USB port. I downloaded a pile of kids movies onto a external drive before going to Bali, and simply plugged this in for the kids to watch - easy and distracting. There is satellite TV, but the selection is relatively limited - not that you should be wasting time on TV in Bali anyway! ;-) -

Stayed here in June, the villa is nice and clean, all the 3 bedrooms were nice, especially the master bedroom and bathroom. Its got a nice pool to relax.Situated in a quite area near goodway hotel in nusa dua, Have to mention about the wonderful staff they have, Luki, ketut, jaini and wendy helped us with everything. Andy was prompt in his replies, sent us a writeup about the villa which was very useful. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting bali.

We had a great stay at Villa Horizon. Luki who manage the place we only met once but we kept contact over the phone the whole week. Jaini who stays in the back of the house is very nice and he takes good care of the place. If we needed taxi, Luki sent someone directly and when we had problems with the internet and one of the doors, they took care of it right away.
The house is beautiful and very comfy... the only downside is the location. The house is located in the hills just outside Nusa Dua and you need to take a taxi everywhere... even to the nearest minimart. Although taxi is cheap so it's not a big deal.Response from Andrew D & Bambang N - 05/19/2012

We stayed for 2 nights in Bali at Villa Horizon; the Villa is a generous size with an excellent swimming pool. The kitchen microwave, utensils and plates etc. needed cleaning on arrival. The booking process was made easy by andy who also arranged a pick up at the airport. We did not find the location great as it was not near the beach or any shops, the best way to get around was to walk to a small local hotel where there were Taxis. We did not meet the property manager until check out, she was very friendly and speaks good English. Overall the Vila is great value for money even for just two people.

This was a no fuss no hassel self catering choice for our family of 7. For anyone looking for great value and flexibility with fantastic staff this villa is a great choice - less about the frills more about the comfort and value. Be sure to use the excellent services of their driver Komang for your day trips, have used a few over the years, he was the most knowledgable with very good english. Thankyou andrew, Luki, Jaini and Komang.

Villa is very nice - good size with airconditioning and a lovely pool. Luki was very prompt with all requests.
Would have liked more towels etc but you get what you pay for. Excellent value for money.
We had problems with the power while we were there (the whole of Nusa Dua apparently) so a generator would be nice! -

Luki was fantastic and welcomed us to Villa Horizon as eell as arranging our transportation and food on arrival. Whenever we needed help with anything she was only a text message away. The Villa's was such great value for money. We loved the lounge area, being able to kick back and watch Dvd's or listen to music, it was very relaxing. I would have loved it even more if there were a couple of pool lounges.
Next time, for a little bit extra, I'd arrange for a maid every day and have some food cooked for us.
The location is away from the hustle & bustle but easy enough to get a texi if you want to venture out for shopping & restaurants.
Had a great time - would stay again! -

We (4 adults & 2 Kids) stayed in the house for 7 days. The House is clean, nice, big and bright, really comfortable. We enjoyed the relaxing days and the kids (3 and 5 years) love the pool, and chasing around in the house. For a ride to the beach, shopping center, grocery stores/super market, just go down to the hotels (5 minutes). There are always taxis waiting. The staff (Jaini and Luki) are very friendly. We enjoyed the stay very much.

We really loved our 10 nights stay in april this year and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Everything went very smootly and Jaini & Luki where there on time to welcome us.
When we arrived and walked into the lovely villa, we were all surprised how spacious and yes luxury the villa looks. Much better than the pictures will tell! Good and nice sustainable materials are being used also for the decoration.
I loved the master bedroom with amazing good therapeutic mattress and explendid that the linnen were changed now and than. The laundry service was also great to have and your care takers are very friendly and lovely people.
Private swimmingpool magnificent to have!
The booking went very easy and smootly and i was surprised that the owner do not ask any breakage deposit at all for such a nice lovely Villa.
We had a lovely stay and we were most happy, thanks to your lovely Villa and wonderfull persons like Luki & Jaini.

We loved our stay at Villa Horizon.
We stayed here with our three children and there was more than enough room.
The Villa is like a home away from home !
Very clean and tidy and Jani the phantom as we called him (caretaker) is just Great.
The pool was Great to cool off in after a long day of shopping.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again,its away from the hussel bussel and very homely.
I would recommend Bali Collection in Nusa Dua for some Great resturants (maybe 10 mins by taxi)Also Hardys Supermarket (5 mins away)Plenty of Taxis near by at the Goodway Hotel to take you where u would like to go.

We stayed in Villa for 2 weeks after we realized that it's cheaper for us to rent private villa than stay in the hotel in Nusa Dua. We were actually a little bit worried before we arrived because we never rent privat villa before but result was much better than we expected.
Villa is located in very quiet area, close to Nusa Dua Resorts. Villa is very new, well built and has everything you could think of include Monopoly table game and plastic food wrap.
Villa was always kept in clean condition but we never saw the cleaning staff. I can say it was home away from home but it was actually better than my home. ?
Luki, the manager was wonderful, she personally greeted my brother and I (we arrived in different time), was always there when we need anything. She suggest us wonderful driver Komang who was like our family at the end. When I asked Luki about BBQ, she bought one for us, so we did amazing seafood BBQ on our farewell dinner.
As I mentioned before, our friend and family stayed in 5 star hotels in Nusa Dua but we all agreed that our villa was far much better and priced very reasonably.
I would really recommend everyone who is choosing between hotel and Villa in Nusa Dua to choose Villa and hire Komang as a driver.

We stayed at the Villa Horizon for 10 glorious days. The accommodation well surpassed our expectations, cool, palatial and resort style (with the most comfy bed we have ever slept in). Outdoors is dwarfed by the beautiful blue pool, private, deep and welcoming. The villa was our oasis amongst the bustle that is Bali.
What elevated our stay in this beauty peaceful villa was the staff. Jaini - or 'phantom' as we called him, was rarely seen, sweeping paths and cleaning the pool every morning, the villa was presented as beautifully as it had been on the first day
Special mention has to be made of Luki, who seamlessly arranged our every desire, from taxis and transport to massages and shopping. Her warmth and smile was infectious and her advice invaluable.
We loved our 10 days in the Horizon and cant recommend it highly enough if you want a quite place to be, close enough to be part of the action but far enough way to be an oasis.
The Horizon Villa has all you would expect from resort accommodation but without all the other guests.

Beautiful, compfy and relaxing. My stay in the Vlla was perfect. It was away from the hustle and bustle - so private and home like with a beautiful pool. Very easy to laze away the days and equally easy to organise a driver for an adventure to any of the delights that Bali has to offer.
So heartbreaking to leave that I went back in October - Bali twice in one year. Hopefully I'll become a regular and be back year after year!
