      A unique and memorable experience

Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Renting a sailboat as a floating B&B; lent itself to a wonderful and unique experience. We rented the B&B; for 4 days. The beauty of this B&B; is that you have the boat all to yourself, you can sit outside in comfort, read, have a drink or just relax and watch all of the tourists walk by as the boat is located in the main harbor. Because the boat stays moored in the harbor there was very little wake, so no fear of getting seasick.
The boat itself has everything you need from microwave to flat screen TV. The berth in the main compartment is a enlarged L shape which we had to get used to for sleeping, however, there was plentiful sleeping areas in the middle section of the boat also.
The owner Sue is a doll to work with and ensured we had everything we needed.
I should add that the price sticker is not cheap to rent this baby, but you are paying for the experience and where else can you see the sunset set directly on the water and wake up smelling the fresh sea air to enjoy at your leisure?

      Pray for Sunshine

Left on 05/05/2011 for a stay in June 2010

We were the first occupants of the season and it turned out to be a rainy weekend. We were going to a wedding. When we first got there the boat was not ready so we had to leave our luggage nearby. Not too bad. Then the food we were left was not what we expected. We thought it would be something unique to set it apart from the grocery store, like a bowl of fresh fruit, homemade muffins or something different. We got small boxes of cereal, english muffins, bananas, yogurt and 1/2 gallon of orange juice, etc. Well okay. It is a boat. Unfortunately it rained and when we woke up we were wet as the boat leaked from every window and the rug was soaked along with some of our clothes and belongings. Thankfully some of our friends had a condo so we were able to get ready for the wedding there as the bathroom shower would not have been very convenient for two women to get ready for an event of this kind. I would not recommend four adults staying there as there is not enough room to put your luggage unless you pack very light. We also had to rent a storage unit on check out day as the ferry was not leaving til 6pm unless we wanted to drag our luggage around all day. The idea of staying on the boat was very appealing. Unfortunately the reality left a lot to be desired, especially for the price. Sorry but truthful.

      Great 10 year anniversary!

Left on 05/04/2011 for a stay in July 2010

We were celebrating our 10yr wedding anniversary and we were not sure what to do until we stumbled across 'The Bed and Breakfast afloat' idea. We booked the trip and stayed 3 days on board. We cannot say enough about the boat-the owners-the location and the idea in general. We had a great time touring Martha's Vineyard and relaxing on board our private getaway. We had everything at our fingertips, great place to stay-stocked fridge-tv-shower-even ac! We were even offered an extra night at a reduced rate- We loved this and we tell everyone to give it a try. We plan to go back-
