Lady Di's is a five bedroom, two bathroom home located on the West Beach portion of beautiful Oak Island, NC. The property features two king beds, three queen beds, two single beds and one queen sleeper sofa. Amenities of Lady Di's include two living areas, a covered porch with furniture and a small oceanfront sun deck. West Beach, stretching almost four and a half miles from Middleton Avenue west to the point of the island, is the most secluded stretch of beach on Oak Island. With more quiet beaches than most of Oak Island, and only a few houses deep at its widest, this stretch of land has virtually no commercial properties and is ideal for... vacationers looking to get away from it all.   There were 12 of us (including 2 children under 3) who stayed in the house. The only good thing my family and I can say about this property is the location (beach front), accommodated large groups and pet friendly. Everything else about our stay was horrible. From cockroaches and palmetto bugs crawling all throughout the downstairs (even on the bedding) to a toilet that wasn't even set in the downstairs bathroom (took them 5 days to finally fix it), our experience here was horrible. Other issues we had with the house were the house was not clean, even though the maid service came before move-in, the floors and under the beds were dirty, the shower curtains were moldy, the exterior doors were not secure and the interior doors stuck when you turned the knobs. The headboards on the beds were loose, there was a blind missing in the living room, 2 out of 3 of the rocking chairs on the deck were broken, the chairs and couches (even with a cover on them) were disgusting, the ice/water machine on the fridge were unfixed (there was a message left on the fridge door). The interior needs new paint and the floors were uneven throughout the house - almost as if there was covered up storm damage. The steps and railing for the deck were very loose, siding was coming off of the side of he house and there was only 1 smoke detector in the entire house.
  We were extremely disappointed with Oak Island accommodations still having this house listed as a rental in the condition it's in. I also e-mailed their general manager with our complaints, but apparently they don't care because they still haven't responded (it's been 3 weeks since I sent my e-mail to them). Their customer service was not friendly either and sadly, the OIa owners know how bad this property is (my aunt and uncle ended up speaking to them while at a store they own on the island and found out they were the owners).
  We did get gift cards from the owners, however I wish they would save their money on gift cards and work on having the house fixed and in a livable manner - Roaches should not be crawling through houses...
  Do yourself a favor and spend your money on another rental.

  Dishes could have been cleaner. Stove did not function well. Otherwise everything was great. Owners sent us gift cards to use at two of the local businesses.

  we like the location close to pier and we liked being close to the ocean . we loved the house it was very spaceous for us all
