Landmark is a four bedroom, three and a half bath home located in the Yaupon Beach portion of beautiful Oak Island, NC. The property features three queens, two singles, and one queen sofa bed. Yaupon Beach, which runs almost two miles from Country Club Drive and the island's old bridge west to Southeast 58th Street is the core of the island. Traveled with 3 boys (17, 13, 11) and a large dog. Although the backyard wasn't fenced in it was completely private due to landscaping. The bedrooms were all really spacious and the loft upstairs was definitely a plus to allow my teenagers an area to hang out in. The pictures do not give the house justice. It's beautiful, comfortable (especially the beds), and conveniently located. We loved that we could just walk directly across the street to go to the beach and we were only a few blocks from the pier. It was also a short drive to the Oak Island Country Club where my husband and son golfed twice during our stay. The only negative thing we encountered during our stay were a few dirty pans that had to be washed prior to use (although I know previous tenants are to wash the dishes before checking out). Another suggestion, although this too is pretty trivial, is the need for plastic food containers with lids since we did cook a lot of meals at the house. We loved our stay and really enjoyed the Oak Island area. Next time we will definitely rent bikes to explore the island more. We've already started planning next year's return trip.
