The house was spacious and comfortable even though we had a large group (2 beach houses) and several children. It is bright and nicely decorated. We slept in one of the downstairs bedrooms (not the master) and I slept very well. The private access to the beach made it convenient since we could avoid lugging all of our beach gear back and forth - we could just leave it in the little pavillion at the end of the walkway all week. The beach near the house was not crowded, and the water was warm and wonderful (albeit a little rough a few of the days we were there.) There is plenty to do in the area and the groceries and libations were not far either! An absolutely wonderful place to stay!

The house was wonderful, we were in Oak Island/Southport for my sons wedding... I guess the only thing I would say that I wasn't happy with... the daybed mattress was absolutely horrible... I had to put my 20 and 23 yr. old daughters on the sofas to sleep, which wasn't what I was planning. They would have been better off putting a bed in that upstairs bedroom. Plus, I didn't have hot water for 2 nights, until I called maintenance to come over to make adjustment to hot water tank...
Would I come back and stay, absolutely... but if they'd change out that upstairs bedroom, I'd be a lot happier.
