Me fiancé and I met another couple at bear paws and we had a great enjoyable weekend. We will definitely be looking into returning in the near future! It was tough to find though!

The cabin was amazing - even better than the pictures. It had multiple fire places, spacious bedrooms, and a hot tub! The deck was also very nice. The cabin was very clean and everything was in order when we arrived. There was even a re-usable bag with various items we needed. The only cons would be that it was a little difficult to find even though it is right off of the road. I think more dishwasher pods should be provided for those travelers that plan on doing a lot of cooking - so if you are planning on cooking consider bringing more dishwasher soap. Other than that the cabin was fabulous. My friends and I had a great time.

Bear Paws was a great place. My only concern was the upstairs fire place did not work well, but the one in the basement worked great! I would recommend this cabin to a small group or a romantic get away. My fiancé and I went for a romantic get away and loved it. The hot tub didn't feel like or was hot enough, but it was very cold out with snow. The drive way in getting to bear paws is pretty steep, and the location comes up quick. You may miss it once or twice before actually finding the driveway.

Overall a great experience. Our only concern was the smell of burned gas on the main fireplace, but I guess that relates to the gas source from the area. I highly recommend it, although it is a little far from the sky slopes.

This was an amazing experience start to finish! From the very courteous office staff, to the great price, and the beautiful, spotless, plush cabin, this all made for a very relaxing (especially in the hot tub!) stay that we are still telling our friends about. Highly recommended! No need to search further, you will not be disappointed!

We stayed for the weekend for our anniversary. It was very clean, the hot tub was great, and we had no issues at all with our stay. We had a great experience with our stay at bear paws. We will definately stay there again!

Wonderful Vacation House. Just far enough from the congestion of the Lake area, yet just a few miles to anywhere in the area. I wish I could comment on the service, but I can only assume it ie great because we did'nt need a thing. All essentials were provided and everything worked!!!

If you like to be surrounded by images and statues of bears, not merely the paws, Bear Paws is for you. The two bedrooms and baths were very clean and reasonably sized. The kitchen/dining area/family room had ample space. The downstairs game room had a very nice wet bar. We did not use the hot tub or foosball table, but they appeared to be in good shape. The house was exceedingly clean. Possibly the cleanest house we have ever rented.
The upstairs TV/DVD set up defeated me for some reason, but the downstairs arrangement was simple to use.
Signage to the house could be better as it comes up on you quickly. We only missed the approach once. The driveway is steep enough that it is best to use 4 wheel drive in the icy months. The house is also quite close to 219, so it is not a quiet, totally serene locale.
All in all, it is a very pleasant house. -

First off, if you go to Deep Creek, rent from Offlake Rentals. The service was amazing. I have never had service of that quality with any vacation rental company anywhere.
Bear Paws is adorable and comfortable. Log cabin in a small community gives you an outdoorsy feel without being in the middle of nowhere. We were able to keep to ourselves and enjoy the hot tub privately, but still could run to the store without a trek.
One of the things we really loved was that because of the two-level setup you could have a whole family, but it wasn't overwhelming when it was just the two of us. Also the owners provide lots of entertainment options-- books, Dvds, games, puzzles-- and the couches are perfect for snuggling.
The kitchen had almost everything you would need to cook real food, and the grill was fantastic. The bathrooms are nothing fancy, but very clean and well-maintained. And there is a huge wet bar set up in the family room on the lower level so you could entertain or celebrate a holiday with a small group of friends or family.
The only imperfect thing would be that the aC is a bit loud. It is plenty cool though, for which we were very grateful!

We had a wonderful Holiday at the cabin. It was very relaxing, we had a white Christmas and enjoyed the area. My 14 year old grandson loved his "man cave" downstairs. It was perfect.

We didn't think we were going to have a family vacation this year. Our oldest child had an erratic schedule between home and her college house. Our youngest had a full-time job and wanted to stick around home to hang with his friends before he headed off to his first year at college. I had work deadlines the week we chose to take a trip. However the stars aligned and we found Bear Paws near Deep Creek Lake through Off Lake Rental.
Everything was easy about our trip from booking the cabin to check-in to finding our way around to check-out. The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed for a pleasant vacation.
While we liked the house, we would have preferred a more remote location (as long as it also had wireless Internet). This house is off a main road in a group of other similar homes. Sort of a mini "rustic cabin" subdivision. Despite that drawback, the back (front?) yard with the hot tub seemed private enough, overlooking a grove of trees.
One cannot stay at Bear Paws without mentioning the bear knickknacks. We started counting them, but lost track. There must be at least 100 bear images around the house. Fun, but a little over-the-top for the men in the family. -

Bear Paws was an exceptional experience. The layout of the cabin was perfect for 2 couples. I was a little concerned that it wasn't right on the lake but I didn't need to be. The location was perfect because it was peaceful, but convenient!

My husband and I recently went there with our two sons, ages 4 and 6, and my father-in-law to do some skiing at Wisp. We all agreed that it was a wonderful home!! It was clean and incredibly well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with more utensils, dishes, and cookware than you would ever need. The generous selection of Dvds was a wonderful surprise! The foosball table and hot tub were a hit! Having two living/family rooms really let everyone spread out and do their own things, or watch their own movies! The bar was beautiful, wish we had a party! One thing I must note was the wonderful water pressure in the shower! The 'magic' fireplaces were hard to get used to, turning on and off by themselves. It was about 100 degrees when we got there, with the fire on. So it just took some time adjusting the controls. The locations was a short drive to Wisp and many good restaurants, like Uno's! Of course the wonderful bears throughout the cabin were evident of the care that was taken when setting up and decorating the cabin, such nice touches that you don't expect in a rental! Wonderful place!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this home. We had a fabulous time. Close to everything but still felt secluded. Easy check in with Offlake Rentals. House was super clean and had a lot of nice little extra touches that you usually don't find in a rental. We can't wait to come back. Perfect for two couples, each had our own bedroom and bathroom.

Great rental! My boyfriend, friends and I enjoyed a very relaxing vacation at Bear Paws. Lots of movies to watch and hot tub was awesome!

Bear Paws is a log cabin that has everything you want for a relaxing vacation. It's location is perfect, you are centrally located to shopping, dining or packing a picnic lunch and going to one of the beautiful State Parks nearby. Or just simply relax on the deck with a book or enjoy the hot tub. It's well maintained so you don't have to worry about any suprises. We have enjoyed 3yrs of vacations so far and Off Lake Rentals have taken excellent care of us.

For our first stay in the Deep Creek area, this was the perfect place for us! Met up with my sister-in-law and her husband for a couples week. The house was great! The pictures don't even do it justice! We enjoyed having cocktails at the downstair bar, and watching a campfire from the hot tub in the evenings. Well stocked kitchen too. Would recommend!

I stumbled across Bear Paws and was incredibly happy with my find for two couples for the weekend, Bear Paws was just what we needed. Close enough to Swallow Falls (where the wedding took place) yet close enough to all else Deep Creek has to offer. Just perfect.

The home was very cozy and clean. We brought a lot of dishes like plates, forks, and just everything while that was already in the house. Next time, we'll know better. When the driveway was all in snow and we couldn't get out, the plow operators came promptly and cleaned that up. That was a complete surprise cause we thought that we'd have to clean the snow ourselves and just gave a try and called the operator. Overall, our stay was amazing. There were ten people who stayed in the house and everybody can't wait to come back. In February, me and my husband plan to take our parents to one of your houses for a week. Thank you for everything and I hope to get back to your property soon)))))

Bear Paws is a great little cabin with lots of space. It is well outfitted with a bar in the basement, multiple fireplaces and great bathrooms. My wife and I have spent several weekends there and absolutely love it. It is close to my favorite trout streams, Wisp resort and local restaurants, bars and grocery stores. We cant wait to stay there for our first wedding anniversary!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Deep Creek Md! My only complaint is that the rollaway beds were not double beds as stated online and the rollaways were the most uncomfortable beds EVER! Other than that it was a great stay the cabin was beautiful loved it!

We loved staying at Bear Paws. It was just perfect for us to rent for the long weekend!! We loved the big porch and the hot tub at night. Everything was so cozy!! We loved all the bear decor too! This cabin was very centrally located to all the great activities that Deep Creek has to offer.

The cabin was very nice and well-equipped. We enjoyed out stay. TVs in the two bedrooms would have been much appreciated but it was fine. Close to the lake, restaurants and shops. It is literally right off the main road so you do see and hear the traffic (lots of trucks) going by but it was not bad with the doors and windows all closed. A/C works well but is a little on the noisy side. GREAT selection of DVDs to watch and the downstairs bar area with foosball table and stereo was enjoyed by all. Roll-away beds could use some updating, they were not the most comfortable.
