This was our family's second visit to Stoney Point, and we can't say enough positively about the home. We have rented several places at DCL over the years, and this by far tops them all in comfort, style, location, and care of the home.
Most homes around the lake have a blocked view of the lake - not Stoney Point. The view of the lake from the home is amazing! Our family of 6 was very comfortable. I almost hesitate to write a review in fear that it will be too occupied to get to stay again. -

This year we left a powerless home in the Baltimore area to arrive for check-in to find SP also without power after the intense derecho that hit the state the previous night. The owner graciously offered to refund our money but we decided to stay as no power with 85 degrees was better than no power and 102 degrees back in Baltimore! It was a very good thing we stayed as things were starting to melt in the kitchen and garage freezers!! The owner quickly dispatched his trusted cleaning person who did a bang up job and was so friendly. The power returned at 2am Monday and the rest of the week was as wonderful as always. Stoney Point is as elegant and relaxing as every review states and we feel fortunate to have found it. We have now enjoyed SP for five years and have no plans to stop!!! It is simply the perfect lake house.

Perfection is the best way to describe this home. Beautiful home that is tastefully decorated, very clean, and situated perfectly on the lake with private dock and lush green yard. The Stoney Point residence is supreme, and the owners make it their objective to ensure visitors have a beautiful and comfortable stay in their elegant, completely outfitted and stocked home.
We have stayed in about two dozen homes on the Lake; this home is the perfect home on the perfect property on the perfect location on the lake. We always are seeking a relaxing environment, gorgeous view, wonderful yard to play or relax in, a steady dock, and a quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. We found that, along with elegance throughout the house, everything we could possibly want, and a genuinely warm note of welcome from the owners.
The house was impeccably clean, and the two dishwashers made entertaining our family very easy. The gorgeous, close, open, and wide views of the lake make every activity in or outside the house an amazing event. When seated on the deck there is still the full view of the lake because the deck railing height does not obstruct the view.
The dock was a joy to have; it is so solid and stable that we didn't have to be concerned about our young grandchildren walking on it and losing their balance. There is a wonderful water trampoline attached to the dock that is marvelous to even just lay on.
There is nothing we could possibly find that is less than wonderful about Stoney Point. We will be making every effort to reserve this home whenever we return to Deep Creek Lake.

We arrived to a warm, beautiful and very relaxing home. The views were breath-taking as we looked out on a peaceful lake with a snow covered deck. Our family spent time relaxing, skiing, snow tubing, building a snowman, reading, cooking, soaking in the hot-tub and enjoying the beauty of this magnificent landscape. We had everything we needed to prepare meals in a well organized kitchen. We are very thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this gorgeous lake front home and are looking forward to returning in the future.

The house was beautiful and extremely well kept. We found everything we needed. The setting was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the wildlife and the outdoor walks especially. We did not find as many activities away from the house that we would have liked but overall it was a very good week.

This was our 4th year at Stoney Point and we look forward to coming each year. The house is stunning and fully equipt so that all we have to do is loll around. Our fishing skills need to be improved but the fun in fishing is even if you don't get anything just making like Tom Sawyer is great and this property is perfect for just that.

The home is beautiful in every regard. Everything is top notch. The owners have a real pride about the house and try to make the renters feel at home. The bottle of wine and note welcome to our home is a very personal touch. It is the second year we rented this house and noticed all the new changes from last year. It is a beautiful house and our family vacation was perfect because of it.

This was our first year at Stoney Point. The house has fabulous views of the lake and is equipped with everything you would have/want in your own home. As the pictures show, the property is extremely well kept and decorated so beautifully! But, it is functional too. Our children had a ball playing games in the garage and yard and as well as swimming in the lake. One other note, I loved that the owner, Todd, made himself so accessible if you needed him...the package is a rare find. We can't wait to return next year!

I hesitate to write a review, because I'd love to keep this home a secret for as long as possible! We have stayed at SP for the past four summer vacations. It was the third house we rented at DCL and we never looked again after finding it. We are a family of four, as is the family with whom we vacation. We find the home absolutely kid-friendly (down to the sippy cups in the kitchen and bed rail in the linen closet!), and our sons have met and spent time with the neighbor's grandson when he was visiting. The views are terrific, it's off the main lake, wildlife abounds (yes, including bears), and it is, indeed, extremely well-equipped. The only drawback to SP? It's incredibly popular, so renting it for two weeks in a row is really hard!!

This was our 4th year at Stoney Point and we've already reserved it again for our 5th year! I just love this home - it has everything to make you feel comfortable and pampered on your vacation! The house is always in top notch condition thanks to Cindy who always makes sure the house is spotless! The card and gift on the breakfast bar upon our arrival and the personal call, to say hello and ensure our satisfaction, from Todd (the owner), really make us feel welcome and a part of a Home and not just a rented house. Those kinds of personal touches truly make the difference. I would recommend this home to anyone! The view is beautiful, the property and home are gorgeous, and you there is no such thing as too much fun on the private dock with the water trampoline!
We are looking forward to many more years of making Stoney Point our Home away from Home!

My family has been vacationing in this home for 2 years and we will be renewing for our 3rd. I can personally attest to the wonderful owners and their beautiful home they extend to others (and I am picky!). There is no other property on the lake that can offer the wonderful open views while we play our daily game of Bocce on the lawn. We have had rental experiences on the same lake which don't even begin to compare to this home. If you are interested in a well maintained luxury vacation rental with owners who care... you have found it. We are looking forward to our next vacation at Stony Point!

The house is beautiful and well stocked. The lake front is wonderful as well. On the down side, the neighbors are very unfriendly and it was clear they did not like kids. Also, the expectations of the owner are above the standard and the suggestion would be to get those clearly stated before the visit.

This was our third year at Stoney Point and that is a testament to our love of the house and grounds. All the little details are taken care of and that also reflects in the care with which Stoney Point is managed and looked after. My family and I look forward to our two weeks at Deep Creek and especially at Stoney Point. So see you all again next year. p.s. put more fish in the lake!!!

Beautiful and comfortable house. Everything furnished, including firewood for the fire pit. Level yard, large deck, dock, and loft playroom were welcome additions since we had grandchildren from age 3-12. Perfect floor plan for our three small families, each having their wing of the house. Nicely furnished, kitchen fully equipped.

We have stayed on Deep Creek Lake for three vacations. This property was the best experience by far. The house is at a great location for a family with children, especially the gentle slope to the lake and gated deck. The house is designed to provide both a large open space and private bed room areas. The kitchen was equipped like we were home. All four couples were very pleased with our stay.

This was our second stay at Stoney Point and again the experience far outweighed our expectations. The owners really take pride in their home and provide everything you could possible need and more than you could ever want for a fabulous vacation! The furnishings, amenities and even the little extra's for the little one's in your crowd (the jungle themed room was a big hit with our 9 year old) make all the difference. I'd highly recommend Stoney Point to anyone.

This stay was our 2nd year at Stoney Point and you can bet we would have not returned if the stay was anything but exceptional. The house is lovely and extremely well kept and had all the amenities one could ask for. The service we received was top notch and our dealings with Long & Foster were always pleasant and complete. I think we all liked the peace and quiet the most because the house lends itself to a relaxed atmosphere. We will return for a 3rd year, you can rely on that.
