Very difficult to get up thr steep steps for anyon disabled or older. Not for disabled(wheelchair) at all. Steep steps inside to 2nd bedroom. Curtains did not fully cover the windows in living room & bedrooms. One pair of curtains covered 2 separate windows in down stairs bedroom. Pots & pans need to be updated. Minor problems - bees by door & blinking light in up stairs BR were attended to quickly. This home is for sale so owners probably do not want to put much money or effort into fixing it up. The real estat co was great. Loved the location-view of the lake. really quiet.

Bowie, MDThe perfect place to decompress!
Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This log cabin was fabulous! I loved the idea of staying in a nice log cabin, and this proved to be the perfect place to unplug from the world for a while and relax. The only issue, a cloudy hot tub, was dealt with immediately and very courteously by Long & Foster to our complete satisfaction. The location is great, being close enough to the lake for a morning run, and the beautiful Garrett County state parks and Wisp resort are just a quick drive away. The log cabin was both rustic and gorgeous with all ammenities, and the setting was beautiful with lots of trees. It was a great place to relax with the family and I would love to stay in the Evergreen again.

Forest Hill, MDA perfect romantic getaway
Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We had the most amazing weekend at Deep Creek. The cabin was gorgeous. It was close to shops and restaurants, but tucked away enough to feel private and "away". They thought of everything: extra linens, fully stocked kitchen, alarm clocks. The binder left in the cabin was very helpful. Not only did it offer information about the use of the cabin, it also listed nearby attractions to visit. The best part was being able to relax in the hot tub everyday. Our trip was relaxing and memorable. In fact, we were already planning to return in the summer when we checked out!! I cannot recommend Long & Foster and The Evergreen cabin more highly.

Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and quiet. Wonderful cabin with great amenities. The only 2 things I would update on are:
1. Blinds or curtains should be added for more privacy, especially as night.
2. Better selection of TV channels, with perhaps a plasma tv?

We all enjoyed the cabin and its features. My husband would probably choose another cabin that had more cable channels as he couldn't get some of the main sports and news channels (Fox & Espn). Overall, it was a very relaxing and quiet weekend as there were not very many people in the village.

Leonardtown, MDRustic appeal with modern comforts and conveniences
Left on 08/04/2010 for a stay in July 2010
My husband, myself, and our two children ages 6 and 8 years thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Evergreen. It was so nice not to have to bring our own bed linens and bath towels. The log cabin was charming, and the modern appliances made the kitchen as convenient as home. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers, washer/dryer and dishwasher worked well. We did use the central air, and were glad we had it. Yellowstone Village is a quiet, cozy community, and we felt safe letting our children play out around the cabin without worry. Deep Creek State Park and Swallow Falls were close by for hiking and swimming, as well as putt putt golf and other fun activities. Overall, staying at The Evergreen contributed to a very enjoyable week long vacation for our family.

Left on 11/12/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This home was immaculate and included everything you would need. We really enjoyed the spa room with hot tub, fireplace and seating. This is the perfect way to have a hot tub. Important to know that the master bedroom upstairs has no door and is open to sound from main living area. It was only the 2 of us, so this was fine for us. The only thing that could be improved would be new linens on the bed.

Erie, PAQuiet Peaceful experience
Left on 09/16/2009 for a stay in September 2009
The cabin was lovely although a bit pricey because only one couple stayed there so there was no one to split costs with. The cabin could have used more window treatments for privacy however it was still a great experience. The neighboring cabins were pretty empty because we stayed after labor day, which was beautiful weather wise Really awesome

Lived on Deep Creek as a Kid
Salt Lake City, UTNice, small cottage, but niggling maintenance issues
Left on 07/08/2009 for a stay in June 2009
This is a nice 2-bedroom cottage in a very quiet area. The billing of "lake access" is a bit misleading, as the "access" is free passes to the local State Parks, which are a bit of a drive away. There were a strangely large number of niggling maintenance issues: the front door handle to the place was put on backwards, and is falling off; the upstairs sink didn't retain water; a lightbulb was out; the dishwasher door scrapes against the kitchen wall; etc.
