Left on 04/25/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in this wonderful home! It was comfortable, spacious, clean, and well equipped. The location was great, playground was close by and beautiful scenery! Enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fireplace! The high ceilings throughout are very nice and beds are comfortable! We are already looking forward to coming back again!

PABetter have 4-wheel drive
Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in March 2013
The house was really nice. It was unfortunate that the master bedroom is right off of the living room/kitchen. You can hear everything going on in the house. Not to mention, the bedroom doors didn't have a lock!
We went in early March & it snowed everyday. The house was not plowed when we arrived & had to ask to have it plowed so we could even walk down the driveway (which was hard to find!) Plus, one of the trash bins was already full & had trash stashed on top.
Since it snowed everyday, we couldn't get our cars out the next morning. When I called for a plow they charged me $35 saying I already used my plow yesterday and it didn't snow at least 3 inches. Shouldn't the house have been plowed before we arrived? How did we already use one when we weren't even at the house for a minute! We paid the fee because we wanted to get out and go skiing.
Basically, never go down this driveway, especially in the snow. It is a steep drop. All of our cars were stuck and required the plow man to chain our cars & pull them up the hill. Even one of our 4-wheel drive vehicles has trouble. And my car's tire popped trying...
In fact, we left a day early because of the snow and location of this home. It was 15 minutes down a back road that wasn't plowed, hard to find, and the driveway was dirt.
And, we were charged an extra cleaning fee for the trash. Even though half of the bins were full when we arrived & never emptied during our stay.
Overall, the house was very nice. The game room basement was fun & the hot tub was nice after a long day on the slopes. The TV was really high on the wall. You had to strain your neck to see it. But, they provided firewood & had a nice fireplace. It was a shame it snowed so much because we couldn't use the fire pit or the outdoor fireplace.
The house had adequate rooms & bathrooms. Aside from the strange fact that the master bedroom didn't lock. If you go in the winter do not go down the driveway.
Also, report any extra trash & snow upon arrival! -

Baltimore, MDSo relaxing!
Left on 08/19/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The house is the only one in the (future) subdivision, and it faces the woods in the back, so there is abundant nature and privacy. We spent a ton of time on the deck, reading, talking, and watching birds. We also enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, immediate response to our questions, pool table, hot tub and DirecTV. There are lots of books and toys in the house for kids, and it is a very short drive to beautiful Swallow Falls State Park and not much farther to Herrington Manor State Park, which has a great beach for kids, plus trails. Deep Creek Lake is of course also close. I would be delighted to stay there again.

So gorgeous, what a fabulous vacation home! Perfect for our two family gathering, with kids 3-19, and the adults who now want an outdoor fireplace/high awning at our own homes.

Fort Loudon, PANo Snow - But had a Blast!
Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This was our first vacation since haveing our 1st baby. She is 9 months old and this house had almost everything we needed to take care of her without needing to bring everything from home. The only thing that was missing was a rocking chair - we really missed that when she awoke in the middle of the night. This house was huge and very clean. Perfect house for any vacationing family or group of friends. Loved the fireplace and outdoor living. Beatiful decor and confy beds. Driveway is little tricky but we had no problems. Plenty of room to park for multipule vehicals. The home is in a wooded area but on top of the hill there is great view of the lake. The kitchen was fully stocked with every pot, pan & dish we needed to cook with. The downstairs play area is a room full of fun for all ages. I would love to come back and stay here in the fall. It would be so pretty. Could only get better if it were closer to the water. Althought it is only 5 minutes from all the lake attractions. Had a great trip even though it did not snow.

Pittsburgh, PAAnother Great Time at Lazy Bear
Left on 02/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012
This was our second stay at Lazy Bear and once again a fantastic time. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and this time we decided to let our family in on the fun. The house was clean and neat as usual, and spacious enough that we were not sitting on top of each other. The teenagers loved the finished lower level and the heated floors are such a bonus, they were playing pool in bare feet. The fire places are so nice and if done correctly, the wood burner downstairs practically heats the whole house! The owners of the home are so great and were very gracious in helping me when I set off the fire alarm with the toaster oven :( We love Lazy Bear, the setting is so beautiful and secluded, you cannot beat it.

Pittsburgh, PAAn unforgettable vacation home.
Left on 11/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This home was so beautiful & very comfortable. It was a long weekend getaway with my two sisters & our spouses & it was definitely enjoyed by all. We loved everything about the house. The location was great because as of now it is the only house in this plan. So there was plenty of privacy. This home has wonderful decks with an outdoor fireplace & large hot tub. It rained a couple days but there was plenty to do inside also. They have a gameroom with a pool table, air hockey & playstation.
We made some great memories & hopefully we can go back to stay at Lazy Bear again. -

Long IslandUnbelievable House

Great house and accomodations. Everything you can think of was in the house. The only thing that could have been more convenient would be being closer to town. But overall super vacation and rental. I would highly recommend this home and area.
