The setting is private and cozy . A favorite lake for boating, fishing, skiing, swimming and sailing. Across the lake from Colby College crew practices and a short boat ride to New England Music Camp.
This cedar log cabin is just steps from the water with level access. Dock favors parents and grandparents with comfortable seating while watching over young children in protected waters. The frontage is clear with a sandy/pebble bottom. Property has 1/2 acre of land with beautiful flowering gardens. Centrally located 15 minutes to Belgrade or Waterville. If there is a summer heaven on Earth, it is here!
The owners anticipated everything one could possibly need/want in a vacation house. It is the perfect mix of charm and style. They are friendly,were always available for questions, and provided lots of info about the area.
the house, the garden, the pier, the canoe and kayak, the terrace, the toys...My family has never been so relaxed. Waking up to the sounds of the loons on the lake, swimming in the clean, clear water, having everything available for cooking simple or gourmet meals...we felt simply spoiled!
Not to be missed: the deep bathtub, the outdoor shower, the cozy reading chairs and the library, full of an array of great books! In addition, the gas grill made quick meals easy, the yard was perfect for 2 little boys, and the pier provided a peaceful place for evening talks and dreaming.

We had a wonderful stay at this 1940s log cabin on the shores of Lake Messalonskee. Very relaxing atmosphere and a lovely home.

I can't say enough about this wonderful camp! I have a small child and she loved playing in the shallow part with sandy bottom - something that is rare to find on a lakefront rental! The house is cozy and very clean, full of wonderful details like a sinker tub! The owner takes very good care of the property and everything worked and was clean. The lakewater was divine and clean, too. I would recommend it to anyone! I
