Immaculate, airy 2 bedroom /1 bath unit in Oakland's sophisticated ROCKRIDGE DISTRICT. No car necessary-walk to BART (direct line to SF and SFO airport), buses. Drive or BART to SF in 20 mins. Berkeley campus 3 miles/12 mins. (Note re Rates: Three-night minimum stay. $135/nt for 1-2, $165/nt. 3-4 people)

Description: Upstairs one flight. Spacious open-plan with walls of windows and lovely garden and SF Bay views. Quiet green environment. Fully-equipped kitchenette with stove, frig, oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, blender, rice cooker. Adjoining twin bedroom sleeps one. See floor plan in photo gallery.

Newly furnished, including top quality queen bed with luxury linens.

No pets. NO SMOKING. Three-night minimum stay. $135/nt for 1-2 ($945/wk), $165/nt. 3-4 people ($1155/wk). $100 security deposit required to confirm booking (refunded at end of stay.) 25% of rental rate due at least 10 days prior to arrival. $50 cleaning fee. Credit Card or PayPal accepted through secure PayPal site.

"Great Place to Stay"

Our family of four (two five year old twins) stayed here for a five days in December and were more than pleased. The apartment is very comfortable, tastefully furnished and well maintained. It's bright and airy, has an efficient kitchenette, and a delightful garden where our boys enjoyed burning off some of their energy. The house is an easy walk to restaurants, stores and a Bart station. Vicky, the owner, was charming, accommodating and commited to ensuring an enjoyable stay. Since we have family living not too far from this rental, we look forward to staying here again in the future."

  This accommodation was just perfect. We stayed 8 days and it felt like our own private residence as we had zero interaction with the home owner. Kitchenette is a bit archaic (might have been built before The War) but it worked fine. Bed was comfortable. Sure beats a motel.

  The apartment is located on the second floor of a beautiful property on a hill in the Rockridge area of Oakland. The apartment has windows around the whole interior which offered fantastic views of San Francisco Bay. In addition, the apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and in an excellent location to all of the attractions in the San Francisco area. The owner of the property was very helpful and made our stay in the Bay area a great experience. We had no complaints and would highly recommend this property. We plan on using this property again as we are from Michigan and our daughter works in the SF area.

  This vacation rental is very comfortable and situated in a lovely neighborhood called Rockridge. Very convenient to both freeways and public transportation. The rental unit is well equipped, very clean and private.

  Like staying at Grandma's.

  Lovely, light, airy, spacious and immaculately clean in-law apartment with a view of San Francisco. Located in an upscale and very hilly neighborhood. Entrance to the apartment is through a large inner courtyard with lush garden and up an external flight of stairs. House rules include taking your shoes off when entering, which was fine with us. Despite the separate entrance, we would have appreciated more privacy, as we could hear owner Vicki’s telephone conversations and we presumed she could hear us. Vicki accommodated our need for a fragrance-free environment and was otherwise efficient and pleasant in her dealings with us. The queen-sized bed was extraordinarily comfortable and decked out nicely. Despite Vicki’s immediate attention to a problem we were having with the video system, we soon gave up on using any of the dated electronic devices. We were happy to focus our attention on spending time with our family who live nearby and checking out the Bay area. Electricity in general was quirky: we were warned that if we used appliances in the kitchen when the bathroom light was on that we’d blow a fuse. (We didn’t.) Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Margarido apartments, have recommended it to family and friends, and look forward to staying there again.

  We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at this Rockridge-Oakland apartment. We were visiting family in the area. It is in a lovely neighborhood and convenient to the Rockridge neighborhood. The apartment was large enough to give our teenage son and ourselves a little space and privacy. It is nicely decorated and immaculate. The little kitchenette proved useful. We used the microwave and the fridge. Vicky was very friendly. We would definitely like to stay here again.

  This in-law style apartment is on the second floor, rear, of the owner's home, and is accessed by walking through a beautiful inner courtyard garden. The house is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood uphill from the Rockridge Bart (the only line that provides direct access from the San Francisco airport), where a variety of restaurants and other local shops also are located. The apartment is very clean, has a handy kitchenette for anything from simply making coffee to cooking a full meal. There is a beautiful view of San Francisco from one of the living room's windows.
