  Stayed for two nights in January, 2013 with husband, two teens and dogs. Location was very convenient to Wisp and the Lake. House was tiny/cramped and pretty basic, with one nice bedroom upstairs and a big t.v. and fireplace in the living room and a good view from the deck. More appropriate for a couple with one child as the second bedroom is teeny and in order to use the sofa bed, you need to move the living room furniture. Place is "pet friendly" (with a large pet charge) but not at all condusive to having pets (winding staircase inside and steps into and out of the rental that get slick, plus more steps to get to a green area where the pets can romp). Kitchen was not well stocked - everything looked very old and linens provided were scratchy (we brought our own). The place supposedly comes with a certificate for a nearby restaurant but we had to inquire about the certificate in order to get it (it should be left in the house with the Wi Fi password, which we also had to call to get.) By the way, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurant for anything other than pizza. I will definitely return to Deep Creek Lake region but will look for a different rental.

  Thank you for your review of Reardon's Roost, and for bringing these items to our attention! I do apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced during your stay.
  
  This property is one of our more reasonably priced, pet friendly options. It does offer more of that cozy appeal, and is very nice for a small family. This townhome normally only allows 2 dogs, however, with the owner’s approval of allowing 3 dogs, I can see where it may have felt a little snug.
  
  This owner does give a complementary gift certificate to Brenda’s Pizzeria, which offers more of a New York style pizza. We like to personally hand these gift certificates to our guest.
  
  Again, we do greatly appreciate you bringing these items to our attention! I will be forwarding this to the owner so that he can be aware of upgrades that will make his home appealing.
  
  Also, please let me know when you go to reserve again. I would be happy to try to find you something that would be a better fit for your needs.
