"Awesome View" needs a remake! The house layout was great and it's location - Great! But the Cleanliness was poor! All Six (6) Bathroom Shower Heads are rusted!! The Top Floor Master Bathroom has plumbing issues (the water in the bathtub fills up when using the shower); Four (4) Televisions did not work! The Lower Level Fire Place did not work! The lighting in the Pool Room was too dim (several blown bulbs); Furniture was worn, scratched and visibly damaged; sofas need to be re-upholstered or replaced.
So Very Thankful
A very Thankful Family Gathering

It was quite a blessing to be able to bring my family back together after so many years of separation after my grandfather passed. This house fully accommodated our needs while allowing the space for everyone to relax. It introduced the family to a different very enjoyable experience among the mountains. The house truly fulfilled the role of home during our Thanksgiving holiday.
Needs good scrubbing
Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in August 2010 | Family Vacation
House is in need of good scrubbing and maintenance, pool green - crud on side walls, over half the lights out in pool room. Putting green has not been cleaned off - would not advertise as amenity, horseshoe pits not level and overgrown. House was not clean inside, beds were not all changed, commodes dirty. circuit breaker for kitchen plugs was blown. Kitchen, pantry closet and powder room by kitchen infested with fruit flies, fleas. Stove and oven need cleaned, appliances dirty and not high quality. display read outs burnt out stove, oven, microwave. Landscape needs trimmed and outside pressure washed - spider webs. Deck needs pressure washed and cleaned. Needs some paintwork, window locks repaired, ceiling fans replaced - in-op, ping pong table and air hockey table broken - glad we did not have kids who wanted to use them with us. House needs some TLC to bring back to good condition. We fixed path to dock so wheelchair member could get down to water. This was to be an upgrade house since our original house went to forclosure - if I had paid the original price for that house I would have been highly upset. We made the most of the conditions. Would recommend an investor build some handicap accessible homes. I'm sure they would rent easyly.

Loved the place. Aside from getting stuck trying to get in and out of the driveway, it was a great weekend overall. Might come back in the summer to see how the place fairs during the warm months.

Awesome View is really awesome. View of the lake is perfect. The house, pool and hot tub were great. The fireplace added the perfect extra touch to our Thanksgiving meal. One burner on the stove needs to be replaced but overall, the house was great. Got to hike in Swalow Creek State Park and enjoyed it a great deal. Would we stay again ... absolutely!
Awesome view was truly Awesome

I stayed at Awesome View with several of my college friends, as well as our new families and had an AMAZING TIME! We loved everything from the indoor pool and fire place, to the easy to use kitchen and dining room; from easy to access lake to the refreshing hot tub; from the multiple family rooms which were great for bonding moments to the game rooms which brought back old rivalries. Walking around the house I was able to see my friends with their kids teaching them how to play chess/checkers, playing guitar around a camp fire or great late night sessions re-hashing the good ole times (we are all in our mid-late 20's so the idea of it just sounds strange). This was truly a great time and we will definitely be back next year.

Home was a great family place to have fun and quality time together. Lots of space for private and large gatherings. We really enjoyed the cold weather and the fireplaces. Plenty of room for all 20 plus of us.

This was a great stay. We had 16 people in the house and there was more than enough room. The pool was an added bonus since there isn't too much to do at night since it was winter. The kitchen was more than equipped with everything we needed. The only down side is since the house is deep down a hill it was easier for those of us that had trucks to manuever since there was snow and ice on the ground. Read more

It was in awful shape and Railey didn't care

We rented this house for a family reunion. It is one of the most expensive
Railey's portfolio of homes. It was a good size for our group and the
was nice on the lake. That said, it looked like a fraternity had lived in it for
year. Two of the showers were literally covered with black mold, there was
soda or beer spilled all over the wall along the stairs, the main couch in the
living room was totally ripped up, the hot tub was green and cold, and that
was just the beginning. The floors were sticky and dirty, the game room
games were broken and dust covered the place. The place was downright
disgusting. We visited the management at Raileys and asked them to come
and clean the place and didn't get any response. It took them 3 days to
up and do a light cleaning. We had to ask them to go back and get the
out of the showers. We made the best of it as we were gathering to spend
time with my father who was very ill. We could wheel him down to the lake
and take him for rides on a boat, which he loved. To say that this house is
a rip-off is an
understatement. Raileys is clearly the one to blame. If I owned this house I
would be horrified
