Services were great. Service calls were performed timely and professionally. The home had everything to make our stay one to remember. The layout of the home was great for our needs.

What a house!! Spacious, clean, and a great location right on Deep Creek Lake.

The house is huge and amazing! There were 26 in our group and this house had plenty of room to spread out and not trip over each other. The kitchen was incredible and could handle 10 of us at one time flowing with ease around it. Just a wonderful trip with wonderful memories. Would stay again. Only thing is, the price was a little bit high compared to houses with the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the area. The only difference between the houses that we could see was the indoor pool at Timberlodge. Although and awesome ammenity, I would have rather saved the $2800.00 difference especially with the lake to swim in right outside. Other than that, we loved the house and the whole experience!

Can't wait for Deep Creek!

My husband and I rent the property "Timberlodge" for my 5 siblings, their spouses and children, for a total of 28 people. We come from North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland We have been coming to Deep Creek for 4 years and have stayed at Timberlodge for two of those years. Our entire family looks forward to this week as the highlight of the year. The children (ages from 4 to 25) have an abundance of activities to choose from. We rent a pontoon boat for the week so there are a lot of lake activities going on as well as movies, the indoor pool, Funland and evenings at the fire pit down by the dock. Two nights before we left my 8 year old niece Katelynn, as she was falling asleep, looked at me and said " I can't wait for Deep Creek next year". That pretty much sums up the sentiments of all of us!
Coming back again next year to the same place

Timberlodge was one of the few Railey 9 bedroom homes. We chose it for our family reunion because it was lakefront and had good access to our boats. The master bedrooms are great and the wing over the pool area works well for a family of 4-5. The four smaller bedrooms are adequate and pretty quiet. The kitchen is very workable and well stocked. We could get 7-8 people preparing meals with no problem. Two refrigerators, two dishwashers and two sinks are a must for our group of 22. The decorating is rustic, which is good for small children (leather couches and chairs). The dining chairs are a little uncomfortable, but we did enjoy the large table where most of us could gather for meals. Access to the lake is easy with a long wooden walkway. We have been renting large homes for our family reunions for years and Timberlodge proved to be the most comfortable because we never felt crowded. The a/C did not work properly when we arrived, but Railey's property team took care of problem very quickly.

Overall, the home was the right set-up for our four families. And, given the snowstorm, the pool was a godsend.
I will say that the bathroom in the area over the pool was unacceptable. First, the water had a terrible smell, even taste, to it. Second, the water pressure from the shower was minimal and the shower head didn't help it out. Finally, the shower door was off the hinge and we could not get it back on. Bottom line, we couldn't shower there and didn't feel comfortable brushing our teeth from the sink. It was inconvenient for a family of five to have to use another family's bathroom.
Another family staying in the master area in the basement said that their shower door was broken, too.
We would love to return next winter if the bathrooms are fixed.

This is the third year we have returned to the Timberlodge and each time was as wonderful as the first! The girls at Railey have always been the MOST accomidating in assisting us with everything from firewood delivery to providing us additional linens. The Timberlodge has easily accomidated our group of 25 women with room to spare! Everything about this home is first class and welcoming as soon as you walk through the threshold.
The sunsets over looking the lake is unbelivable and we really enjoy the indoor pool and the hot tub!!
The Timberlodge is located between McHerny and Oakland, so although you feel tucked away from the world, you really are only minutes away from anything you might need or want to do.
This year it was raining the whole weekend of our Retreat but not one person complained. Everyone simply enjoyed their stay and the peace and serenity the Timberlodge, the lake and the Deep Creek area has to offer.
We look forward to our 4th visit next year and MANY MANY MORE!

The house was so perfect and had everything you would ever want. We had folks of all ages and there was enough in this home to entertain all. The location was perfect and the view of lake just breathtaking. The biggest hit was the pool table, pool and hot tub. The kitchen was a dream with all you would ever need to entertain and cook. All the beds was comfortable and the place was very clean. We will be renting this place again===Aplus, plus and more!

We especially enjoyed the water access, lounging on the dock watching the sunset, the wooded lot, the large deck with grill, the clean house with large dining room table and well equipped kitchen.

Excellent House, as promised, everything was there. Absolutely no complains. If there is anything negative, I would give it A Minus for car parking and getting in and out of slightly steep driveway and in coming traffic. Maybe a problem in winter / snow time. But we stayed in summer / fall. This is only negative I could come up with. We would go back to this house anytime / everytime.

There were 18 of (adults/children) who rented out this beautiful home. There was so much space that no one bumped into one another. The kitchen was great with the 2 refigerators and 2 ovens. The massive kitchen table was perfect, all but two could sit down and eat together (though the other two sat at the bar right next to the table.
The lake water was cold in June so the kids had a blast in the indoor pool. Only problem was the alarm kept going off and the only way you could turn it off was to walk to the pool door and push the button (great safety feature by the way - but sometimes our kids were in too much of a hurry to jump in).
The sleeping rooms were very comfortable and pretty quiet with the doors closed. I think everyone had a bed to sleep in.
The boat dock, gazebo and fire put were wonderful. We hooked large rafts to the dock and just floated around. Dad had a blast teaching the grandkids how to fish. He was either on the back desk reading or on the dock fishing.
Fire pit at night with the lighted walkway was perfect with the evening entertainment of kids running around and smores!
I would recommend this house to any and every one. Read more
