Under the Stars served as a focal point for 25 family members to gather and celebrate a recent graduation. It spaciousness allowed ample room for many different personalities to gather under a single roof and enjoy rambunctious activities or to slip away to the peace and quiet. Two pools and two jacuzzis meant never having to wait. The amenities were plentiful and all could gather around the two ample tables for family dinners. Location allowed easy access to all the wonderful DCL activities.

Everything was great; however, the tv's in the rooms needs a serious upgrade and we were disappointed that the driving video game did not work.

The house was beautiful. The two pools were refreshing and attractive. There were many wonderful aspects of the house and the trip, including the floorplan and the view. The use of the outdoor space was great. Some negatives, the air conditioner was not well balanced. Some people were freezing and other areas of the house were extremely warm. The kitchen could use a few more nice pots, pans and serving equipment. The benches in the dining room would be better if they were chairs with backs. We had little to complain about. Most everything was nice. There was a leak that we did report from the master bathroom near the foyer to the bedroom below.

My law office staff and their families enjoy a winter retreat over a long weekend each year in Deep Creek Lake. By far, Under the Stars facilitated the most ideal setting for a large group to enjoy the company of each other and to enjoy their privacy.

My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed Under the Stars. It's a beautiful home and provided us the space we needed. However, there were a few problems. On Sunday morning I noticed several leaks in the house. One in the living room. Water was dripping from the window onto one of the chairs. The other two were in the bedroom and dining room coming from the sliding glass doors. I called the emergency maintenance number and left a message and the problem was never addressed. No one ever came out to the house and no one ever called. That was a bit disconcerting to my guest and was a bit uncomfortable.
The only other issue was the lack of kitchen utensils in the house. There were plenty of plates, cups and glasses. However there was a lack of pots and pans for a home that size.
My guest and I are very interested in renting Under the Stars again next year. However I am concerned about booking again with my the problems that I called in never being addressed. I considered this bad service and actually expected some type of discount or compensation for my inconvienence. -

Our stay was delightful in every respect. This was our 11thfamily reunion and the accomodation met every expectation at Deep Creek.
Minor problem was with the pool alarm which kept malfunctioning and needed several service calls, which were courteous and prompt.
All other amenities that come with a facility that houses 26 were immaculate and worked properly.
LaDonna is a definite asset to the Railey organization as she followed up on all our needs for this year and next year's reunion rental.

From the time that I booked right up until today, the customer service people are professional and courteous. Any time I called or had a question, I felt that I was the only person to which they had talked to all day. How special I felt. They are gems worth holding for an eternity.
The house was excellent and huge. A perfect choice for big crowds such as we had. Worth another stay with minor upgrades such as bigger pots to accommodate the recommended capacity of the house, update TVs include larger screens in all rooms, update VCRs to newer technology such as DVDs.

18 of us stayed Under the Stars in Nov 2008. As the coordinator of the event I was very pleased with the quality and size of the house. Each room was as describe as it was featured on line. The bedrooms, kitchen area, bathrooms and pool/hot tub areas were clean and neatly decorated. There was only one arcade game that was not functioning at the time but it was easy to overlook because every thing else was as promised. The home was in close proximity to the neighboring house. I did not get the impression that it was from the picture featured on line but the house next door was far enough away that we still had privacy. Overall it was a terrific experience and I look forward to the opportunity to occupy this home again.

I had very good service with the rental property process thru Railey. They were accomodating to my requests. I would definitely continue to rent properties thru them.
I have rented "Under the Stars" for several years now. Over the years, I have noticed some maintenance issues, which I provided to Railey earlier. Upgrades of the televisions and DVD Players are of interest to me. Wireless internet services would be great as well. The dialup was too slow. The landscaping around the second entrance needed to be cut back. We were stepping on it as we entered the house. Some minor painting in the bathroom downstairs.
