We’ve spent a week at various water rentals for 20 yrs. This appears to be a new rental for the owner/management company. It shows excellent taste and quality overall, the best towels ever and it's a great house in a wonderful location. The first floor and grounds are elderly friendly. However, the master bedroom shower, the only one elderly accessible, didn't work. After several calls, the management company did, to its credit, tear out the back wall and replace the controls two days after our stay started. Upstairs shutters were only primed. A downstairs bath needed a second coat of paint. The LP tank on the (excellent) grill was low. The kitchen was marvelous BUT we're all avid cooks, and it was dim, even after we bought a 65 watt floodlight for one that burned out. The three reflectors along the outside wall absorb too much light. This could be fixed by installing three 15-watt LED Bulbs, an 85 watt equivalent . Also, there were only one small and one large warped frying pan, the kitchen could also use a couple of 4 quart saucepans to complement the few small and large stock pans that were provided. Knives were OK, but no sharp paring knives or a bread knife. With these few minor fixes, this could become the best rental kitchen we've been in. Sinks, dishwasher, microwave were great, and there was a good blender and portable electric mixer. Adding nightstands to the other side of the queen and king sized beds would be an improvement. All in all the good points, including dock and lake frontage and that the master bedroom and bath and first floor and grounds are all elderly accessible, prevailed. We concluded that the misses were due to this property being new to the owner/management because so much care has been put into making this a very high quality experience. We plan to return and would highly recommend the property even as is.
