Want to stay in Oaxaca in a secure gated community, in the downtown area with everything in easy walking distance? Come and stay for at least a month. Stay in this retirement community have your own apartment with lots of little patio areas. You can walk to the Zocalo or Santo Domingo,or to the mercado or super market. The convenience of being close to everything but once you enter the gate, you are in a old fashioned Mexican patio.

This community of 12 apartments is gated and secure. The apartments are built around patios in the main historical district of downtown Oaxaca. Most of the tenants are retired, but everyone lives in their own independent apartment/studio. The decor is Mexican Rustic with hand woven cotton . The wall hangings are made by local artisans.The apartment is decorated with hand painted Mexican tile in the kitchen and bathroom.There are areas in the community where you can sit out and enjoy the beautiful Oaxacan weather.
The location is wonderfully close to many of the beautiful landmarks. You can easily go to the Zocalo to sit and people watch or over to Santo Domingo. Also if you need to buy food and supplies the super market is about 5 blocks away. Right in front of the building is a restaurant that offers a very inexpensive meal (about $3 US dollars). There are banks on your way to the Zocalo. We are 2 blocks from the Rufino Tamayo Museum.
We have parking within the complex. But there are buses going everywhere you need to go within a couple blocks.
