“Fantastic home, fantastic hosts! We loved it and plan to return!” Chris and Melissa could not have been nicer. The home had everything we needed, right down to a potato peeler! Clean, neat, well-appointed. Everything worked well. Our kids and grandkids loved the walk-out basement and watching the birds every morning. We enjoyed the trails, the beautiful snow-covered fields and trees, and the lovely creek that was partially iced over. It was cold outside, but oh so warm and welcoming inside. Our whole family loved our time at Vista. We all give it our highest recommendation. Thank you from the Gandees!

I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone with a big group of people looking for a great space and great amenities. Kevin was great and was able to answer all our my questions in a timely manner. Can’t wait to stay at the Tower again!

LORELEI II Beach & Bay

Ocean City condo

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 6

“Lorelei II Ocean City MD condo” We would like to thank you for allowing us to rent your Ocean City condo. The drive can be hectic, but we arrived to comfortable, clean and well-appointed living spaces. It was a beautiful and spacious; plenty of room for our family to all gather together or relax in their own bedroom spaces. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay; complete with the “little things" like salt and pepper, pizza cutter, etc. The unit also had the convenience of getting some much needed laundry done, especially after a few "salty" days at the beach or a dip in the pool. The televisions and WiFi came in handy for that one rainy ‘do activities indoors’ day. The unit is true to the photos and video you have online. Again, we had a wonderful time in Ocean City and your home was an excellent place to stay. We look forward to renting from you again in the future.

Red Run Cabin

Oakland log cabin

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 6

“Beautiful, clean home in a perfect setting!” My husband, two year old daughter, dog and I just returned from a five night stay at Red Run Cabin. The home, although nothing fancy, was beautiful and well kept. We generally always stay in cabins or condos when we travel and this was by far the cleanest rental we've stayed in. It is located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, with the lake right across the street with easy "beach" access. Our ten year old nephew who lives in the area and came to visit loved the game room with bumper pool and fooseball. We also made use of the plentiful board games available and watched several of the multitude of older movies to choose from when it was raining. Our family loved grilling out with us (charcoal and propane provided) and roasting smores over the firepit. My husband and I spent every night relaxing in the hot tub after our toddler and dog had settled in for the night. The home does not have air conditioning (which I believe is common for the area) but plenty of fans that allowed us to stay fairly comfortable in the Springtime mid 70's weather. The kitchen was equipped very well, although it may be time to invest in some new knives. John, the owner, was a very kind and patient and you can tell he takes great pride in his rentals. Whenever we come this way again, we will definitely return to Red Run Cabin.

White Oak Retreat

Swanton house

“Lovely place for family vacation!” This spacious log house was a perfect fit for our first family trip to Deep Creek. We had plenty of room for our group of 11 people (3 couples and 5 single adults). Everyone was pleased with the accommodations. It was clean, spacious and well equipped. John & Kathy Joyce were a pleasure to deal with. They were very helpful from beginning to end. We had such a good time that we hope to visit again next year.

About Maryland

Maryland's balmy coastal weather, close proximity to the nation's capital and phenomenal beaches make it an excellent place to enjoy a vacation. This small mid-coastal state is home to one of America's most beautiful bays, Chesapeake Bay. Maryland is nicknamed "America in miniature" because it offers a little of everything: urban charm, mountains, rolling plains and grasslands, crystal-clear coastal waters and a rich history. The state is also famous for its food; no vacation to Maryland is complete without sampling the fresh seafood, especially the delectable crab cakes.

Some of the many attractions and destinations in the state include:

  • Baltimore: A vibrant city on the Chesapeake Bay, Baltimore bustles with excitement and glimpses into America's storied history. Scenic Annapolis is also worth checking out if you want to take in a broader sampling of the state's urban style.
  • Chesapeake Bay: Spanning beyond Baltimore, Maryland's famous bay is a world unto itself, with outstanding fishing, swimming and sightseeing. Spectacular sunsets are a daily occurrence making Chesapeake Bay a perfect romantic getaway for couples.
  • Antietam Battlefield: The site of the single bloodiest battle in Civil War history, the Antietam Battlefield was the setting for the first Civil War battle fought in the North.
  • The Appalachian Trail: Even though the Appalachian Trail only meanders through 40 miles of Maryland, it's among the most beautiful and scenic stretches on the entire route.
  • Assateague Island National Seashore: Perhaps the most unique of the many Maryland National Parks, Assateague Island National Seashore is a barrier island that hosts an astonishing range of flora and fauna, including rare birds and wild ponies.

Summer is the perfect time to visit Maryland as Ocean City makes a perfect place for a family vacation. Annapolis' City Dock, which has remained virtually unchanged for a century, has summertime concerts by the shores of the Chesapeake. During the summer, you can also visit Maryland campgrounds and bring the family to one of the many water parks in Maryland.

For your accommodations, why not get a beach house if you're staying along the coast or a condo to better enjoy all the sights and sounds of the city? Vacation rentals offer more room and privacy than hotels and come complete with all the comforts of home.

Maryland is also close to two of the eastern United States' most storied and popular cities: Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Both are an easy day trip from just about anywhere in the state and offer a more complete glimpse into the vibrant culture of this important corner of the country.

If you want to explore more of the area surrounding Delaware, remember that Philadelphia is only about 20 miles from downtown Wilmington. One of America's most historic and popular cities, Philadelphia makes an ideal day trip for those staying in Delaware.

Pet Friendly Home with Assateague Island Views near Ocean City and Berlin, Md.
Lovely home with amazing views and pet friendly

We loved our stay at this home in Assateague. The house was big and plentiful for our family and fur babies. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub, the huge windows with amazing views and the ease of checking in. The fenced in yard was a huge plus for us as we have a dog with disabilities who does not walk on a leash well. Thank you for opening your home to us and we looking forward to staying again sometime soon!see more

Belmont Towers 611
Clean, well-kept large space good for a large group/family, with great customer service.

The location and space itself were perfect. We had a group of women for a "girls' weekend" and had plenty of space for each of us and our stuff. It would be great for a family as well. The unit was very clean upon entry. We could see the water from various views, and having a balcony was a great feature. Working with the rental company was easy - they were friendly and responded to each question quickly. I would visit again and/or recommend it to anyone!see more

Perfect getaway from home quarantine.

This place was just perfect for my family and guests. The pool was an ideal place to hang and Jerry and David are great hosts. Highly recommend hiring a captain for a trip to Tangier and/or Smith Island. Otherwise, sit back and relax at the pool. … see more
