Reading, PAThe location was an affordable way to enjoy the beach.
Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our stay at Lost Colony #221 was very pleasant. We had a late check-in, and Century 21 Horizon made it very easy to do so. Prior to the trip, I had called regarding the details, and Bea was very pleasant and informative. Our only issues occurred the first evening we were there. Upon arriving, we did have difficulty finding the unit. There were no directions in the late arrival package, but we found it after some searching. The website said "bedding for 6", so we did not have linens. (We purchased them the next day.) Several closet doors were off the track and the coffee maker wasn't clean, but considering how economical the stay was, it was easy to work with those issues. The rest of the stay was very enjoyable. The location was 2-3 blocks from the beach for easy walking to and from. The rental is right on the border of Delaware, so the less crowded Fenwick attractions are readily available (ice cream, mini golf, etc). The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. There is a breakfast bar between the kitchen and living room which turned into a great gathering place for talking, eating, or using the high-speed internet. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable, and we would consider renting this unit, again.

Mechanicsville, Md.I thought the condo was ok for my two night stay.
Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The condo was ok. It could of been cleaner but I am very particular. Most of the light bulbs were out. The Tv's were not working. The tiolet in the hallaway is not working properly. The furniture could of used a good cleaning and the kitchen applicances definately needed to be cleaned before I could even use them. I told the person at the office when I return are key what some of the problems were. I thought she would have contacted me and gave me a credit for the 3rd night since we did not want to stay any longer. We chose to leave a day earlier because of these problems. It would have been nice to get a refund of some source but as of today I have heard nothing. The girl at the desk even as me for a number I could be contacted at. She said she needed to talk to manager but again as of today no word.

North CarolinaGood deal for the price, in spite of the issues
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The apartment was a very good price for housing in Ocean City (particularly during the craziness of august vacations), but it wasn't exactly luxurious. There was a good deal of peeling wallpaper, dirty floors, and we couldn't get the microwave working. However, overall it was a comfortable stay for myself and my five friends and I would definitely consider staying there again. The only truly significant issue we encountered was the distance from most things in Ocean City (the northern part of the city, where this condo is located, is pretty residential, so it was quite a distance from the boardwalk, any well-known restaurants, or anything like that), which was compounded by the insane traffic (we found that you have to at least double or triple the time that mapquest estimates it will take to get anywhere within Ocean City). However, it was a very short walk to the beach nearby so that was nice.

Greencastle, PAcould have been better
Left on 08/11/2010 for a stay in August 2010
The place was really dirty when we arrived. Had not been cleaned by cleaning company. Dishes in the sink, food and hair on the counters and floors. Took two hours for them to come clean, but then they only did the minimum. Blinds in living room and bedroom were dirty and broken. Dishes/pots and pans in the cabinets were put away dirty. Had to put a blanket up in the first bedroom over the window for privacy. The place is just outdated and needs some repairs and a really really good cleaning. Someone tried to paint over the existing wall paper and left the plastic to cover the carpet on the floor behind the couches. I was very disappointed. The place has not been taken care of at all. Pictures on the website need to be updated...not accurate. Would not stay again.

Ellicott CityAs a Last Resort
Left on 08/06/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We decided at the last minute to go to OC at the end of July. More ideal places were booked up within our price range. In the unit, most of the blinds on windows and sliding door were broken. A closet door was completely broken off of the door frame. We were told (and it was stated online) that the unit had Internet access, but it required a passcode when we tried to logon. I called the office but they never found out the code for us. I had missed a deadline, luckily not a crucial one.
